I didn't know what Micheal was thinking but luckily for , he disclosed it right away as he took a step forward and asked,
"Tell ," his expression had turned from ghostly shocked to ghostly curious. "What were you thinking about, Hyung? I need to know."
Huh?
"What was it that made you laugh so sincerely?"
Oh, so he was referring to that. Co to think of it, I don't think I've ever laughed quite sincerely since entering this dream.
Maybe it's because I've been too cautious and need to calculate my every move. But I seem to be dropping my guard quite a lot in front of these two so I let myself go when I thought about them farting so openly.
"I'm curious, Hyung." I looked into his curious eyes which seed rather desperate.
"Well,"
There was no way I could tell him that I thought of him farting in a conference room. I'd rather die than do that. And yet... I could not find any other reason that would cause to laugh so much.
So, I could not even lie.
"I thought of sothing rather embarrassing," I said, "I'm sorry but I'm too embarrassed to disclose what it is. You don't mind if I keep it to myself, do you?"
I had to hope that he would be a little bit understanding and not force to disclose my reasons for laughing.
Hearing what I had to say, he slowly lowered his gaze and let out a muffled,
"Oh,"
He looked a little disappointed but it couldn't be helped.
"Why are you curious, anyway?" I asked but he looked away, scratching the back of his neck shyly.
He looked cute when he acted shy.
I reached my hand out to stroke his hair and he blushed, mumbling his reasons softly.
"Because Hyung looked so pretty when he laughed like that, and I..." He lifted his gaze and t mine quite intently. "I wish to make you laugh like that more often."
This caused to withdraw my hand imdiately and turn around.
"Hyung?" He called, confused at my sudden action but I pursed my lips.
I don't know what's going on, but my body isn't acting the way I want it, and neither is my heart. I don't believe this heart belongs to . If not, it wouldn't skip beats so frequently like soone who was suffering from arrhythmia.
And my face was heating up because I couldn't contain the after-effects of my skipped heartbeat. After my heart skipped a beat, it went on to thump more vibrantly than before.
I could feel it so loudly and clearly that I knew it wasn't normal.
And it just wasn't for one of them either. I glanced up to find Ki-hoon staring at , equally confused.
My heart was reacting this way to Ki-hoon as well. Have I grown too fond of them?
I know it can't be helped when they're so handso and considerate to . Liking them is good. It's not a bad thing but it would beco quite problematic if real feelings start developing so early in the novel.
And why do I say that?
Because love dulls one's judgnt.
This is a dream, so I need to get my head on straight and not fall for characters that I'd never get to see again after waking up. Because the only one who would suffer it then would be .
"Okay, I think we've talked quite a lot." I said. "I should go brush my teeth and Min-Cheol," I placed my hand on his shoulder and gave him a thumbs up. "You'll do well at work today, right? I know you will. So, all the best."
I didn't wait for a response and hurried towards the stairs.
I climbed up with the speed of light, as if, and finally got to my room. All the while, I felt their eyes on . It was as if they were trying to strip naked to find out what I was hiding.
I squeezed my eyes tight and pressed my lips together. They would never find out my secret. I would make sure of it.
By the ti I got down from my room, the table had been set. Every al in this mansion was extravagant. Even a simple breakfast would have the table filled to the brim and that was because they planned to faten up.
Luckily, it was working. My sunken cheeks had co out and my skin was feeling so much more vibrant. I take it that they were using a certain expensive fragrance that was good for bringing out my skin color.
It was no wonder the baths were always so relaxing.
Another weak like this and I was sure I would no longer be able to see my ribs.
"Here," Ki-hoon handed a phone which surprised .
I felt we were too early into the novel for to be receiving a phone from them. But well, we weren't following the flow of the novel anymore. That much was clear.
I accepted it and he said,
"This way, you'll be able to see the notifications of your account alert," he said. "Your card is behind the phone case. I don't think you'll need it for anything but it's best to have one, as I was told."
Well, you were told correctly. To think he had prepared so much. I only asked for an account and yet he bought a phone as well.
I smiled and thanked him.
"Thank you, Hyung." My smile got him blushing but he looked away with his hand over his mouth as if clearing his throat and added with a light mumble that I barely made out the words.
"You can call on the phone if you miss as well." He mumbled but I thought I heard wrong and asked,
"What was that?"
But he was too shy to repeat it and shook his head.
"Never mind."
So, did I hear right or not?
Extra***
Ki-hoon tapped his fingers on his desk continuously as he pondered deeply about his concern but he couldn't get answers so he decided to look up the Internet on his laptop and typed down,
*How to make your lover happy without hinting at it?*
He got a lot of results, but most of the results happened to be r18-related, which got him mad, and he threw his laptop away.
"Useless!" He growled.
His assistant next to him could only look away awkwardly as a sweat dropped from his face.
'Boss is acting weird again.'
