(Okay, so it’s been a while since I updated, still in turmoil in my family, but I think I shouldn’t keep my readers waiting for too long. Sorry, and I’ll try my best)
I have to say it.
It was definitely as if Min-Cheol read my mind. He did just as I wanted without even hearing it directly from .
"O-okay," I stuttered.
He said it was fine, but... I looked around. Was it, though?
"Don’t worry, Hyung." He placed his arm over my shoulder. "It’s going to be fine."
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Tell the truth. You’re a mind-reader," I said, my eyes glinting with suspicion but my words only made him laugh.
It must’ve been hilarious to him.
"I’m not, Hyung. But I’d like to be." He said and then leaned closer. "I’d really like to know the thoughts that go through your head every day, Hyung."
Welp, no.
It’s better to stay oblivious than know too much. It’s better for both of us.
I smiled at him.
"I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t want to be a mind-reader," I said.
We had begun to walk down the street, just the two of us, a good distance away from the guards.
Yeah, it felt so much freer now that they weren’t breathing down our necks.
Min-Cheol took his hand off my shoulder and then held my hand, interlocking our fingers softly and gently.
"Hyung, do you know?" He lifted his gaze from our interlocked fingers and then at my face. "I used to think you could read minds."
"Wow, how co?" I asked but he shook his head lightly, barely, due to the cast.
"No grand reason. You just... Sohow always seed to know what I was thinking." He said. "You acted accordingly so mysteriously."
Well, it’s probably because I knew exactly what kind of person you were before we t so I knew how to handle you.
It wouldn’t be strange to think I had been reading your mind.
I know your wants and likes better than anyone, after all.
"You were just imagining it," I said. "I was just doing my best to be liked by my masters back then. There was no way I’d be able to read your mind."
"You’re right." He said. "But then, that ans you were just so great at what you were doing. You knew just what I wanted even if I didn’t say it."
I slowly lowered my head.
Does this count as deceiving him? I wonder.
I don’t have a strong sense telling to tell him, or the others the truth yet, but as ti goes by, there will co a ti when I have no choice... Where I would want to tell them everything.
And when I do... I gripped Min-Cheol’s hand tightly subconsciously... I can’t begin to imagine the kind of expressions they would make.
"They might think I’m crazy," I suddenly mumbled.
"What was that?" He asked and I snapped, realizing I said that out.
"Ah, it’s nothing," I said, trying to brush it off with a smile. "Would you like to check so of the stores?"
I quickly changed the topic but I doubt he wouldn’t be suspicious. Well, it couldn’t be helped.
"It’s late, so how about plain coffee?" He asked but I don’t really like coffee.
"Oh, by the way, did you send the cakes back to the mansion earlier on?" I asked and he responded.
"Yes. You said the chocolate cake and snacks were for Jie-Yu, right?"
"Yeah."
There were a lot of cakes we couldn’t eat, obviously, so I asked him to send them ho first and the maids could keep them in the fridge.
I didn’t tell him anything else but those cakes, I planned to give them to the maids later, haha. I just hope they don’t reject it.
"If we take a turn, we might co across a coffee shop." He said, but then, without warning, it started pouring.
Rain?
Already?
I didn’t even know we had entered the rainy season all this ti.
But more than that... When was the last ti I was rained on?
It was... Brr, cold.
"Co on, Hyung. We can’t stand under the rain." Min-Cheol said, screaming so I could hear due to the heavy and loud downpour.
The guards were rushing towards us while taking off their coats to use as a cover for us, but Min-Cheol wasn’t hurrying so we could get the guards’ protection, he was pulling forward.
He wanted us to run.
Wait, what?
Wouldn’t the logical answer be to get umbrellas?
But then I saw a side of Min-Cheol I hadn’t seen before.
He was laughing.
He suddenly lifted and spun around, while minding his neck, and then placed down.
"What are you...?"
I was taken aback, honestly.
"Co on, Hyung. It’s raining." He said, still laughing excitedly. "When was the last ti you played in the rain?"
Um, when I was 18?
Wait, no that’s not the point. Why were we running in the rain? What if we got sick?
But Min-Cheol seed to have forgotten about reality for a while, running as we tried to escape the guards and soak up more from a natural water source.
It was wonderful, honestly. Exhilarating.
Soaking in the rain, watching Min-Cheol run happily as if he had no care in the world, and then lose the guards.
It was...
"Atchew!" I sneezed.
Min-Cheol paused, my sneezing bringing him back to reality.
Right. I was very prone to sickness.
"Let’s find shelter first." He said, rain dripping down his face from his wet hair.
I nodded and followed him.
Luckily, we were able to find shelter. But you’ll never guess where we found this ’shelter’.
It was none other than a store that sold adult toys.
Great.
On the left, on the right, and even in front of us, there were all sorts of exotic ’experiences’ that shocked both Min-Cheol and .
"Ah, little Min. Don’t you think we’re too young for this?"
