I played a few more tis, swinging the golf club, I an, and I missed the ball a few tis, but by correcting my posture and paying attention to the ball a little less, I was able to hit it a few tis and finally got halfway through the golf course, towards the flag.
"Yes!" I sang in excitent. "I’m almost there."
Just then, I heard horse neighs and turned to find Jie-Yu approaching on her horse.
Why was she still riding? Was it really that fun?
She got closer and then pulled the reins.
"Whoa," I watched as she patted the horse’s mane and then looked up at us. "Ah, I apologize for coming in the horse but there were no carts, and I didn’t know how to call for one, so..."
As soon as she said that, I shifted my gaze to Seo-Jun but he rolled his own eyes to the sky, avoiding the bla.
Did we take all the carts? I was sure there were a couple more at the entrance of the field. Guess they were still there.
"Well, it doesn’t matter," I said. "As long as you’re here. Do you want to play golf?"
I noticed her brief hesitation but then she smiled.
"Ah, yes, I’d love to." She said and got down from the horse.
One of the guards aided her and then took the horse’s reins, just to keep it from running around.
"Thank you," she smiled politely at the guard and then walked towards us, squirming a bit as she saw Min-Cheol and Seo-Jun.
"Co and get a club," I said to her.
Jie-Yu picked a club and then noticed we had changed shirts but she didn’t say anything. Not like we were obligated to get a shirt for her as well and even if we did get her one, she couldn’t change there since she was a woman and... Well, you get the gist.
She put on a pair of gloves and then looked at the ball.
I saw her position just like Seo-Jun and Min-Cheol did and in that mont, I knew she was equally a golf professional.
But that snazzy image disappeared when she swung the club and gazed afar, wondering how far the ball had gone.
"Where did it go?" She asked.
"Pft," Seo-Jun stifled a laugh. He was doing his best not to laugh, his shoulders trembling, and the sa with Min-Cheol since I had my eyes strictly on them.
"Jie-Yu," I called and she looked back. "The ball... You didn’t hit the ball." I said and she looked down.
The mont she saw the ball still in position, her face turned red.
She trembled, feeling embarrassed, and then the two, who were holding in their laughter, let it out.
I sighed. Must they make matters worse?
"Well, it’s not like I got a hit the first ti either," I said, shrugging my shoulders.
It wasn’t a big deal to be bad at sothing anyway. But maybe after acting like she knew how to play golf, the embarrassnt that ca from her failure was in double folds.
"I’m sorry. Actually, I’m very terrible at golf." She said, not like she ever said she was good at it.
It was no wonder she was hesitant when I asked if she wanted to play.
"But it looked like you had all the basics down," I said, but she shook her head, her red face resembling that of a tomato.
"Well, I do know the basics but my swings never hit." She said, "I thought I’d get lucky and get a bit this ti but..." she shook her head. "Sorry for disappointing you."
"No, no, it’s fine," I said.
What disappointnt? It actually makes feel better that there are people worse than in these things. At least I got a few swings in.
I touched my chest, feeling light, and said to her,
"Now we’re even," but she tilted her head, puzzled.
(Jo-Pil is keeping a grudge cause he’s terrible at horse riding, lol)
"Anyways, why don’t we wrap things up here?" I suggested, turning to the two of them. "Shall we head back in? The sun will start setting soon and I think I’m getting hungry again."
I don’t need my stomach to ring an alarm again. It’s embarrassing.
"Then let’s go have a few snacks for now," Min-Cheol said and before we knew it, Seo-Jun was in the driver’s seat of the cart, pressing the horn.
"What are you slowpokes waiting for?" He asked, grinning. "Get in."
Now, even if Min-Cheol wants to argue about driving the cart, he has no chance since Seo-Jun was already in the driver’s seat.
"I’ll ride the horse back to the stable," Jie-Yu said, waving at and I nodded.
"Alright, please be careful."
She might be great at riding but there’s no telling when an accident might occur.
Hearing my concern, she blushed and nodded.
"Alright, I will."
But her blush caught the attention of my two Alphas, and they kept their eyes on her, wondering what her deal was. I could sense hostility in their gaze.
If it just so happens that they find out Jie-Yu might have feelings for , I don’t think things are going to end well. It won’t be so simple as them kicking her out of the mansion so I’m a bit worried.
Was asking her to stay here for a few days a bad idea after all?
Well, it’s only a few days. Let’s endure. If things get freaky, I’ll just make sothing up on her behalf.
We rode the carts back to the mansion, my gaze drifting over the endless sea of green grass, and I wondered... Just how were they even maintaining the field at such a level?
It was amazing.
And then my gaze drifted to the end, where Seo-Jun said it was filled with water.
I closed my eyes.
I don’t think I need this information so let’s forget about it. The sheer thought of it gives the creeps.
(Is that a foreboding I see? But not now though. Still very far in the future)
