I watched their faces as they read. Seo-Jun’s smirk slipped off first, leaving a faint frown in its place. Min-Cheol’s lips pressed into a thin line. Neither of them said anything right away.
I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, feeling suddenly naked. "Well? Say sothing."
Seo-Jun folded the letter neatly, almost too neatly, and looked up at . His eyes were unreadable.
"You should’ve just said this before," he muttered.
Min-Cheol had a little flustered expression on his face. He was embarrassed, so he ended up looking away.
"Hyung... I didn’t know you felt like that." He said, his words low and soft.
"Of course you didn’t," I said flatly, though my voice cracked a little. "I never said anything about it up till now anyway."
"To think you’ve felt so lonely," he added. "I did think that would be the case and that’s why I always wanted to co back early. That’s why I got you that teddy too but..." He scratched his face. "... It seems it didn’t help at all."
"It’s not your fault. You’re just so busy. Unlike you working n, I’m a lazy bum always at ho." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Still, sorry."
Just look at him apologizing. He was so cute.
"Should I just quit my job?" He mumbled and I snapped. Say what?
"No, no, don’t quit. You have to work." I said, and turned to Seo-Jun, fearing he was having the sa lazy thought as Min-Cheol.
But he was still lost in thought, his grip lightly holding the piece of paper and his eyes softly rested on it.
What was he thinking about? I wondered but I couldn’t guess it.
"There was a ti I felt so lonely that I thought having a friend would solve the issue." He suddenly mumbled out of nowhere but then he raised his head and said no more about it. "Fine," he said.
He glanced towards Jie-Yu and then back to .
"We’ll let her stay for a couple of days, just dorn indulge her too much and forget to spend ti with us." He said, flipping the paper about and my heart ward up.
That was so nice to hear for so reason.
"And next ti, don’t write a novel when you can just tell what you want."
Look at this punk. Weren’t you the one who wanted a love letter? Well, this is my sincerest feelings, jerk.
And who was it that was talking about compensation and whatnot? Think with your heart and not your head sotis.
"Phew," I let out a soft sigh. "Maybe next ti I’ll be able to talk without any issues but for now, just deal with the paper," I replied, folding my arms.
He cracked a faint smile at that.
"Maybe."
I flinched. What’s that supposed to an?
I turned to Min-Cheol.
"Are you okay with this?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Yes, Hyung. If she can take away your loneliness by even a bit then I’ll let her stay." He said and I tilted my head, thinking for a bit.
Jin-Yeok sent her here, so that ans he’ll probably approve of letting her stay for a while.
Now, all that’s left is to get Ki-hoon’s permission.

Oh right, there’s still the most important opinion needed.
"Miss Jie-Yu," I called and she waved her hand, looking quite anxious,
"Ah, no, just call casually like you did earlier." She said and I could tell she was wary of the two in front of us.
"Alright, then you can call Jo-Pil," I said to her. She did not give a definite answer as she was still cautious, so I just went ahead and asked, "What do you think? Can you stay for a few days? Or do you have things you need to do and can’t stay?"
I secretly and inwardly prayed she was free for at least a week, and she thought about it.
"Honestly, with my father’s company in a ss and my father currently in a coma, I can’t do anything. ’He’ said he would fix things for so I guess I should just wait to hear from him, right?" I frantically nodded, holding her hand. "But I’ll have to go out at least once to check on my dad in the hospital,"
"That’s not a problem," I said, smiling widely. I was happy.
If she were here, I would finally be able to have a normal conversation with soone aside from my master’s.
"Ah, do you want to go horseback rid—?"

My face heated up right away and my body stiffened.

Jie-Yu blinked a few tis at the sound she was sure she heard from my belly and then she cracked into a soft laughter.
"Jo-Pil-nim, your stomach makes quite the funny sound." She said and I turned to find Seo-Jun and Min-Cheol’s shoulders trembling as they backed , trying their best not to laugh.
Ah, why is the author so cruel to only ? Just let the ground open up and swallow already.
