The next morning, I woke up alone on the bed. It was morning, I could tell, but the room didn’t brighten up at all.
Maybe because the dark blinds were still in place. So even the little rays of light couldn’t seep in from the corners.
I sat up, scrubbing my hair and feeling the urge to go to the bathroom when I heard a familiar voice ask,
"You’re awake." I raised my head and found Jin-Yeok sitting at his desk with what looked like a glass of wine in his hand.
Seriously, who drinks wine so early in the morning?
Apparently, he does.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked, and I answered with a grumbling tone.
"Yeah."
I clearly just wanted to go take a piss and then slam my head on the pillow once again because I still felt sleepy, but Jin-Yeok wanted to have a conversation with .
More like he wanted to watch do as I did since just the re sight of it was amusing.
"Wanna drink?" he asked, swirling his glass of wine in front of , but I shook my head, getting down from the bed.
"No, thank you."
What ti was it anyway?
I walked towards the bathroom that had a similar structure to mine and went for the toilet.
Only after freeing my bladder did I feel I could sleep for ten more hours. Such an exaggeration, but I liked my sleep.
I returned to the room after washing my hands and saw Jin-Yeok sipping his wine slowly.
He had one hand in his pocket, his legs crossed, and his gaze on the floor as he pondered deeply on who knows what.
But he looked rather charming in that pose.
Enough to make walk up to him, gently wrap my arms around his neck, and lean my head on his. And then I asked,
"What’s on your mind? It looks like sothing’s bothering you." This caused his lips to curve up in delight.
"It makes glad that Jo-Pil worries for ," he said and took his hand out of his pocket, holding my arm. "But nothing’s bothering . This is just how I spend my mornings."
"Really?" I asked, and he nodded.
"But if sothing was indeed bothering ," he dropped his glass on the table and then grabbed my arm, pulling to the front, "what would you do to help ?"
He suddenly had his control over , his hands around my waist and my hands on his shoulders, staring at his sparkling eyes in the dark.
They didn’t seem that muddy anymore. So was it just exhaustion that caused it?
Even though he didn’t look exhausted on the outside, maybe he was very drained within.
"What would you have do?" I asked him, pursing my lips in a thin fine line as I tried to figure out this man’s needs.
"Well, it’s quite simple, actually," he said, drawing closer, and I felt there was nothing simple with this guy. "Can I have your lips?" he suddenly asked, which took aback. "I think a little kiss can solve the problem."
"But you just said there’s nothing bothering you," I pointed out. "Isn’t this a hypothesis?"
"Haha," he laughed. "Did I say that?"
This guy...
"But I feel quite bothered now that you ntion it," he said and pulled closer so he could press his head on my chest. "I haven’t been able to spend enough ti with Jo-Pil, and it looked like you were about to scold last night."
Well, I was and I wasn’t. Anyway, we literally slept on the sa bed, so isn’t that enough ti to make up for the tis we weren’t able to spend together?
Hm, if he was being like this, then it’s understandable why he was suddenly getting so clingy since last night after I returned with Seo-Jun.
Did he miss that much?
"So, won’t you cheer up with just a little kiss?"
"But I haven’t brushed my teeth yet," I said, feeling his fingers crawl up my back and towards my neck.
"Does it matter?"
Yes, it does. Hygiene, master. Hygiene.
"Yes, I think it does," I answered, but it wasn’t like I hadn’t kissed any of my masters before brushing my teeth in the morning.
But the difference between now and those tis is that they never gave a heads-up and just drew in with that sexual appeal to claim my lips.
"Then, will it be alright if you get to brush your teeth?" he asked. "I don’t want you to feel awkward during our kiss just because you’re worried your morning breath stinks."
I almost gasped in disbelief.
Mister, I’ll have you know that I am the protagonist, and we have a lot of perks, like having fresh and minty breath even after being asleep for more than ten hours.
And we don’t die easily either, hmph. Though danger is always lurking around, we all know it’s for the damn plot.
Ahem, I think I got emotional just now.
So, speaking of the damn plot, does this an that the event this night was bound to be dangerous since the protagonist was going to be present and the plot needs to be plotting?
I was getting kind of anxious now, but not as much as I was excited.
"So, what do you say?" he asked, brushing my hair gently and giving a sweet smile.
"Let’s... go brush our teeth."
I was going to use this opportunity to go clear my head, but before I knew it, Jin-Yeok called forth the maids on standby and told them to get my brush.
"Let’s brush together, Jo-Pil," he said, and I felt sweaty all of a sudden.
Why... does he want to do this to ?
I usually prohibit my masters from doing stuff that the others haven’t and might not do.
Sothing like bathing together. Completely out of the question... for now.
I can’t say I prohibited them from watching bathe, since Min-Cheol watched bathe the first day we t, and the only reason I didn’t let them watch bathe back then when they all collectively wanted to watch , was because I felt too embarrassed and didn’t want to be observed like I was so fish in an aquarium.
And as for brushing of teeth... I just never thought of it.
