A few days later, I got the bandages taken off my arm, and Min-Cheol’s shoulder seed to be better as well.
Like I said, the pharmaceutical technology was so advanced.
"Your back should’ve been fully healed in a few days but you’ve stressed it so much that you’ve delayed it."
Here cos Cha Hyun-woo here to lecture with that irritating tone of his but for the first ti, I was actually not annoyed by that tone.
I smiled.
"Well, It’s just a week delay, right?" I said. "I’m not complaining and... Thank you for your hard work, doc." My smile grew wider, and I could’ve sworn I saw a flush on his cheek, but he turned his head right away, not allowing to take a closer look and confirm what I had seen.
What’s this? Was he smitten already?
"You..." Hyun-woo began, but he looked uncertain about what he was about to say, so he didn’t make eye contact and talked in a low tone. "Sothing feels different about you." He muttered.
Ah, he must’ve noticed.
I was more genuine with my expressions and was more at peace, so of course, there was sothing different about .
"Today, I’m going to go with Little Min to check out the new baseball court." I said, "That’s okay, right?"
"You’ve been doing whatever you like up until now. Why are you asking that now?" He asked and I smiled happily.
"I don’t want my doctor to keep nagging so I’ll listen to his advice." I said and once again, I saw the flush.
What was this now? It was actually fun.
"Ahem," he cleared his throat, trying to dismiss the flush. "You’re almost healed, and your hands are fine now, so you can go about doing whatever." He said. "Even doing strenuous things won’t be a problem but since you’re naturally physically weak, try not to stress yourself too much." He said and I nodded. "You’ll end up fainting again if you do."
"Haha, I wouldn’t want that to happen." I said. "My masters will only worry more and I can’t have that."
Cha Hyun-woo paused for a minute and then turned to . I saw the flush this ti. It was small, but it was a color on this dull, pretty face doctor that was hard to ignore.
’So, does he like now? When did that start?’
Since I was unconscious most of the ti he treated , I couldn’t even think of it. Then, did he just like as a human being, since he didn’t naturally like humans to begin with?
Well, it’s one improvent I wouldn’t want to ignore.
"Hwang Jo-Pil," he called and opened his mouth to talk nit then twisted it as he turned away, saying no more.
He definitely looked like he had sothing to tell but he suddenly backed out.
"What is it, Doc?"
Was he just too shy to say it? What was it?
"It’s nothing."
Gah, I hate that.
"But, do you take the supplents I gave you?" He asked. "Four days ago, I saw the things on your neck so I assud that you’re already doing things like that."
Ah, he was talking about the hickeys. He probably saw it after I fainted.
"You should take it so you can conserve your stamina. You’re already frail and weak, and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be able to hold back when..."
"Alright, stop stop. It’s embarrassing to hear you say it." I imdiately cut him short, my face flushing heavily.
I knew exactly what he ant so he didn’t need to spell it all out.
We weren’t even having sex yet, and I got that hickey in a make-out section so it was fine. But...
"Yes, I’m taking the supplents."
I can’t exactly tell him that I don’t plan to have sex with them any ti soon since it won’t seem normal that I was the one calling the shots.
I already told him that they were waiting for to be ready and with this hickey as proof, it seed like I was ready.
I don’t need to talk much. He won’t understand anyway.
"Then, that’s good. If you run out, let know and I’ll give you another." He said and I twisted my lips, contemplating.
He was being excessively friendly and was speaking in a friendly tone as well.
I don’t believe he beca like this because of Seo-Jun’s scolding or did it have sothing to do with that flush on his cheek?
Hmmm, I couldn’t get it even if I wanted to since he was a complicated character, but...
"Why are you being so nice all of a sudden?"
As soon as I asked that, he paused, surprised, and I was equally surprised.
The question slipped out of my mouth before I realized it. I didn’t plan to ask him. I an, given his character, he wouldn’t even attempt to answer and would just ignore .
But contrary to what I thought, he actually responded.
"It seems like I was very awful to you." He said.
’Seems?’ Now that’s an understatent.
"Like I said before, I don’t like humans in general and only work when there’s huge money on the table. I’m lazy as well and bad at communicating."
That’s not sothing you hear from your everyday doctor but okay.
"But I realized I might’ve been excessively harsh on you and acted out of line, trying to bla you for things that should originally be my fault."
Yeah, he did that a couple of tis.
"And force things on you without a proper explanation. Neither of that is normal, and I know it, but I just wanted to make it so that I don’t..." He darted his eyes away, nervously.
Okay, big boy. Don’t stop there. Keep talking.
I need to hear the end of your words if I’m going to understand you better.
I hope there’s no interruption because it’s ti to figure out Doctor Cha Hyun-woo.
"I didn’t want to commit a sin by getting attached to you."
I blinked. And then blinked again before my eyes widened.
Did he just say what I thought he said? And what was with that awkwardly nervous expression on his face?
It was almost as if he was confessing his feelings or sothing.
Wait, he said the reason he acted like that was because he didn’t want to commit a sin by getting attached to . So, the reason he was nice to now... I gulped... Was it because he was already attached to ?
Just looking at his reaction, I could already conclude that my thoughts were right.
Cha Hyun-woo... Liked .
