"Hey, why are you crying?" Cha Hyun-woo asked as he looked at in shock, and I responded,

"It’s because you’re such a cruel man." I said, wiping the tears off my cheek with the hem of my sleeves that had covered my part of my palm.

I don’t know if saying that would change anything, but I wish he would feel as bad as I did.

And then, Seo-Jun dropped his hand on Hyun-woo’s shoulder, causing him to flinch as he had not realized he was next to him.

But what made him flinch more was the murderous gaze Seo-Jun was giving him.

"I heard that." Seo-Jun said. "Since when was it your place to lecture my Oga, huh?"

When did he even get there? And why was he being such a busybody? And why was I his Oga? He shouldn’t be going around claiming rights, even if he were my master. Boohoo.

It made cry even more, though.

"I only told him what his words implied, and it was the truth." Hyun-woo fearlessly said, but he soon got what his fearlessness caused him.

"It was still a lecture." He said, hardening his grip on Hyun-woo’s shoulder, and Hyun-woo slightly flinched.

He was in pain, but he wouldn’t say it.

"You’re not even one of us, so why do you think you can say whatever you want? I might be able to tolerate the others because of the treaty, but for a worker like you who is under our feet, I can crush you the mont your words slip. I don’t care if you’re the best doctor or whatnot. If you get on my nerves, it’s over for you."

And that was most certainly not a bluff. Seo-Jun was serious.

So, I don’t know if he was standing up for because he was mad that Hyun-woo was treating like trash, whereas the others wouldn’t even let him do such a thing, or if he just didn’t like soone weaker and of lower status than him ssing with his ’thing’.

Hm, both sounded like a good reason to make him go mad with rage.

Seo-Jun glanced at , his red eyes glowing in anger, and then he scoffed, spitting out what seed to be hateful words.

"Look at you. You don’t cry even when I hurt you, but you’re crying because this Doctor said so few things to you?"

But those words didn’t sound hateful to at all.

"If you’re going to raise your head in my presence and lower your head in the presence of soone like this, then I believe I’ve seen enough to know what kind of person you are." He said, and I bit my lip.

He was right. He was absolutely right.

How could I have so much confidence in the face of my masters but lower my head in distress when facing Hyun-woo, who had no say in my life whatsoever?

I raised my head, glaring with my puffy and teary eyes, and said,

"It’s because I didn’t expect it."

"What?" Seo-Jun looked at , confused.

"I didn’t expect he would be so hateful with his words. You know, when I expect soone to hurt , knowing they will, I don’t feel hurt when they do hurt . But when soone I didn’t expect to hurt actually does..." I looked at Hyun-woo, my lips quivering and my eyes tearing up. "It hurts very much. It’s to the point I feel pathetic about it."

Hyun-woo looked at with those lazy eyes of his, and for a mont, I saw a hint of remorse, but it was only for that mont when he said,

"The truth hurts quite a lot."

Haa, this man was mocking . I wished I could hit him once. Just once. Let hit that handso, lazy face of his.

Seo-Jun was even more pissed and I began rooting for him to actually hit the guy. Hit him so he can co back to his senses, please.

"You..."

"I’m not a saint." Hyun-woo said, grabbing Seo-Jun’s hand. "And I apologize if I have been rude to you, master, but my words don’t exactly have a filter."

Obviously. You’re even saying whatever you want in front of Seo-Jun, who could beat you up to bits if he wanted to.

"But..." He looked at , bowed his head, and said, "I did not intend to make you cry."

I paused. What did he say?

"I will apologize and hope that you forgive ."

Wait, he was apologizing?

I was certain he said those harsh words because he was mad at for sothing I don’t know, or he was just taking out his frustration on for no reason.

So, why was he apologizing?

"I’m sorry, Hwang Jo-Pil." He said, and I was taken aback.

Seriously, I don’t know what to think anymore. I don’t know if my thoughts were processing this rightly or if I had been overthinking it from the start.

Just... What was his aim from the start?

"Tch." That was Seo-Jun with his annoyed gaze. He looked like he would hit Hyun-woo, but he didn’t, leaving him with simply a warning. "You should’ve said that from the beginning and known your place. Even if Hwang Jo-Pil is our slave, to you, he’s soone of higher status because he belongs to us."

Oh my, oh my, oh my. What was this? His words did not sound disgusting or perverted as he spoke about .

Was this the first ti? It most certainly was.

He was defending so seriously that he felt like a completely different person. It must be because he didn’t like a subordinate looking down on , his property. I feel so touched all of a sudden.

Okay, so after this, his affection point with is current minus seventy (-70). He still has a long way to go, but this is a start. After all, it used to be a minus hundred. He doesn’t know it, but he had a debt with regarding his affection point.

"I understand." Cha Hyun-woo said, and Seo-Jun walked away.

And as if nothing had happened, he picked out the dicine he was intending to give and said,

"It’s a revitalization dicine. It’ll help you gain stamina and endurance." He said, and I looked at the dicine. "It’ll also improve your physical and ntal well being so don’t forget to take it."

Wait, this wasn’t what I thought it was, right?

Did he give this dicine because... He was worried about ?

I looked at him, shocked. No way. This lazy, irritated character was worried about ? How was that possible?

And given he had pulled sothing like that earlier. I just couldn’t imagine it.
