"You’re insufferable, old man." Min-Cheol said, marching towards Seo-Jun, who was still held to the shelf by Ki-hoon. "I knew you could never change, but you dare to harm Hyung? What exactly is the color of your heart?"
Ooh, I know. It’s black. His heart was black beyond reason.
Jin-Yeok walked over to and looked at my arm. It had dark red fingerprints and was also swollen.
Looking at it, he frowned heavily and clicked his tongue.
"How could you do this to Jo-Pil’s fragile body?" He asked. "Don’t you have a conscience?"
"Don’t you have a conscience when you continuously spill blood with those hands of yours and still use it to touch the hands of the person you keep claiming to be so precious?" Seo-Jun retorted and looked at , expecting a reaction, but to his disappointnt, I didn’t react.
News flash, there was no secret between us. At least, no major secrets.
"What the hell?!" He clicked his tongue. "That’s boring."
"I really want to hit you right now." Ki-hoon said. "But I’m holding back because of the treaty."
"Should we just rip up that treaty?" Min-Cheol asked, a murderous glare in his eyes, and once again, I was seeing another side of my innocent Min-Cheol who only ever liked to show his smiles and child-like character.
"No, please." I intervened. It would be bad news if they broke that treaty, and each of them started acting on their feelings.
"Stay still, Jo-Pil." Jin-Yeok said as he applied ointnt, which he happened to carry in his pocket, on my bruise. He probably wanted to apply it on my knuckle if I complained about it hurting later.
"I know what Master Sun did was wrong, but I..." I began my white lotus act. "If I think of how I suddenly attacked him, I think this was a little pricey to pay. I had been presumptuous and attacked my master. This little..." I shook my head. "This is nothing."
"Jo-Pil." Jin-Yeok called softly and hugged , but under that present, I grinned.
Seo-Jun was the only one who saw the grin on my lips, and he was baffled. What? Did he think he was the only one who could play tricks? I was also a trickster myself.
He wanted us to play with our brains? He was welco to try. He should know he isn’t the only one who’s capable of reading four books a day.
"So pretentious." Seo-Jun exclaid, and my eyes glazed. Just shut up, the world is pretentious. I hate to admit it, but I’m saving your skin here.
"Shut up!" Min-Cheol yelled at him, and I felt so proud, my insides shining in delight. My baby wouldn’t let down. Then, he turned to and said, "Hyung, you shouldn’t cover for this man. He’s a mad man and he’s dangerous. He shouldn’t even be around ."
Where were those thoughts when you all decided to buy ? I know things are different now, but think. Just think. If you hadn’t co to like the way you do now, wouldn’t you be doing the sa thing as hurting and disregarding my feelings?
Knowing that, I can’t help but feel they had no right to berate him like that.
Seo-Jun was quite the hard tack, but if I could get him on my side and maybe erase his sadistic desire a bit, then he would be no different from you guys.
So, let’s give him a chance. I hate him, yes, but the others were also irredeemable characters from the start, but not as bad as he was.
After I get back to Seo-Jun to my heart’s content, I can start planning on how to win him over. You know, like that classic, ’How to get my husband on my side?’This operation would be titled, ’How to get my sadistic master on my side?’
I think that has quite a nice ring to it. Let’s go with that.
"Haa," Seo-Jun sighed and then held Ki-hoon’s hand. "Hey, let go." He said with dangerously glazed eyes, but Ki-hoon wasn’t scared.
He decided to show him that he was as dangerous as him and glared back.
"This is getting boring. You’re not going to hit anyway, so just let go." He said and glanced at the books on the floor. "I have better things to do than wait in your grasp."
"You have to apologize to Jo-Pil first." Ki-hoon said, and his eyebrows tilted up.
"What did you say?"
"You have to apologize." Ki-hoon confidently repeated it, causing Seo-Jun to scoff.
He jamd his palm to his face and laughed, sliding his fingers back through his hair and showing the expression of an excited madman.
"This is getting so interesting that I’m starting to wonder if so sort of magic spell was cast on you lots." He said. "You trust and care for the slave you bought unconditionally that it makes wonder if you planned this from the start." He laughed. "I’m very sure you, Ki-hoon, bought Hwang Jo-Pil with the primary reason of settling a beef. But I co here and find you fawning over him. Where’s the beef?" He asked, and I frowned.
He was up to no good again.
"It was a misunderstanding." Ki-hoon simply said.
"Oh yeah? Then what about you?" He turned to Jin-Yeok. "I’m pretty sure you ca here to simply knock him up, so you can live happily ever after with that little girlfriend of yours. But here I find out your girlfriend has gone ’missing’ and you’ve not even touched the little bunny. How co? What changed everything?"
Jin-Yeok could not answer that question and simply glared at Seo-Jun.
Gosh, the atmosphere was becoming so intense because Seo-Jun was trying to remind everyone of their reasons for buying .
"And you," he turned to Min-Cheol. "You sick kid that likes to put up an innocent act but has a very dark and hideous side. What happened to wanting to play with your new ’toy’ and see how long it will last?" He asked, using the exact words Min-Cheol had used at that ti. "Look at you now. You’re playing house. Was this what you wanted to do from the start?"
His words got them all thinking deeply and angrily. They knew how they started out. They didn’t need him to remind them, and that was why they felt even more infuriated... Knowing their intentions were no different from his from the beginning.
"Don’t you see? Everything’s completely wrong with this setting. It’s just not right." He claid and turned to . "Hwang Jo-Pil, don’t think you’re so hot shit. You are no different from a rag we all wanted to use and throw away when we were done."
"Hey!" Ki-hoon slamd his back to the shelf once more, falling more books.
We should really take this sowhere else.
"Haa," I sighed. "So what?" I asked, contrary to what Seo-Jun thought I would say.
If he thought I would feel bad and know my place, then he was mistaken. I’ve lived this life more horribly than he could imagine, so I don’t have anything to feel bad about.
If anything, he was the one who needed to feel bad for being such a stuck-up bastard.
"I know what I was bought for. And I know I have only one use, but why should I care about that when my masters are so good to ? They care for , look after , and show affection. Even if this was all an act to get to depend on them, I wouldn’t care because I’ve already had my fair share of thrill and enjoynt. At least, this is way better than having to run for the rest of my life for a debt from loans I never took."
