I couldn’t believe it. To think this mad man was the owner of this wonderful place. I was beyond shocked that I had forgotten what to say and needed to find my words.

"You’re the owner of this library?" I asked, my words barely making it out of my mouth audibly, and he twisted his eyebrows, twisted his lips, and placed his hands on his hips.

"Yeah, what about it?" He asked, and I threw my face away.

Gosh, it just wasn’t done. Why? Why the hell was this guy the owner?

"You’re... A reader." I muttered softly, but he was able to hear every bit of it.

My shock and disbelief, he could not understand, and he would not bother to understand because he had other business with .

"Hey, you little shit, I don’t know what you’ve been scheming while I wasn’t around but let tell you this, those sches won’t work on ." He said, grabbing my arm in an instant. It was a speed I couldn’t evade even if I wanted to.

I flinched as his grip tightened, and it kept getting tighter as if he was planning to break my bones.

He was hurting and intentionally at that.

"What?" He looked at with a smug. "Can’t take it? They said you were scared of pain, but you’re not even crying at this point. Do I have to break your hand first before you feel the need to surrender?"

I felt anxious. This man was dangerous and beyond my ability to handle. But as much as it hurt... As much as his grip on my hand made squirm in pain, I didn’t want to say it.

I sealed my lips, stubbornly refusing to admit defeat. I don’t believe he would try sothing that reckless when he knows the other masters support .

Hell, I hoped. Because I knew this guy was too unpredictable to rely on.

"Where are your lovely masters now, huh? Nowhere. You’re now in my grasp." Seo-Jun said, his gaze mocking , and I bit my lip, in an attempt to hold my painful groan better. "You humiliated in front of them and dared to bare your fangs continuously at . And in the end, you walk right into my territory. I will make sure to teach you a lesson."

Gosh, this was such bad timing. I didn’t take into account that this library might belong to Seo-Jun, so I carelessly and fearlessly ca here. If I had known I’d run into him here, I would’ve just stayed in my room and waited till I had the company of at least one master to co here.

But now’s not the ti to feel regretful. I had to think of sothing, if not he was going to hit or worse, rip my clothes off and do all sorts of vile things. He was already bruising my hand, and it hurt so much.

"What? Aren’t you going to say anything?" He asked, his grip tightening more than before. How did he still have much more force to enact? It hurt. "Where’s that clever tongue you wagged during breakfast? I’d like to see what tricks you play now that you’re on your own you dumb shit."

My eyebrows were knitted together in pain, and I felt disturbed. The only way now was to...

"I was right." I said, and he looked at , puzzled. I raised my gaze and looked at him with my face barely handling the pain as I smiled roughly. "You’re a good person, master Sun. I don’t believe... Ugh... A bad person would be a lover of books."

My words took Seo-Jun by surprise.

"What did you say?" He asked, and I felt maybe my words had worked out a miracle sohow.

"This library... It’s a wonderful place filled with so many books. If you..." I squinted, feeling pained. "...were the one who built this place and filled it with these books then... You’re definitely a good person. No one can change my mind about it."

Indeed, I never thought a bad guy could own such a magnificent library, but that ntality died when I realized even grand schers kept libraries.

They were mostly intelligent, evil schers who, of course, had a hobby of browsing through books.

There was no precedent for who could read books and who could build libraries, but... I wanted to survive. I wanted to get past this man, no matter what I had to do. Even if I had to lie.

Of course, there was no guarantee that I would be able to get away from him or that he would even let go of my arm, he was hurting, but despite that, despite the pain, I looked him in the eye, showing my ’sincerity’.

It would be hard work to ta this fourth master, but I was confident that I would be able to succeed one day.

"So, you’re saying I’m not a bad guy because I like books." Seo-Jun said, his voice more ta and laxed than before. And it got thinking, ’Did I succeed?’

Seo-Jun had his eyes on . That hatred seed to have faded quite a bit. He was skeptical of and suspicious of my motives, but he wasn’t being so violent anymore.

He even let go of my arm, and I rubbed my bruised and trembling arm.

"If you say sothing like that," he said, drawing his face closer to mine, and my breath got caught for a mont.

His face was too close.

"...did you think I would let you go?" He asked, and I averted my eyes for a second, gulping down the uneasiness in my chest and then back at him.

His red devilish eyes, dangerously on , were looking for answers. At that point... I knew, no. I believed that... He was an idiot.

"No," I answered. "I don’t know what you would do to after I said that, but I was being honest." Ti to work my magic of words. "I said it before at the dining table that you weren’t a bad guy, and I’m saying it again now after I have gotten her another confirmation. Master... You are not a bad guy."

Okay, so let’s see how this plays. Will he decide to believe and go ’soft’ on , or will my words infuriate him more? I’d like to choose the forr, boohoo, my arm hurts a lot. I can’t take another brute force from him.

Maybe I should pass on Ki-hoon’s title to him. Seo-Jun, from here henceforth, you shall be the Brute madman. Wow, that has such a ring to it. Let’s go with that.
