(Author's note: 2022.6.18: This preface was written on 2022.3.11, and after so ti, the male lead was confird to be Yu Luobai. You can skip this chapter or take a look.)

Ah, the familiar recipe and familiar process - this is the second ti I'm writing this preface.

Hello ladies, I am the author Shen Piaopiao (~ ̄▽ ̄~)~

First of all, let introduce myself. I'm not actually a professional novelist; so of my older fans may have known from my first book, 'The Legitimate Daughter'.

My journey into writing novels was purely by chance. One day, I read a ti-travel romance novel set in ancient tis, and that indulgent story got hooked. That night, as I lay in bed, a thought suddenly occurred to : what kind of story would it be if the female lead failed to achieve her revenge even after being reborn?

That's how 'The Legitimate Daughter Wants to Be a Slacker After Rebirth' ca into being, marking my transition from a reader to a 28th-tier obscure online writer.

Since I have a day job that requires to work even on weekends, being able to maintain a pace of one chapter per day is already my best effort.

Habits are truly terrifying. When I was nearing the end of my first book, my mind was already getting restless, and I decided to write a second book.

Initially, I didn't take it too seriously. After writing 'The Legitimate Daughter' for half a year, I had simply gotten used to writing every night.

So this book, 'The Supporting Female Lead', was written rather casually by .

I don't use outlines for my writing; I only need a central the, and I make up the rest as I go along.

The initial inspiration for 'The Supporting Female Lead' was the idea of the supporting female character clinging tightly to the main female lead's thigh. That was the central the of this book.

With that as the starting point, I wrote about everything that happened, so even as the author, I didn't really understand where the later plot would go.

It seems like the male lead and I have so sort of "incompatible destiny".

For my first book, eighty percent of the comnts demanded that I change the male lead.

Similarly, for this second book, eighty percent of the comnts also demanded that I change the male lead.

As for the currently popular character nad Yu Luobai, he was actually just soone I wrote about casually when I was at a loss for words.

Even his na wasn't given much thought; I just ca up with it randomly since he was initially just ant to be an extra character who appeared to buy sothing (a modest path) and give money to the female lead to drive the plot forward.

But fate works in mysterious ways. As the story progressed, I sohow ended up deviating more and more, and Yu Luobai unexpectedly beca the second male lead in this book.

The readers have also started quietly shipping this couple, and the author is also on board, haha.

As you all know, I'm an active author who responds to almost every comnt when I have ti, and I've read your "bloody books" (comnts demanding changes).

Regarding the suggestion that many of you want Yu Luobai to be the male lead, I'll give you a response today.

First: This book has only reached 170,000 words, and the frawork isn't mature enough yet.

Second: Since I write casually, I don't know how the later developnt will unfold.

Third: The original male lead was ant to be Pei Doctor, with an antagonistic role, but he hasn't had many opportunities to appear, so his presence is limited.

I know everyone likes Yu Luobai, but I can't give a definite answer because during my first book, I promised to change the male lead for the readers, but it ended up being a ss later on.

And an author's thoughts tend to change frequently. To avoid a repeat of the past, let's not argue about this for now.

I'll just keep writing, and from now on, the male lead is undecided. You can treat it like opening a blind box - whoever ends up being the final lead, that's who it is. It all depends on my mood later on, hahaha.

Those of you who like Yu Luobai still have a chance, and the sa goes for Pei Doctor.

Just enjoy reading the book and ship whichever couple you like. If there's anything, we'll discuss it later (?>◇)

Love you all~
