Transmigration: The Main Character is Not Becoming the Cannon Fodder! Chapter 3: Interstellar Young Lady (Part 2)
Li Shuning glanced at the woman beside her, Li Xin. What role was this person playing? It was she who led her out today.
The original owner trusted Li Xin very much because Li Xin was essentially a shadow arranged by her father to stay by her side; Li Xin had to do anything for Li Shuning.
Li Shuning had been living a secluded life for years; no one knew her details. But today, by chance, she snuck out with Li Xin and ran into Nangong Yu and his group. They discovered how weak she was. Li Xin even pretended to speak for her, yet kept giving Nangong Yu flirtatious glances. How naïve the original owner was.
However, why exactly did the original owner die? This needs thorough investigation; it couldn’t be simply due to a shock.
Li Shuning directly touched the Light Computer on her wrist, pressed a few buttons, and a ssage was sent out. It wouldn’t be long before soone ca for her.
Nangong Yu saw Li Shuning about to leave and couldn’t help but step forward, trying to grab her. Li Shuning sneered. The next mont, a blood streak appeared on the back of Nangong Yu’s hand.
After all, Nangong Yu was only a sixteen-year-old boy. When the sudden good news ca and he beca Li Shuning’s fiancé, he had gained nurous benefits over the years due to this status. Yet, their previous plan seed to be going off track, making him a bit scared.
Li Xin was also worried at this mont, but rembering the Marshal wasn’t on this planet cald her down. This incident wasn’t sothing she could pull off by herself. The role she played was quite minor; even if sothing went wrong, she definitely wouldn’t be blad.
Thinking of this, she didn’t follow. It was better for Li Shuning to leave alone. If she didn’t die just now, what awaits her is only a dead end.
Li Shuning left the crowd and, once out of sight, entered a mall, found a place with a quick exit but where she could observe the outside, and turned off the Light Computer.
With years of workplace experience and the unique nature of her occupation, she had seen quite a lot of things. Many aspects of this incident felt eerie, so she had to be extra cautious.
After about ten minutes, Li Shuning saw several floating smart cars flying over the square outside.
But the expression on Li Shuning’s face beca solemn. She noticed that the leader wasn’t the old butler Li Junming but a man from the Li Family’s collateral line.
Though Li Junming was just a butler, he was more trustworthy than those constantly causing trouble in private from the collateral lines.
Li Shuning picked up a hat she bought earlier in the mall, put it on, quickly crossed a deserted passageway in the mall, and headed towards another floating building nearby.
That was Nadis Planet’s only floating building, with a unique status on this planet. Even Marshal Li was secretive about it. The imnse spiritual power gave her a strong sense of crisis.
Li Shuning kept walking but sensed that quite a few people were closing in aggressively.
With such a formation, Li Shuning felt panicked. Coupled with the previous death of Li Shuning, she suspected these people weren’t here to escort her ho but to end her life. Despite being cautious, she hadn’t foreseen many things.
While still so distance from the floating building, Li Shuning noticed soone was shooting at her with a laser gun.
These people were incredibly bold to dare to assassinate her openly.
No, sothing was wrong. Before she knew it, the surroundings were deserted.
Li Shuning’s spiritual power activated, forming an invisible shield around her. It seed instinctive. As soon as she willed it, it spontaneously appeared. Without waiting for the shield to break, she quickly ran toward the floating building.
If she could get in there, perhaps those people would have so scruples?
The floating building was suspended in mid-air, but there was a transparent staircase between the ground and the building. Li Shuning quickly ran up.
By this ti, the shield was already wavering, and Li Shuning was struggling to maintain it.
After all, she’d just taken over this body, and her spiritual power had only recently been liberated.
Without the shield, she’d face nothing but a dead end.
A person’s potential is limitless. Though initially faltering due to the exhausting escape and the body’s weakness, she managed to speed up again, entering the floating building’s door.
The pursuers stopped in their tracks. The leader pondered for a mont but still led the group to chase.
This place was very mysterious, but one thing was certain: the first floor was uninhabited, and outsiders couldn’t access the internal elevator of this floating building.
Once inside, Li Shuning saw the pursuers daring to enter and regretted her actions. Knowing the situation was weird, she shouldn’t have operated this way. She shouldn’t have risked danger trying to probe.
However, now that the enemy had moved, staying with others wouldn’t ensure safety.
She knew a bit about the floating building’s situation; the first floor was empty, and she had no retreat.
But just then, two people suddenly appeared out of nowhere on what was an empty first floor.
An old man and a young man. They didn’t even glance at Li Shuning as if she didn’t exist.
The old man did sothing, and a seam in the wall opened up, revealing an elevator as they walked in.
Seeing the pursuers at the entrance, in her haste, Li Shuning dashed into the elevator just as the doors were closing.
As Li Shuning rushed in, the elevator door shut, and the wall outside returned to normal.
Li Shuning breathed a sigh of relief, only to see the old man surprised at her, while the man beside him exuded a cold aura with an indifferent gaze.
Li Shuning awkwardly said, "I’m sorry to disturb you. There’s a situation at ho where I’m being pursued, forcing to flee here in desperation. If I go out, I’ll be shot by those people. Please make an exception. Once I contact my family, I’ll leave imdiately. I’m truly sorry, please." Li Shuning brought her hands together and bowed to the two, her expression sincere.
Li Shuning was really nervous. If they threw her out, she would be dood.
She didn’t want to die in this unknown world.
Yun Zimo glanced at Li Shuning. Though the woman was beautiful, she was in a state of disarray. Yet, her eyes were clear. Having lived in this world for over twenty years, he was familiar with it, but this woman’s behavior and tone were odd, out of place here, yet evoking a sense of familiarity. Considering so possibilities, he kept silent and didn’t plan to expel her.
Since Yun Zimo stayed quiet, the old man beside him said nothing either.
The pursuers were dumbfounded; they hadn’t expected people inside the floating building as well as the coincidence of the young lady entering the elevator.
Damn it, deviated from the plan.
On this planet, if the young lady were elsewhere, they might still have the chance to take the building down directly. But here, they wouldn’t dare; even under the Marshal’s guise, they still wouldn’t dare.
