Da Qiangtou was startled too. He had been on guard against Xia Ke the whole ti, afraid that this kid might make a move. But clearly he hadn’t seen Xia Ke move at all, so how did the Butler get hit in the mouth?
The other thugs were the sa way, all raising their clubs in unison and swinging at Xia Ke.
However, so of the smarter thugs were glancing around, evidently thinking that Xia Ke didn’t have that much power and were looking for He Lianyu.
"You, you, is that little punk with you too? Co out! If you don’t co out soon... Ow! My mouth!"
Da Qiangtou covered his own mouth too; clearly his mouth had been sneak-attacked.
"Hit him, hit!"
Before he could finish talking, Da Qiangtou suddenly dropped to his knees with a thud, both knees hitting the ground with a heavy thudding sound, followed by a howl.
Clearly, Da Qiangtou’s kneecap shattered because of the sudden fall to the ground.
Everything that was happening left everyone stunned. The Butler had just threatened Xia Ke, but his mouth got bloodied, and Da Qiangtou had just ordered to start hitting, but he was already kneeling on the ground.
It was clear that the hidden master was here to back up that stinky kid!
The thugs were scared. They weren’t afraid of facing an enemy head-on; they were afraid of being in the light while the enemy was in the dark, unsure if they might be the next sneak-attacked ones.
Xia Ke also realized the peculiarity of the situation and knew without asking that this was obviously He Lianyu’s doing.
She smirked. This guy wasn’t bad at all; he was pretty reliable in crucial monts, at least he didn’t leave her behind.
But even if he hadn’t co, it wouldn’t matter; she had her ways to deal with these goons herself.
However, since she had an ally, she wouldn’t need to exert herself; she’d just let He Lianyu handle it.
"What are you all standing around for? Capture that punk! You guys, co and surround quickly!"
Da Qiangtou wasn’t stupid; naturally, he knew He Lianyu would undoubtedly take him as a primary target, so he quickly called his nearby underlings to surround him without leaving any gaps.
The Butler was also terrified and squeezed into the gap after crawling on the ground.

Da Qiangtou, emboldened by being surrounded by his n, once more issued orders with more arrogance.
The thugs imdiately rushed toward Xia Ke, and so went to unleash the leashed wolfdogs and opened the dog cage doors.
Da Qiangtou laughed heartily, "Haha, let’s see who you’re going to save! Now, this punk and those beggars are about to die, co out and save them, save them, hahaha!"
The barking, the children’s cries and shouts, Da Qiangtou’s laughter all mixed together, making Xia Ke feel like her head was in chaos.
Yet she remained clear-headed, grabbing the club from a thug’s hand and started fighting the other thugs, shouting toward the seemingly hidden He Lianyu, "Don’t worry about ! Save them first!"
She could still hold out for a while, but the children couldn’t. Those two dogs were bigger than the biggest child in the cage; if they pounced, would these children remain intact?
"Did you hear? Save the children first!"
Seeing the cage door already open, yet He Lianyu hadn’t appeared, Xia Ke was so anxious her eyes reddened, shouting once more.
With two whooshes, two Copper Coins flew directly onto the legs of the two wolfdogs.
Yowls of pain erupted from the wolfdogs, who imdiately curled their legs and lay on the ground, not daring to move.
The children in the cage were saved, and Xia Ke’s heart finally settled, focusing entirely on dealing with the thugs in front of her.
However, He Lianyu clearly didn’t intend to let her face them alone; a dark shadow flashed by, and He Lianyu’s agile figure flew past, causing those surrounding Xia Ke to fall one by one.

The little beggars in the cage all rushed out and gathered around Xia Ke, one of the slightly older little girls even grabbed Xia Ke’s other hand, tears streaming down her face without any intention of letting go.

Xia Ke quickly pulled her arm away, but the little girl didn’t let go, making Xia Ke feel embarrassed, so she had to first let go of He Lianyu’s hand.
It was at this mont that He Lianyu realized he was actually holding the girl’s hand!

A cold laugh echoed from the doorway. He Lianyu and Xia Ke turned their heads instantly and saw a man tied up stumbling inside.
Da Qiangtou gasped, exclaiming, "Brother Hao?!"
Xia Ke squinted. So this guy is the so-called Brother Hao, huh? He’s really sothing!
Isn’t he? Brother Hao’s face had been beaten to a pulp, both of his eyes surrounded by black rings like a panda. His arms were tied behind his back, and he had a limp in one leg, looking pathetic.
He Lianyu couldn’t help but joke, "This Brother Hao is indeed tougher, more beaten up than you!"
Xia Ke chuckled at that. So, He Lianyu could be quite humorous!
"Da Qiangtou, is this your support, Brother Hao? That’s perfect; I’ve brought him to you!"
Ah Jin’s voice followed. Xia Ke was stunned for a mont, then ran over excitedly: "Big brother!"
Ah Jin gave her an annoyed glance, and Xia Ke imdiately stuck her tongue out, lowering her head.
"You little sister! Always getting your brother into trouble! Because of you, we had to get rid of this giant tumor in the Capital ahead of ti! Oh man, I didn’t even get a good nap, I’m so tired and sleepy!"
Ah Yin also stepped in from the doorway, imdiately poking Xia Ke’s forehead and grumbling. Compared to the older brother, this elder brother matched Xia Ke’s temperant the most; the two were as close as thieves.
Seeing the Xia siblings reunite so affectionately bewildered the people in the house. What was going on? Why were they calling Xia Ke ’little sister’?
Ah Jin and Ah Yin were well-known figures in the Capital, so even without introduction, Da Qiangtou could recognize them. Now they were calling this little beggar ’little sister.’ A thought imdiately popped into his mind.
And he was terrified by that thought!

Da Qiangtou collapsed back on the ground in defeat, realizing all his hopes were dashed.
