The young ladies at the Idle Tea House were mostly newly hired by Lin Yuan, but a large portion of the chefs at Dong Tian were old hands who used to work at Yi Ran Residence.

Today’s gathering brought together this bunch of big guys, who surprisingly grew even more sentintal than the young ladies chattering away in the room next door.

"Tsk tsk, what fine wine! Who would’ve thought, back when we were just a shabby little tea house, that we’d have a day like today? Haha, what a thrill!"

The speaker was one of the forr head chefs of Yi Ran Residence. Ever since working at Dong Tian under Lin Yuan, his outlook on life had undergone an incredible transformation.

From living a dull, aimless life before, he was now so busy he could hardly feel his feet touch the ground. Though exhausting, it was fulfilling.

Nowadays, he didn’t even need to introduce himself when he went out; everyone knew he worked at Dong Tian, the establishnt run by Princess Pingxi.

This sense of happiness and accomplishnt was sothing that no re two taels of silver could ever buy!

Another chef, also brimming with joy, raised his cup and agreed with a nod, "Old Cheng is absolutely right. You wouldn’t believe it, but I used to be too ashad to even go ho! Sure, the Young Master paid us generously, but taking money for doing nothing day after day—honestly, I couldn’t bear the look of it on my face! But now? Even if I stink of exhaustion every day, living this way feels so much more grounded than before!"

"Exactly, exactly!"

The two master chefs instantly had the entire room nodding in agreent. Everyone began sharing their own transformations, and even the young helpers chid in with their stories. Thanks to the teaching of the master chefs, they had honed their skills and were more eager than ever to remain at Dong Tian, aspiring to beco master chefs themselves one day.

"If you ask , the biggest highlight of staying at Dong Tian has got to be the recipe books the boss gifts us every now and then!"

Gao Xuan chuckled, his face lighting up with the satisfaction and excitent of learning new recipes.

As soon as he ntioned it, the other chefs who had been silent all chid in to agree.

Honestly, they’d worked in restaurants for so many years, but it was the first ti they’d ever t an owner like Lin Yuan!

Not only could she cook herself, but she frequently shared her newly crafted specialty dishes with the kitchen staff for them all to explore and learn together.

If it were any other restaurant, you’d be lucky if the boss didn’t steal your recipes. Let alone teaching you their own secret techniques—who’d even dream of that?

And yet, Lin Yuan never ceased to amaze them. Every recipe she brought out was so unique that even the Drunken Immortal Tower hadn’t heard of them!

Good stuff like that—anyone else would keep it under lock and key as a family treasure. Letting others see it? You’d have to be a fool!

Just as the group of chefs was discussing the new recipes, Lin Yuan arrived with her wine cup to toast them. Hearing their conversation, she burst into laughter and said cheerfully, "Your suggestions are excellent, everyone. So, how about this? Starting next year, I won’t give you any more recipes. If I co up with one, I’ll just keep it to myself, how about that?"

Lin Yuan’s sudden remark caught them all off guard. When they processed her words, they were even more shocked. But seeing the mischievous smile on her face, they quickly realized—ah, this girl was just joking with them!

"Oh no, that won’t do, Boss! You’re the smartest of us all. The recipes you whip up can’t be found anywhere else. Without them, we’d lose our lifeline of fresh ideas!"

Gao Xuan, always the witty one, took the opportunity to flatter Lin Yuan while trying to show off his literary flair. But the words seed to escape him as he stamred, "What’s that phrase again? The one the boss always says? Sothing about the source of... uh... fresh water?"

A quick-witted young man imdiately raised his voice to cover for him, reciting the verse with enthusiasm: "The stream remains clear because it’s fed by living waters at the source! Gao Ge, you must’ve had too much to drink. Your brain’s not working!"

"Exactly, Gao Ge, you’ve had several cups already. Boss, you’d better take his cup away—he’s going to drink all our wine!"

The young helpers, who worked in the dining hall on the first floor, were most familiar with Gao Xuan. Since Dong Tian’s business was usually so busy, they hardly ever had the chance to joke around. Tonight, finally getting a mont to relax, they took turns poking fun at Gao Xuan.

Gao Xuan, of course, wasn’t actually drunk, though his cheeks had grown a bit flushed. Lin Yuan took the large wine jar he’d just opened and moved it aside, arching an eyebrow, "Gao Xuan, you live out in the suburbs. If you don’t want to end up sleeping against a wall tonight, you’d better slow down!"
