Chapter 1395: 214, Little Child (Update 11)

In the courtyard, groups of n were gathered in conversation, and Lin Yuan did not recognize many of them. However, hearing Liu Zhiguang ntion that these individuals were mostly Ru Yue’s elders, she addressed them all the way to the room as various uncles and elders.

She had thought the room would be a bit better, but upon reaching the doorway, Lin Yuan was even more startled. The room did indeed have fewer people, but why was it still so crowded?

It was because half of the room was filled with won, and the other half with children. The children were small, and at a glance seed few, but once everyone sat down, it was almost as crowded as outside!

Lin Yuan quietly pursed her lips, carefully searching until she spotted Lady Liu in a corner. Seeing her relative, Lin Yuan felt tears welling up in her eyes. Just as she was about to enter and find Lady Liu, she noticed that the room’s won were not just any won but included several stunning young ladies.

Lin Yuan abruptly halted, and Xia Zheng behind her was also startled, “What’s wrong? Weren’t we going to go in and see your uncle’s son? Why aren’t you moving?”

It was supposed to be a one-month celebration, but in fact, the baby was already a few days past a month old. Thus, Ru Yue had finished her confinent and could et with people, so there was no issue with her seeing n from outside the family.

Moreover, Lin Yuan knew that Xia Zheng had been entrusted by Lao Fan to deliver a small gift, so failing to see the child could pose a problem.

However, with so many young ladies inside, was it really appropriate for him to enter?

Recalling the won who chased after the carriage simply because of Xia Zheng’s profile, Lin Yuan began to have doubts.

Just then, Lady Liu inside the room spotted Lin Yuan, her eyes brightening. She quickly sent Xiao Yongyan, who was sitting obediently eating snacks by her side, outside.

The little guy was small, and with so many children running around the room, he wasn’t much noticed and managed to get to the door quite smoothly.

“Big sister, Mother said not to let Brother Xia enter the room.”

Lin Yuan raised an eyebrow; it seed Lady Liu had the sa thought as Lin Yuan.

Xia Zheng blinked, peering through the door crack cautiously and then felt a blockage in his heart. Why were there only won?

He waved his hands repeatedly and turned away to look for Liu Zhiguang, “I won’t go. You guys go ahead, I need to help my cousin entertain the guests. Oh, and don’t forget to give the little one the gift!”

Aside from Xiao Yongyan, Xia Zheng had never seen such a small child. However, after Xiao Yongyan, he particularly liked to call newborns “little things,” because they were just so tiny.

Seeing Xia Zheng’s self-awareness, Lin Yuan was very relieved and gladly took the brocade box, following Xiao Yongyan cheerfully into the room.

With no sight of Xia Zheng, Lady Liu was relieved.

Hai Tang and several other won, who were serving drinks and snacks, saw Lin Yuan and politely bowed. This gesture made the won in the room notice Lin Yuan, and they couldn’t help but take a few more glances.

Hmm, she was indeed quite delicate, but as for being beautiful, that was still debatable.

“Your aunt-in-law is in the room; go in and see,” Lady Liu smiled at Lin Yuan, nodding and pointing to the room on the east side.

Lin Yuan got the hint and pushed open the door to enter.

The room she had just left had so of the village neighbors and so distant relatives of Jeng Ruyue, whereas the won sitting in this room were her true maternal family.

Although Lin Yuan had only t Jeng Ruyue’s mother a few tis, she had a very good impression of this gentle woman. Sitting by the bed were also Jeng Ruyue’s aunts, and at a glance, they all seed very familiar.

Of course, there were children too, not just Lin Wei and Xiao Linshuang, but also three other little girls about Lin Wei’s age. They were all sitting quietly inside the heated brick bed, and they were all staying very far from the newborn, afraid of accidentally touching him.

“Big sister!” Xiao Linshuang and Lin Wei called out to her happily.

Seeing Lin Yuan, Jeng Ruyue and Lady Fan were very happy, quickly waving her over to sit on the heated brick bed. A woman, who seed to be Jeng Ruyue’s aunt, keenly made room for her.

Being offered a seat by an elder, Lin Yuan felt uncomfortable and waved her hand to stop the woman from moving.

However, the aunt enthusiastically pulled her over and sat her down, saying with a laugh, “Good child, sit down quickly. We all heard from Yueyue, it’s thanks to you that she has this child. If you hadn’t recomnded such a good doctor, our Yueyue probably wouldn’t have had a child so soon nor recovered so quickly. Here, here, good child, you are not only Yueyue’s savior but also a benefactor to our whole family.”

The other won also nodded in agreent, showering Lin Yuan with thanks.

This made Lin Yuan feel sowhat embarrassed, and with their warm hospitality, she could only take off her shoes and, like Lin Wei and Xiao Linshuang, climb into the heated brick bed, leaving space along the edge for those won to sit.

Just as she sat down, Lin Wei and Xiao Linshuang giggled and nudged her arm, whispering, “Hehe, were you startled? We were also startled when we first ca in, greeted so warmly by so many people, I thought I was soone very important!”

Xiao Linshuang also lowered her voice and said, “That beautiful aunt even said I was Hua Tuo reincarnated, haha.”

While the three sisters whispered, the girls sitting there also sweetly nodded and called out “sister.” Lin Yuan chuckled dryly and nodded back, but she felt a bit overwheld by the adulation, knowing she probably would never et these people again, yet their warmth was almost too much to handle.

Jeng Ruyue, a woman with delicate thoughts, despite having a child, still knew how to listen carefully. Seeing Lin Yuan like this, she couldn’t help but smile and leaned over from where she was sitting in the heated brick bed to whisper a few words, “These are all my maternal nieces. Don’t worry; they are all family, not like those won outside.”

Those won outside? Lin Yuan was sowhat puzzled; perhaps Jeng Ruyue had guessed sothing?

As she wondered, the little creature lying on the heated brick bed suddenly let out a clear cry. Lin Yuan’s body shook; she had almost forgotten about him.

She quickly smiled and leaned in to look at the little creature. Being a full-month-old child now, he had grown a bit. Indeed, he was a little handso boy. Look at that little chin, sharp, so much like Jeng Ruyue.

“He is really handso, even more so than Little Uncle!” Lin Yuan couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.

The won who heard this all laughed, and Jeng Ruyue’s mother, not a woman of many words, just smiled.
