Chapter 373: Chapter 373: Mr. Jin is the Best, How Could He Possibly Lose?!

As night fell, the lobby of the Golden Sand lit up with layers of hazy lights.

Around, the hidden scents wrapped around the n and won pulled the atmosphere to another enchantingly extre point.

Occasionally, the tinkle of porcelain cups colliding sounded much like their smiles curling up at the corners—spicy and ironic.

Jiang Li lifted her skirt and, indifferent to the beautiful shadows, passed through them gracefully before sitting down at the far end of the bedtable.

Jin Siyue saw that his seat was taken, but could only helplessly lick his rear molars with the tip of his tongue.

Fine.

He wanted to see how long this Jiang could stay arrogant.

The jeering around them quieted down a bit, and Jiang Li, without changing her expression, gave the waiter a glance.

“Pour the drink.”

The waiter hesitated, seemingly startled by her still calm deanor at such a ti, before stepping forward to pry open a bottle and pour it into the tall glass in front of Jiang Li.

Jiang Li raised her hand to grasp the stem of the glass, elegantly bringing the drink to her lips and slowly swallowing it.

Jin Siyue’s eyebrows deeply furrowed, and he let out a disdainful snort.

“If you can’t drink, don’t pretend to be a lady here, move aside—let this young master show you how it’s done.”

He then picked up a bottle, pried it open directly against the edge of the table, and guzzled down half of it in large gulps.

This vintage foreign liquor was extrely aromatic. Initially, it tasted sweet and moderate, but the taste of alcohol would hit later, so the more fiercely you drink, the less drunk you feel.

On the contrary, soone like Jiang Li, who sipped slowly, would get drunk quickly.

Jin Siyue was very confident in his drinking ability, having once set a glorious record by drinking 15 bottles in a row.

A bottle was quickly emptied, and the surrounding crowd excitedly clapped their hands.

“Mr. Jin is aweso!”

“Mr. Jin is handso!”

“Is this girl up to it? What’s she doing still posing?”

Upstairs, a few people watched over by bodyguards could only anxiously stomp their feet in place.

Wen Jiaojiao glanced back at He Yun, “Can you contact soone? How soon can they arrive?”

He Yun’s expression was serious, “Don’t worry, I’m already making the call.”

Downstairs, Jiang Li was still tasting her drink slowly and thodically.

Jin Siyue had already downed two bottles, and she had only drunk half a bottle with her tall glass.

Though her movents were gentle and elegant, she continuously drank one glass after another.

Seeing her like this, Jin Siyue was truly tortured and could only start eating so snacks and slow down his pace.

Ti trickled by, and Jin Siyue had now seen five empty bottles on his side.

The initial rush of alcohol was now hitting him, and seeing Jiang Li across him, whose complexion hadn’t changed at all, he felt sowhat irritated.

“Miss Jiang, can’t you liven things up a bit? How long will it take if you keep drinking like this, glass by glass?!”

Jiang Li laughed lightly, the deep red liquid gently swaying just above her fingertips, casting a small, shifting shadow on her porcelain-like neck.

The girl’s face, intertwined in the alluring light, shed her usual gentle elegance and appeared sowhat eerily enchanting.

“Why the rush, Mr. Jin? Good wine should certainly be savored carefully.”

As she spoke, she looked up at the table, “Aren’t we evenly matched now?”

It was only then that Jin Siyue noticed that there were also five or six empty bottles in front of the girl.

And in her eyes remained a calm and gentle light, unspoiled by the alcohol.

Jin Siyue finally realized sothing was amiss.

Damn it, how does this guy drink like it’s water?!

But he still couldn’t accept defeat; after all, he was the Beijing Wine King. How could he possibly lose to a little girl who’s still wet behind the ears?

So, he waved for the waiter to open ten more bottles.

The “competition” entered an intense phase, and the crowd around them grew even more excited.

“Mr. Jin’s prestige hasn’t diminished at all. This is the twelfth bottle, right? He can still drink.”

“I feel like this girl isn’t too shabby either. She’s been drinking almost ten bottles at a leisurely pace without even trembling.”

“Mr. Jin isn’t going to lose, is he?”

“My Mr. Jin is the greatest, how could he possibly lose?!”

“….”

He couldn’t lose to Jiang Li!

Holding onto that belief, Jin Siyue shakily lifted the fifteenth bottle.

Even though he felt like his stomach was churning and he had the urge to vomit, he forcefully kept it down and guzzled the last bottle.

Across from him, the waiter’s hand was already numb from pouring, but Jiang Li beside him showed no reaction at all and continued to drink elegantly.

“How about it, Mr. Jin? You seem to be in bad shape. Shall we call it a night?”

“Impossible!” Jin Siyue wiped his mouth and straightened his collar before steadying himself on the edge of the table, “How could I possibly lose to you? Keep drinking! Don’t think about cheating!”

Jiang Li, with calm eyes, quietly watched him pop open another bottle and forcefully gulp it down.

She seed like a sovereign who had long regarded winning or losing as trivial, her indifference tinged with a hint of mockery as she watched the farce unfold.

Despite being a part of it, she appeared more like an eternal third party from the universe.

This unexpected turn had everyone on the third floor gaping in unison.

Qi Tianyu: “Holy shit, does Sister Li really have such an amazing tolerance? 1, 2, 3… she’s downed 16 bottles without even blushing?”

Jiang Yan had also been scared sober by now, rubbing his eyes in disbelief, “That can’t be my sister…”

There was a loud “clank” as the bottle in Jin Siyue’s hand hit the floor and shattered; his body shook so much he almost couldn’t stand.

The people nearby hurried over to support him, but Jin Siyue grabbed them by their collars and shoved them away.

“Get, get the hell away from , I’m not drunk, I don’t need anyone’s help!”

But despite his tough talk, his legs were so weak that he fell into a chair.

Jiang Li smoothed her skirt, personally opened the eighteenth bottle of wine, and then slowly twirled her glass as she walked up to Jin Siyue.

Her eyes, serene as water, narrowed slightly, and if observed closely, one could see the corners of her eyes were flushed red like the fine wine they held, intoxicating to the extre.

“Mr. Jin, it seems you can’t hold your liquor?”

“No, no way,” Jin Siyue struggled to gesture with his hand.

“Well, then let help you out.”

Jiang Li smiled, yet her hand gripped Jin Siyue’s chin fiercely, pouring all the wine from the glass down his throat.

Back in Daqi, her grandfather feared she might be bullied for getting drunk outdoors, so he trained her for a month using the strongest liquor.

It was a month of living hell for her. But from then on, she was invincible to a thousand cups, never drunk after ten thousand.

To her, it was all no different than plain water.

As the strong liquor went down Jin Siyue’s throat, he leaped up, unable to control himself and vomited it all out.

The crowd hurriedly moved aside, yet none dared to show a look of disgust.

After throwing up, Jin Siyue sobered up quite a bit, but he also beca more acutely aware of his disgraceful state and furiously pointed at Jiang Li, who was leaning on the edge of the table.

“What the fuck are you doing?!”

Jiang Li smiled faintly, “Nothing much, just toasting Mr. Jin with a drink.”
