The last one remaining might be her relatives in this tiline, so old, so children.

The people from this period had particularly dark skin, which added to their air of distress.

Yan Jinsu set aside her prejudices and noticed a natural warmth towards these people in the photographs. She couldn’t recall who they were, but she still felt a familial closeness.

In the blink of an eye, Yan Jinsu realized that her past self had lived a life of great wealth and happiness in this tiline.

Perhaps her true relatives were no longer here, but the people in these pictures were all recognized by her.

Otherwise, Yan Jinsu, who valued her privacy, wouldn’t have willingly taken candid photos of strangers.

She threw all the photographs back into the Space, leaving only one in her hand—a family portrait with her and Xie Jingchen leaning together, with a child sitting on each of their knees.

The children were smiling cheerfully, obviously content to be cradled in their parents’ arms.

Looking at this photo, Yan Jinsu noticed the children’s spirited eyes stirring her emotions to the point where she almost teared up.

Was this the feeling of blood connection?

Looking at this photo again, Yan Jinsu felt a completely different sensation than before.

Children!

Her own flesh and blood, the continuation of the lineage rged with her love. This realization brought tears to Yan Jinsu’s eyes.

In the apocalypse, she had wandered alone through countless days and nights, never imagining that after her rebirth, she would find a true man who genuinely cared for her and have her own children!

Thinking back on it now, her attitude towards Xie Jingchen last night was really terrible!

"Xiaojiu, Xiao Shi... are they truly my children?" The doubt in Yan Jinsu’s heart dissolved with the throb of her bloodline, replaced by anticipation.

"We will surely et soon, and when that ti cos, there must be a connection!" Yan Jinsu clutched the photo and her heart, looking up at the calm ripples on the water’s surface, then glanced at her watch.

Nearly half an hour had passed! Yan Jinsu had not expected that just by looking at a photo, ti would fly by in the blink of an eye.

The water was still without a single ripple, causing Yan Jinsu’s heart to race. Had she missed sothing earlier?

Twenty ters underwater, near the wall, was a small Jiao Channel, which Xie Jingchen headed straight towards, guided by his spiritual power’s intuition.

Swimming along the seabed revealed nothing out of the ordinary, save for plentiful gemstones, which Xie Jingchen casually collected into his Space Button.

He certainly didn’t mind the abundance of precious stones.

He swam from the west bank all the way to the east.

Anything unclear he encountered along the way, Xie Jingchen directly transferred it into his Space.

Forget seaweed; there were no even microorganisms visible here. As for fish or shrimp, not a single one existed.

Had it not been for the Space setup that Xie Jingchen and Yan Jinsu possessed, being in such a place would most likely lead to death by starvation.

Swimming into the Jiao Channel, Xie Jingchen continued straight ahead. In contrast to the gems in the outside pool, this place was empty.

The water was clear, allowing Xie Jingchen to see his surroundings crystal clear.

Although there wasn’t much resistance in the water, the monotonous environnt could easily stir up restlessness.

Xie Jingchen wasn’t anxious because of the environnt, but he thought that after nearly twenty minutes, if nothing appeared in another three minutes, he would have to wait until the next opportunity to check again.

Just as he thought this, Xie Jingchen saw the end of the channel! With a knee bend and a leap, due to the water resistance, he managed to jump a re five ters. When he surfaced, it was precisely twenty minutes.

The cavern was tiny. Xie Jingchen shone his flashlight and saw the space was no more than three ters wide and five ters high.

And in that little space, about one square ter on shore, grew a fiery red tree stump. The texture and color of the tree made it look like a Fire Tree.

The Fire Tree had only two green fruits and a pigeon-egg-sized purple Crystal Core at the top of the canopy.

Approaching the Fire Tree, Xie Jingchen felt it was similar to his interactions with the peach blossom tree!

"..." Xie Jingchen paused for a mont, then murmured, "A tree slave?"

The Fire Tree didn’t move at all, but Xie Jingchen wasn’t interested in wasting ti chatting with a different species.

"If the tree slave hasn’t ford yet, then I will deal with it directly. Better than letting it beco like Tao Nu, making my wife prefer trees over people!"

With a flick of his wrist, the previously motionless Fire Tree began to wildly wave its branches as if crying out "No, don’t!"

"No pretending to be dead now? My spiritual power level isn’t high enough to communicate with you. But you’ve injured my wife and worsened her Soul Crystal, I must eradicate you as vengeance for her!"

As soon as Xie Jingchen finished speaking, the Fire Tree shook even more vigorously, then offered its fruit as if seeking to compensate.

"Just giving a fruit is enough? Eating this fruit, can it heal my wife’s Soul Crystal?" Xie Jingchen flicked his spiritual power and suddenly held a hoe in his hand.

This frightened the Fire Tree imnsely; it shook violently and offered the other fruit as well.

Xie Jingchen didn’t stand on ceremony, taking both fruits and storing them into his Space, then asked, "If eaten, can they heal my wife’s Soul Crystal?"

The Fire Tree suddenly slumped as if exhausted.

"If not, then there’s no reason for you to remain and trouble humankind!" Xie Jingchen had none of Yan Jinsu’s rcy. Seeing the Fire Tree’s state, he felt no pity.

As he lifted the hoe, ready to chop it down, the Fire Tree panicked. Its leaves trembled, and one particular branch indicated the purple pigeon-egg-sized Crystal Core at the top.

"Still useful? Can it repair the Soul Crystal?" Xie Jingchen calmly asked the Fire Tree.

The Fire Tree nodded, then nodded again.

Upon seeing this, Xie Jingchen reached for the purple Crystal Core without hesitation.

But the Fire Tree retracted, then combined two branches into one, imitating the gesture of lying down.

"Are you enlightened because of this purple Crystal Core?" Xie Jingchen imdiately understood. Seeing its branches nodding together, he really wanted to chop them off.

It was too anthropomorphic, which seed unscientific!

However, since the peach blossom slave had existed for quite so ti, Xie Jingchen’s ability to resist demons had greatly improved, allowing him to calmly interact with this fantastical creature.

He figured that his wife deserved most of the credit!
