Upon hearing this, Cai Wei beca solemn. If she couldn’t even enter Queen Jiya’s room, how could she kill her?
Chang i angrily said, "If it doesn’t work, then gather more Spiritual Energy of the Space, even at the risk of its depletion, we must eliminate her. This old witch is truly detestable!"
Having witnessed the People of Xianbei Empire eating monkey brains, Chang i’s resentnt had deepened imnsely, almost wishing to kill the crooked old witch herself.
Cai Wei pondered for a mont and said, "During the fight later, I need to use Spiritual Energy to separate Queen Jiya’s palace and the guards of Xianbei Empire to prevent innocent casualties. Hence, I might not have the energy to spare to deal with her, but I will be careful..."
Old Turtle slowly said, "Leave those bugs and poisonous snakes to ; you just need to collect them into the Space!"
Cai Wei nodded and replied, "Good, let’s do as you say."
For safety, Cai Wei also taught Chang i how to use a gun, hoping to eliminate her directly with a gunshot as they did last ti with Tianjizi!
After dinner, Cai Wei went to the forr zen room of Cihai Zhenren, found a Taoist robe of his and wore it. Together with the White Tiger and Brother Ying, she left the Space, rode on the White Tiger under Brother Ying’s guidance, and leaped into the palace, heading straight for Queen Jiya’s sleeping chamber.
The night was deep; a crescent moon hidden in the clouds, faintly blood-red, illuminated the gorgeous palace below. Outside the palace, a row of large red palace lamps flickered, making the entire palace as bright as daylight.
Riding the white tiger just outside the imperial garden, Cai Wei suddenly heard a rustling sound. As she wondered what it was, abruptly dozens of curved shadows slithered out from beneath the palace doors, entering the courtyard.
Under the daylight-like palace lamps, rows of poisonous snakes unbelievably quickly approached Cai Wei. In the blink of an eye, they were in front of her, causing her to gasp in shock, nearly jumping out of her skin!
My god, these are the world’s most poisonous snakes—Taipan snakes!
Taipan snakes are black or brown with an orange stripe along their back and are distinguished by their narrow coffin-shaped heads, giving them a particularly fierce appearance. These snakes are about 2—3.6 ters long, robust, and can secrete lethal venom, a single bite releasing enough to kill 100 adults, ranking them first among terrestrial venomous snakes.
It was surprising enough that snakes native to the tropics appeared in the cold Xianbei Country, making her almost drop her jaw. What shocked her even more was that after slithering over, the snakes did not imdiately attack her but densely surrounded her, seemingly intending to encapsulate her.
The White Tiger growled lowly, seemingly wanting to bite the snakes, but Cai Wei stopped him. Even though it was a Divine Beast, she dared not let it take the risk against such highly venomous snakes.
The circle ford by the Taipan snakes tightened, coiling themselves while hissing, their fangs dripping venom onto the blue stone slabs, making audible sizzling corrosion noises.
"Hehehe... Empress Mu, you’ve finally arrived!"
The doors of the palace opened, and Queen Jiya, dressed in black and with disheveled hair, walked out accompanied by a dozen oddly dressed people. She cackled heinously, like a night owl in the dark. Jiya was tall and gaunt with a pale face, looking worn and haggard, unrecognizable as the mother of the beautiful and charming Helana, much less as the successor of a country!
"Perhaps, I shouldn’t call you Empress Mu, because after all, you are not really Mu Caiwei, but just a wild ghost. Tell , who are you? Where are you from? What do you want to do?"
