Mo Zili did not utter a sound and strode into the West Wing of the front yard. There was no fire in the West Wing, and the room was pitch-black and ice-cold. Mo Zili approached a large wardrobe against the wall, and Cheng Cai quickly opened the wardrobe door, moved away the covering board beneath, and invited Mo Zili to enter.
The wardrobe was an exit of a secret passage. After the two entered, Cheng Cai covered it back with the board, and the wardrobe returned to its original appearance.
The two followed a series of steps down into the tunnel, which was extrely narrow and crudely built, having been recently completed. It led directly to the Cool Autumn Pavilion of Duke Li Guo’s Mansion, or rather, directly into Mo Zili’s room in the Cool Autumn Pavilion.
At this mont, on Mo Zili’s couch, a man who looked exactly like him was lying there in agony. He had been there for an entire day, and during this ti, people kept coming in either to check how drunk he was, or to ask him about a woman nad Wu Xiangyun. Though he had managed to cover up by pretending to be passed out from drunkenness, the peril of the situation had left him with a pounding heart. This was, after all, the grand Duke Li Guo’s Mansion; the slightest carelessness could lead to leaking Young Master Li’s fate, potentially throwing him into an irreparable situation. By then, not to ntion the five hundred taels of silver promised by Young Master Li, even his own little life might be at its end...
Eventually, Young Master Li returned. The stand-in man scrambled up, his voice tinged with a cry, "Young Master, you’re finally back. You have no idea, the Grandmother, Madam, and the old masters have all been here, and even soone from the Palace ca too. They all asked about sothing regarding Miss Yun, I was almost scared to death..."
Before he could babble on, a 500-tael silver bill was already presented in front of him, instantly silencing his litany of complaints.
"Rember, if anything about today gets out, you won’t have a life to enjoy this silver!" Mo Zili said coldly as he threw the silver bill to him.
The stand-in gazed at the large denomination silver bill, his eyes filled with wild joy.
"Take off your mask and get out of here imdiately!"
"Yes, right away, sir."
The stand-in carefully tucked the silver bill into his bosom, removed the mask as instructed, and quietly left Duke Li Guo’s Mansion through the tunnel by which Mo Zili had returned.
On the pine tree outside the window, a white monkey with a detached gaze watched everything happening in the room and imdiately reported what it saw to its master. Cai Wei, upon receiving the information, gave a cold smile, "As expected, it’s him!"
The man looming over her raised his head, asking, "Who?"
"Your dear cousin, Mo Zili. It turns out Xiang Yun was indeed abducted by him."
Upon hearing this, Nangong Yi’s handso face instantly turned much colder. He rolled off of the woman he was with and instructed Zhui Feng and Zhu Yue, sending one to inform Wanyan Jingchen and the other to the Mansion of Marquis Jian’an.
As for rescuing Xiang Yun, they would leave that to Wanyan Jingchen. n love to play the ’hero saves the beauty’ - especially when it concerns a woman they have feelings for...

After the stand-in left, Mo Zili looked at the ssy bed and frowned with disgust; he had a tendency for cleanliness, and feared that this bed was no longer suitable for sleeping.
"Soone, change all the bedding, pillows, and bed curtains on the couch, and thoroughly clean the bed itself!"
After giving the order, he turned and walked towards the Warm Pavilion in the Western Room. Just as he entered the Warm Pavilion, he heard the night-duty maid speaking through the window, "Young Master, Chang, who often accompanies Duke of the Country, is here. He says the Duke is asking for you to co imdiately."
Upon hearing this, Mo Zili’s heart sank, guessing that his grandfather’s summoning at this ti must have to do with Xiang Yun. He changed his clothes undisturbed and had a bit to drink, then quietly left, following Old Master Li Guo’s close attendant Old Yan to the old man’s study.
