Chapter 598: Chapter 597: Fortunately, I Arrived Early

Nianhe rushed over directly from the commune warehouse after receiving a call from Accountant Zhao.

Accountant Zhao was worried that the money wouldn’t be delivered on ti, so he wanted Nianhe to get so money from Wong Xiao to cover expenses first, and then top it up when Li Xiaoshan brought the money over.

But Bully Lin didn’t go to Wong Xiao at all, instead, he dashed into the clinic with a wrench in hand.

The patients at the entrance were so scared that they thought he was a robber who went to the wrong place.

“Good grief, which hole did you just crawl out of?” Sitting up on another bed in the ward, Wang Shui had her trouser leg rolled up, revealing a patch of mottled abrasions.

She looked at Nianhe’s flowery face and burst into laughter.

“Woo… Sister Shui!”

With a cry of misery, Nianhe lunged forward: “Sister Shui, who beat you up like this, this treatable look?”

Wang Shui quickly dodged to the side, fearing that Nianhe would add insult to injury.

Nianhe, knowing her hands were dirty, didn’t dare to touch Wang Shui’s leg but leaned over to take a closer look and declared, “Lucky I ca early.”

Wang Shui was startled by her: “What? I think I’m not badly hurt.”

Nianhe: “If I ca a bit later, you’d be healed.”

Wang Shui: “…”

Nianhe turned her head to look at Wang Xue, examined her for a long ti, and repeated, “Lucky I ca early.”

Hope rose in Wang Xue’s eyes: “So my injury is light too?”

No one had given her a mirror to check her reflection on the way here; she only felt pain but didn’t know what her injuries looked like.

Nianhe: “If it was any later, you’d be partaking in a banquet.”

Wang Xue: “…!”

“Would you just shut up already, you scare the living daylights out of people when there’s nothing seriously wrong.”

A familiar female voice ca from the door, and Nianhe turned around, stunned, “Why are you back?”

It was none other than Zhou Fenyang, Nianhe’s only contact at the provincial city hospital.

“I finished my studies, so I ca back,” Zhou Fenyang said, wrinkling her brow disdainfully, “Stay away from , you’re covered in dust. If you touch the wound, I’ll have to clean it all over again.”

“Alright.” Nianhe gave Wang Xue a reassuring look, “Don’t worry, Sister Xue, your injury is not as severe as Daxi’s was; it won’t leave a scar.”

The tears that Wang Xue had just mustered instantly receded, and with a long sigh of relief, she shot Nianhe a resentful glance.

Seeing Zhou Fenyang ready to treat the wound, Nianhe stepped back and asked Wang Shui, “Sister Shui, what happened? Who hit you? Where is that bastard?”

Wang Shui shook her head: “It was Duan Hongi; Xiao Lan wouldn’t let her drive the tractor, she probably hasn’t arrived yet.”

“Huh?” Nianhe frowned, “Her again? Why does she always ask for trouble? Doesn’t she care about anyone in this world?”

Wang Shui hurriedly said, “Nianhe, don’t start fighting; Xiao Lan already hit her once…”

Before Wang Shui could finish, noises ca from outside.

“And you still dare to scream? You started the trouble, you threw the first punch! How big of a grudge do you have to smash soone’s head with a brick? You…”

Wang Shui’s eyes narrowed, and before she could reach out, as expected, early-on-the-scene Bully Lin had already rushed out.

In the corridor, He Aimin was scolding Duan Hongi, quite impatiently.

He really couldn’t stand it anymore; this person was just too troubleso, even a Buddha would slap her twice.

Li Dahe looked unconcerned, standing to the side, neither speaking nor intervening.

And at the other end of the corridor, Wong Xiao was quickly approaching with another person.

In full view of everyone, Nianhe burst out of the ward and charged straight at Duan Hongi, raising her hand and delivered two more slaps on her colorful face.

“Ah?”

“Girl!”

“What are you doing?”

Lin Nianhe ignored all of Uncle’s protests, grabbed Duan Hongi by the collar, and slamd her against the wall.

Duan Hongi, bewildered by the slaps, hit her head against the wall, seeing stars. Just as she was regaining her senses, she t Lin Nianhe’s extrely cold eyes, and the curses on her lips suddenly couldn’t co out.

Lin Nianhe’s arm pressed against her throat, making it hard for her to breathe, her face turning red.

“Girl, let go, let go now!” Li Dahe tried to pull Lin Nianhe away, but she avoided him with a flick of her arm.

Li Dahe tried to reach out again, but when he caught a glimpse of the people who ca with Wong Xiao, he quickly said, “Xiao Su, co over quickly! Stop her!”

Su Yuncheng quickly ca over, reaching out to pull Lin Nianhe’s arm: “Nian…”

“Get lost!”

Su Yuncheng withdrew his hand and turned to Li Dahe saying, “Can’t stop her.”

Li Dahe: “…”

Lin Nianhe ignored them, watching coldly as Duan Hongi’s face turned the color of a liver, and then said, “Nothing happens three tis, if you dare to touch a person from Ten Miles Team again, not even your mother will find where you die.”

Her voice was not loud, yet exceptionally determined.

After speaking, she briskly retracted her hand and stood up straight.

Duan Hongi’s legs gave out, and she fell to the ground, holding her neck and coughing so hard that tears fell.

Lin Nianhe eyed her state, blinked her eyes, and hid the icy chill at the bottom of her eyes.

Quickly readjusting her emotions, she turned her head to Su Yuncheng, her tone softening, “Brother Yuncheng, you’re here.”

Her face was sared like a flower cat’s, and her clothes were dirty, looking sowhat pitiful.

Su Yuncheng looked her over and asked, “What happened?”

“She bullied us!” Lin Nianhe pointed at Duan Hongi on the ground, her tone firm.

“Are you hurt?” Su Yuncheng asked, frowning.

Lin Nianhe held her heart with both hands: “I’m not, but I was scared to death!”

Wong Xiao: “…”

He Aimin: “…”

Li Dahe’s right foot unconsciously began to scrape the ground.

“It’s okay now.” Su Yuncheng soothingly rubbed Lin Nianhe’s head, taking out a handkerchief to wipe her face.

After wiping twice and not getting it clean, he casually said, “Go wash your face.”

“Okay.”

Lin Nianhe, holding onto Su Yuncheng’s sleeve, walked out, not forgetting to say to Wong Xiao, “Uncle Wong, strict punishnt is needed!”

Wong Xiao: “…”

Whether to punish strictly or not, we can talk about it later, he now felt it was more important to do a proper ideological education for them.

Before seeing the injuries on Wang Shui and Wang Xue, Wong Xiao thought Lin Nianhe was being impulsive, it was just a fight, no need for the screaming and killing;

After seeing the injuries on Wang Shui and Wang Xue, Wong Xiao understood Lin Nianhe.

Putting himself in their shoes, if it was Li Dahe being beaten like this… well, if it was Feng Yuanshan being beaten like this…

No more comparisons, he just understood.

Next to the water tap, Lin Nianhe washed her face clean again, then asked Su Yuncheng, “Why did you suddenly co back?”

“There’s sothing I need to ask Mr. Feng,” Su Yuncheng looked at her and asked softly, “What exactly happened?”

“Well, I’m not very clear, I wasn’t at the scene when they were fighting,” Lin Nianhe said, “I heard from Uncle Zhao that Sister Shui was pushed down and pinned under bricks… Fortunately, her head wasn’t hit.”

When Lin Nianhe got the call from Accountant Zhao, she really thought there was going to be a feast.

“I’m not lying, I was really scared.”
