The smile on Lin Nianhe’s lips stiffened for a mont. She glanced at the other person: “Do you think so too?”
That person naturally sided with his partner and pounded the table, shouting, “Of course! We will investigate not only you, but we will thoroughly scrutinize your family’s background…”
“Scrutinize my ass.”
Lin Nianhe flipped the table.
She had initially thought to divert their attention to prevent them from running around the village and possibly uncovering things they truly should not find—since her books and clothes all had special approval from the Foreign Trade Departnt. In the end, she could just show the evidence, and these two wouldn’t have any real power or protection from Shi Chengkun to challenge her.
She could handle being investigated and interrogated, but they insisted on involving Mr. Lin and Aunt Lin, and that was unbearable.
Lin Nianhe kicked the table away, stood up, and took the large bowls in front of them, smashing one on each of their heads.

Li Dahe burst into rage instantly, and together with Wang Hong, they kicked open the door with one foot each.
Just then, they bumped into Lin Nianhe rummaging for a kitchen knife.
Wang Hong imdiately pulled Lin Nianhe into her embrace and cautiously stepped back two steps, glaring at the two prostrate clerks moaning on the ground, “Xiao He, what happened? Did they hit you?”
Lin Nianhe still fuming, twisted out of Wang Hong’s embrace, stomped into the kitchen, grabbed the kitchen knife from the stove, and charged back.
The people in the yard were dumbstruck, watching Lin Nianhe in shock and completely forgetting to stop her.
It was Sie Yufei who reacted first, as he was familiar with Lin Nianhe like this! He dashed over, “Xiao He, who are you hitting?”
“Get out of my way!”
Lin Nianhe shoved him aside, bypassed Wang Hong and Li Dahe, and rushed back to face the two clerks who had just sat up, pointing the cold blade at them, her mouth curved into a cold sneer, “Co on, you two choose, who is most eager to report and investigate my parents?”

Then, under the stunned gaze of everyone, the two clerks began to fight each other.

Li Dahe finally ca to his senses, pushed Wang Hong aside: “What are you waiting for? Get the knife down first! She might hurt herself!”
As if waking from a dream, Wang Hong quickly rushed over, snatched the knife from Lin Nianhe’s hand, and then dragged her out.
The two clerks on the ground struggling were completely oblivious to the threatening knife that had changed hands, continuing to fight.
