That woman promised them that they would spend ti together, why did it feel like she was going back on her words? Can’t she fulfill any of her promises? Why make promises when she can’t fulfill them?
"Good morning Zhihao, Feihao." Tinghao and Minghao unisonly responded as Qin Xinyu walked over, too, into the dining room; he was also waking up now. Yesterday was a hectic day, and he felt exhausted after moving up and down the entire afternoon, assisting his mother in handling the guests.
"Good morning Zhihao, Feihao, Tinghao, and Minghao." He sat down just beside Feihao and at that mont, Xu Xie and Twilight walked in to join them at the dining table.
"Good morning."
"Good morning Auntie Xu, Twilight." They all responded as Xu Xie and Twilight settled down just beside Qin Xinyu.
"Your mommy ain’t up yet? What ti is it?" Xu Xie, who hadn’t looked at the ti, turned around and gazed at the wall clock on the tall wall. It was just 8am; a few minutes had gone past, and it was still early.
"Humph!" Zhihao was grumpy and his eyes were now turning watery. Their momma should have already co down since they took longer getting themselves freshened up. It was just taking a shower, that shouldn’t take her that long, right?
"She would be down in no ti! Don’t be sad!" Minghao was worried that he would beco angry at their mother and this would only beco detrintal to their relationship. It was normal that their mother would be exhausted after yesterday’s hassle; she had drunk too, and she was probably experiencing so headaches and having hangovers.
A few tears trickled down his face as he bowed his head and carefully wiped them away silently. The others didn’t dare say anything seeing how he was crying and looking disappointed. He had his own valid reasons and they couldn’t bla him for having expectations. He was just like any other kid who yearned for their mother’s love.
"Good morning everyone..." Nanny Yun walked over with bowls of food while other servants carried juice glasses, juice jugs, and other bowls containing all varieties of breakfast als. They were also carrying trays of food and placed them in front of them. Each had a food allergy, and they made sure it was a safe food to consu for each one of them.
"Good morning Nanny Yun.." they unisonly responded as they went on serving them. Huo Ting Cheng, who had co down over to the dining room, imdiately noticed the strange atmosphere encircling the dining room, and Zhihao, who had kept his face bowed, looked disheartened.
"Zhihao, your mommy is taking a shower and will be down in a few minutes; you can figure out what you want to do! Which activities you would want to do together." He walked over and kissed his kids on their cheeks before greeting the others with words of mouth.
They were already having their breakfast and it wasn’t a good ti for a handshake.
"Ooohh...." He imdiately straightened his back as his eyes brightened and sparkled brightly. They were back to life and he imdiately began eating his breakfast anticipating. He was glad that their momma was keeping her promise.
Huo Ting Cheng was more worried about Zhihao having outbursts compared to other kids who were composed. He settled down on his dining chair before picking up a magazine to go through while Nanny Yun served him a cup of bitter coffee.
"How about the park?" Zhihao just wanted to spend ti with his momma; even if they just sat there doing nothing, he would gladly do that. To him, so long as he breathes the sa air with his momma, that would be more than enough.
"I did suggest, but she thought it would be ti-consuming driving out of the mansion over to the park; she said you can do that next weekend, and I will have proper ti to handle everything and make preparations; today, you are staying indoors." He eyed him before perusing through the magazine. He couldn’t see anything new written in the magazine apart from just the usual politics and assemblies. So entertainnt news and a bit of sports.
"That’s okay, too; what do you think about that, Feihao?" He turned around and eyed Feihao, who was having her breakfast, before looking at Minghao and Tinghao.
"Anything is okay with ." She politely responded as she didn’t have anything in mind, so long as their mother accompanied them in lazing around, she would be fine.
"I have nothing in mind so don’t ask ..." Minghao shook her head; she was also the sa as everyone else. Staying at ho was the best option for the day since it was short.
"Just play at the pool." The case was closed. Apart from the pool, they can harvest fruits in the garden, plant flowers, and even play in the mud; that was enough, but he wasn’t going to accompany them in ssing around doing that stuff.
"All right Daddy." They nodded their heads in agreent. Qin Xinyu and Twilight thought of joining them in doing absolutely nothing and Xu Xie wasn’t left behind. In her mind she wanted to join them, while having so fun, she could chat with her friend.
Secretary Li, Huo Qi, Huo Wu, Huo Zheng, and two other guards walked over to the dining room.
"Good morning everyone." They greeted them together, and they equally responded together, eying them before getting back to their breakfast.
Secretary Li was yawning loudly as he had just woken up and seed to be laid back with the ho clothes he was wearing today. You couldn’t compare it with the person he usually is during the working days.
"You aren’t working today?" He rarely saw him being this lax and lazing around for so many years, and he was used to seeing him in black suits all the ti; this felt slightly new to him. He has always been busy, etings after etings be it on holidays or weekends. Funny enough, he was wearing ho clothes today, it didn’t give out the bossy vibe he always does when wearing a suit.
"Today I’m taking a day off! Will laze around a little bit, but we do have a virtual eting altogether to be conducted later in the day." Since it was an international eting being held by Huo Ting Cheng, they had to log in to all of them and attend the eting.
"Oooh..." He gently humd before bowing his head and gazing at the magazine. "Soone did say they are taking a few days off and would vanish to an unknown place to unwind and relax, what are you doing in my ho?" Huo Qi had said he would be off for five days and no one should try and find him, but he was loitering around the mansion, lazing just like Secretary Li.
"Haiya! I have lived here long enough to think otherwise. It’s always my ho, even if I’m off, I can still live here." He grumpily spoke up without care while he got a sandwich, taking a huge bite. Even if he took so days off, he didn’t have any plans of going anywhere. His Master’s safety had to be guaranteed, and that was his utmost priority. He could be off and staying close by killing two birds with one stone.
"You should use this ti to find a wife and settle down! Don’t say I was the one who blocked your path!" Huo Ting Cheng glared at him before gazing at the kids. They were eating while giving them glances from ti to ti.
"I told you... You are my first love; I love you actually, very, very much; how about you divorce her and marry ?" Huo Qi heavily grunted glaring at him. He had already told him he didn’t have any plans of settling down, but he was still bringing this topic up every ti he got a chance.
"No way!"
"That’s not possible!
"You can try Secretary Li, he is also handso..."
"Try Huo Wu, he is young and fresh!"
Xu Xie was the first one to speak up glaring at Huo Qi. How dare he suggest sothing like that. Twilight also spoke up because she knew how much this marriage ant to her Momma. She wasn’t going to allow anyone else to destroy it, it didn’t matter who it was.
