Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Guess_1

Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Guess_1

Old Grandma Fan was not pleased and cursed, “Shut your mother’s trap, what bullshit are you spouting? Anyone can see this item is for young won to use; my daughter-in-law is already up there in age, why would she use such frivolous undergarnts?”

Madam Hua, who was rather simple and honest but with a fiery temper and imnse strength, was not afraid of Old Grandma Fan. Hearing her cursing, she beca angry, approached, and retorted, “Who’s that filthy mouth cursing at, curse again if you dare. That thing obviously belongs to Fan’s wife; it wasn’t just who saw it, Second Sister-in-law Wang saw it too. Why your daughter-in-law needed to use such youthful attire is sothing you should go ho and ask her about.”

Seeing the mountain-like figure of Madam Hua bearing down on her, Old Grandma Fan felt so fear, but she found Madam Hua’s words unbearable and fired back, “Your mother’s farts, if you like seducing your idiot Hua Dianzi with that thing, don’t assu everyone else is as shaless as you…”

Before she could finish, Madam Hua had already grabbed her hair and slapped her twice. Old Grandma Fan wasn’t weak either, screaming as she grappled with Madam Hua. Due to the obvious difference in size, Old Grandma Fan was quickly pinned to the ground by Madam Hua.

Lady Tang quickly stepped forward and said to the onlookers, “Co on, help separate them. This isn’t sothing glorious, creating such a ruckus. If it gets out, it won’t be good for the young ladies of our village to talk about.”

Everyone disliked Old Grandma Fan and initially wanted to see her take a few more hits before intervening. But after hearing what the daughter-in-law of Lizheng said, they quickly stepped in to separate them.

Amidst the quarreling, Fan’s wife ran over with a flushed face, followed by Fan Dahei. He took hold of Old Grandma Fan and said, “Mother, hurry ho, everyone’s waiting for you for breakfast.”

Fan’s wife reached to pick up the bellyband that had fallen to the ground, but Lady Tang got to it first, saying, “This isn’t yours; why are you so anxious to pick it up? My father-in-law is asking Auntie Fan to co to our house, and this item must be brought along as well. This matter doesn’t concern just one or two households; it’s about our entire Huaxi Village and must be thoroughly investigated.”

Fan’s wife, with flushed face and red ears, explained, “This isn’t mine; I just thought it disgraceful to leave it lying on the ground, so I went to pick it up.”

So cheeky man said with a snicker, “If it’s not yours, what’s there to be embarrassed about?”

This elicited a round of laughter from the crowd of onlookers.

Wang Lizheng inquired where Old Grandma Fan had found the item and scolded her for not keeping such scandalous things hidden and, instead, shouting about them; she was losing face for the entire Huaxi Village. He also told Fan Dahei to go ho and keep his mother under control, lest she went around spreading nonsense and shaming herself.

Afterward, Madam Lizheng, accompanied by several won, walked around the village, but they did not find any more such items. The incident thus ca to nothing. In the end, both bellybands were burned by Madam Lizheng.

Old Grandma Fan was beaten by Old Man Fan when she got ho, as he scolded her for ddling. Then Old Grandma Fan took out her anger on Fan’s wife, accusing her of seducing other n and insisting that Fan Dahei divorce her. Fan’s wife was so furious she wanted to jump into a well.

Fan Dahei yelled at his mother, “I know my wife hasn’t done anything disgraceful; I even saw that thing last night. It must be that you’ve offended soone with your prattle, and they’ve stolen these items and planted them in our ho.”

Frustrated, Old Grandma Fan went up and hit Fan Dahei, “You cursed wretch, when your wife commits shaless acts you bla your own mother…”

And in Wang Lizheng’s house, although they had burnt the bellyband that Wang Cuicui had lost, the entire family was still deeply suspicious. First, they hit the dog a few tis with a stick, blaming it for not being a good watchdog. Then they analyzed who would have such audacity to steal sothing from their ho. They firmly believed it wasn’t soone from their own village, as no one in the village had the guts to provoke them, nor did anyone seem capable of such a “feat”.

Wang Cuicui’s elder brother, Wang Hongli, said thoughtfully, “It could very well be Xu Fuzi’s doing. Yesterday afternoon I saw him wandering around the village several tis, his eyes sneakily peering at the young won with good looks, and he even glanced at my little sister a few tis.”

Once he said this, everyone felt it made sense. First, the Xu family were all skilled in martial arts; second, the young n of the Xu family were all lecherous; third, Xu Fuzi was at the age of discussing marriage. Finally, the item was found at the eastern end of the village, on the path that led to Darong Village.

The Wang family was filled with fear, for none of the Xu family were good people, and if they had indeed been targeted by them, trouble was sure to follow.

Madam Lizheng clenched her teeth and cursed, “That bunch of animals, old ones and the young ones even more so.”

They then unanimously decided to get another dog for guarding the house and to be more vigilant at night. Especially Wang Cuicui, she would avoid the Xu family if she saw them.

After that, Wang Lizheng and several mbers of his family took separate actions, warning the villagers about Xu Fuzi and hinting that the apricot yellow bellyband was most likely related to him. They warned the villagers that if such a misfortune befell another household, not only would it be shaful for the girl of that family to discuss marriage, but all of the young won in the village would find it difficult as well, thus becoming enemies with the entire village…

The villagers were abuzz with discussion, condemning Xu Fuzi for his shalessness, to the point where he would even covet soone as old as Fan’s wife.

While Huaxi Village buzzed with excitent, Xu family’s ho in Darong Village was even livelier. The Xu family expected Qian Sangui to co to their ho today with the intention of exchanging their dim-witted Lady Cheng for his own marriageable daughter. But when they opened their eyes in the morning, they realized the bellyband had strangely vanished, and it could not be found even after turning the house upside down.

Besides the three generations of n in the house, there was only Xu Fuzi’s mother, Lady Du. They all fully believed that Lady Du would absolutely not dare to defy their commands and assist outsiders. After nearly two decades of their “training,” Lady Du had beco a barely breathing marionette. Whatever they said, she would do. If she had even a bit of her own thinking, she could not have survived in this courtyard, just as the wives Yama Raja Xu had married later on.

Yama Raja Xu, stroking his bald head, puzzled, said, “It’s so strange, I clearly placed it on my bed, and before sleep, I even looked at it several tis. How could it suddenly disappear?”

Boss Xu also expressed his suspicions, “Aside from our butchery, no one dares to co close, and who dares to approach within two ters of our courtyard? The item was clearly in father’s room, yet it suddenly vanished.” He then thought of a possibility and panicked, “Qian Sangui used to be with the Escort Army, could it be that so of his fellow brothers ca and took it away?”

If it were Qian Sangui’s fellow brothers who ca and took away the item right under their noses, and they were unaware of it, then their skills must be extraordinary.

Yama Raja Xu scoffed, “Even if it was his fellow brothers, what does it matter? They dared only to take our things and wouldn’t dare touch a single hair on us, probably fearing our family. If the Qian family does not recognize their situation and refuse to trade the simple-minded Lady Cheng for their daughter, even without that bellyband, we’ll still send a matchmaker for Fuzi. Let others see that the girl has caught the eye of our Xu family, and whoever dares to marry her will be making an enemy of us. I want to see whether the Qian family prefers a foolish daughter-in-law or their own dear daughter.”

Boss Xu said, “Father, don’t be anxious. Let Fuzi go for a walk around Huaxi Village and near their ho to see what’s happening. If indeed soone from their family has co, we’ll wait a bit longer.”
