Lun was able to take the panthers down in one shot each, while they could barely even lay a scratch on him. Their only effective strategy against him was their usage of their numbers against him, which only hindered him slightly as it only increased the effort he had to put in to kill them.

This was the reason why it took so long for him to wipe the pride of panthers out. When the chase ended between them, the panthers stood no chance and Lun didn’t bother running anymore when he sensed that he gained the advantage.

In the end, all of the panthers turned into experience for Lun to continue his levelling spree throughout the tutorial.

In total he had received 7 of the sa notifications, reminding him of his feat of taking out 7 level 24 beasts single handedly. Though he knew that it wasn’t such a big achievent considering that he had evolved while the panthers were still at the F tier.

The difference in tiers also made a difference in the experience gained for killing beasts of a lower tier than oneself, with Lun only gaining a single level from killing the 7 panthers, and he barely reached it even while already being 50% through level 25.

Exhausted from the chase, Lun lay down on the ground and peered through the dense canopy of trees above him.

’At this rate, I should reach around level 40 to level 45 ish depending on the number of beasts I co across each day.’

He took this rare mont in ti where he could lay down and relax to consider how his progress might look by the ti the tutorial ends.

’However that is only considering that I only hunt packs of beasts still at the F tier. From this point onwards, there is no doubt that there will be stronger, E tier beasts appearing deeper in the valleys ahead.’

Considering this information, Lun was eager to get going again and picked himself up off the ground to continue his search for more powerful beasts as he continued on towards the south.

He didn’t know at which level he would receive his next evolution opportunity, but he still made it his goal to reach level 50 before the tutorial ended. Considering his hunting speed and efficiency, he wouldn’t be able to reach that goal if he only relied on hunting F tier beasts and so his number one priority was to head deeper into the tutorial until he found beasts similar in level to himself, or more preferably higher!

Most of the ti Lun spent throughout his days was just spent on exploring and keeping his senses peeled for any beasts, not doing any actual fighting. This could get quite boring for Lun so to pass the ti he simply started inspecting his status in detail for the first ti in a while.

He had grown quite considerably from the previous him who only had stats slightly above the average talented human. Now he would consider himself the strongest person in the tutorial, with most of his confidence coming from his own experiences in battle and his strength, added on to the fact that he was 1st in the credit rankings on the tutorial panel.

’But who knows, there could be a hidden monster out there sowhere still waiting to reveal their power.’

Other than his huge increase in stats, he was happy to finally obtain so new skills not entirely focused on his magic. While he had chosen his two class skill selection chances to be magic skills, it was nice to have a more diverse arsenal of skills at his disposal, especially considering the power of the two new skills he had received.

With the thought of new skills being added to his list, he was reminded that he was only 4 levels away from another chance at choosing another skill, which only boosted his motivation to hunt even more.

’What a sh*tty day for hunting!’

Lun was busy venting his frustration on the shrubbery and trees around him, leaving piles of snapped logs and branches everywhere his anger took him until it subsided.

Despite him spending all of the daylight searching through the periphery of his perception for any beasts to hunt, all the while continuing deeper in the tutorial, he hadn’t found even a single beast.

Hence, when darkness ca and the tutorial beca dormant of beastly activities once more, he could only suck it up and make camp to wait the night out.

He was so annoyed with his rotten luck in finding beasts, he couldn’t even get a wink of sleep. Instead, he opted for sitting in ditation while working on his understanding of mana after reading through ’My book of mana’ again.

The familiar warm and gentle flow of mana greeted him as it entered his body and circulated through his system. Mana was present in every living thing, as well as making it’s presence known everywhere in the universe. This elusive energy was more like the ultimate force of nature than an energy source.

While he was thinking about the wondrous nature of mana, deja vu hit him all at once again as the exact sa feeling he had felt once before struck him.

Another vague mory had invaded his mind again!
