The cha warriors were training as usual. It didn’t matter if they had been assured that mutated beasts would not attack, the work of protecting the empire had to continue.
Folsom was leading the soldiers of the thunder death army in a cha chase when his cha was punched out of the sky.
The colossal red cha, with white wings fell down to the ground and crushed with a lot of force. The impact of the fall alerted not just the n in training but also the officers that were monitoring all active chas from headquarters both on the Blue star and the capital.
An alert was imdiately shared and a dical team was dispatched. Even the RGB was notified about a possible attack in the Blue city where cha warriors trained.
As others sward in quickly to defend their new general in acting, Esong revealed himself. He was in a familiar cha however the invisibility was new.
Loudly, and quickly, Ian yelled into his communication device. "Back off, it’s our leader. The general has returned, I repeat the general has returned."
With this knowledge they halted their plans to counterattack. If Esong had decided to beat up Folsom to a pulp, none of them would be stepping in. As far as they were concerned, Folsom had done sothing to deserve it.
All the chas in the sky fell into formation quickly and saluted the general. The thunder death army horn was blown, informing those who were far and wide that the general had arrived.
Esong did not stop to acknowledge them and he dove down like an eagle, desperate to catch up with his prey before it could escape.
The others had no idea what was going on but they followed him anyway. A fight was a fight and they intended to watch it.
As soon as Esong touched down, he evacuated the cha with force and approached Folsom who was evacuating his as well.
As soon as Folsom set his eyes on Esong and noticed that they were partially red, he knew what was coming and he turned to escape.
He couldn’t escape however because Esong grabbed him by his cloak and threw him over his shoulder, banging Folsom’s body hard on the ground.
"We have been long overdue for a reunion. What did I tell you before we set off?" Two voices ca out of Esong’s mouth and both voices were pissed.
"Calm down Nyx, let’s talk about it." the life angel in Folsom said.
In a angry voice, Esong repeated the sa question. "What did I tell you before we set off Zazel?"
"You told to keep an eye on your family and protect them from other life angels and to watch your back and tell you if any plans had been made to co after you. But what could I do about it Nyx? If you knew, you would have evaded it." The life angel, Zazel answered. Then he smirked and added, "You look good like this. I guess the deity of wisdom found a way to rge you."
Esong bit his cheek and his fist landed on Folsom’s cheek.
"Yeah, no thanks to you Zazel, you tried to kill as soon as we stepped into that dead world. Is that how you watch the back of soone you consider an ally?"
Zazel shrugged and he answered nonchalantly. "You have your deity and I have mine. If I didn’t try to kill you then they would begin to suspect and know that I was the one who let you into the realm of life so that you could steal the seed chord. You owe Nyx. By my count, you have five children, and you have only paid enough for one. I want what I am owed."
"You are a traitor to your kind." Esong growled out. "They will surely not be too happy to know about the little secret we share."
Zazel smirked and chuckled. "Anybody can say that but you Nyx. You are just as much a traitor in your own way as I am. Let’s not complicate the situation too much and stick to business. You and i had a deal in which I would get what I want as long as you got what you desired the most." He gritted his teeth and got to his feet. "You have successfully pulled off the greatest heist that ever existed with zero consequences. You have got your happy ending and now I want mine. Send to the underworld now and we will not owe each other anymore."
As a man of hos word, Nyx knew that he had to fulfill the promise he made even when Esong didn’t think they should and they would get in trouble. But a favor was owed, not just a promise.
"If you do anything other than what you told you intend to do, I will smoke you out of Folsom’s body myself." Esong whispered to him.
"And he will die." Zazel reminded him. "I just want one thing, only one thing. Even the gods owe this. If you could succeed in your goal, so can I."
The others were approaching so Esong grabbed Folsom by the back of his neck and flew off with him. "Don’t follow us." he instructed.
Ian and all the other cha warriors were left in a helpless state of confusion. Esong had been locked up for weeks now but the first thing he had done after being released was not go ho but pick a fight with Folsom.
"What do you think happened between those two?" Jacks asked Ian. He was so close when he asked the question that his lips brushed Ian’s upper ear.
Ian was startled and he jumped up.
"You fuckin fucker!!" he yelled as he scratched, rubbed and tried to purge the feeling of Ian’s mouth coming into contact with his ear.
"Relax Ian, your not my type. I was just trying to whisper so that the others wouldn’t hear us." Jacks told him. "Just tell what you think happened between those two. Are they fighting because Folsom was made the face of the thunder death warriors and hero that saved the day or is it sothing more personal than that?"
"How the hell should I know?" Ian shouted at him. He was washing his ear with water and soap.
Jacks couldn’t believe what he was witnessing. Ian was overreacting unnecessarily.
"I barely brushed your ear. Why the exaggeration?" Jacks asked.
"With all the places your mouth has been I do not want it in contact with any part of . Do you know the kind of reputation you have? I do not want my girlfriend to misunderstand."
"Hey, has anyone sent word to the governor that he has returned?" Cedric crushed their conversation with a question.
The n that were closest to Esong glanced at each other.
"I will go." Jacks volunteered.
"No." A few voices responded at the sa ti, all of them completely against his idea.
"She needs to hear the news from soone more respectable. Soone who will not joke around or say sothing stupid." Ian explained.
Cedric smiled naughtily and said, "On the other hand, we all know what kind of temper she has. Maybe we should let him go."
"I am not going." Jacks declared.
"Coward." Ian laughed.
