With everything and everyone back in their place, Scarlet too got rid of her phantom and she laid down on the hospital bed. Then, she unfroze ti and took a deep breath.

Carolyn had been talking when Scarlet froze ti and she continued on..."Can you believe it?"

Since they all received the mories of the phantoms, they didn’t notice a thing out of place.

"No I can’t, it’s outrageous." Scarlet responded in monotone.

Her mind connected to what Carolyn had been narrating so enthusiastically. Apparently, Emory had decided on a whim to marry Emily off and it had caused a strain in their house because Emtt refused to hear of it.

Scarlet touched her belly and poked it. It was a little hollow and soft as a result of hunger. "Emily is still young, I agree with Emtt, she should stay ho until she is a little more mature. I recomnd age fifty."

ga had not been participating in the conversation. She was a passive listener, rocking her baby to sleep as she kept an eye on her five granddaughters in their birth pods.

Birth pods and artificial wombs looked alike, both were designed to keep the babies warm and safe. The difference was that birth pods could be moved but the artificial wombs couldn’t.

"Stay out of Emory’s affairs Scarlet and don’t recomnd anything to them." ga raised her body and she put her son in an empty birth pod.

Scarlet had zero intentions of poking her nose into Emory’s business. However, she had an opinion and she was not shy about sharing it.

Before sharing it however, she had to fill her stomach. She got a cluster of bananas first from her storage space and peeled one.

After chewing it, she said, "Emily is a child, not age wise but behavior wise. Her spending habits are out of control, she skips from one profession to another and she doesn’t have a clear path for her life. I don’t think that girl is ready to be anyone’s wife, let alone a mother."

She peeled another banana and decimated it in two bites. Before swallowing it fully, she moved on to her third one.

Carolyn put a hand on Scarlet and shook her head. "Slow down."

"Uh-huh." Scarlet refused. "I have five children sucking everything out of I need all the nutrition I can get. I am so hungry right now, it’s like I haven’t eaten for a whole month."

ga was just as lost as Carolyn was at this sudden desire of Scarlet to fill her stomach. "You just ate a bowl of porridge two hours ago."

"Exactly mother, two hours ago." Scarlet replied.

She got a warm bowl of chilli, two sandwiches and a pitcher of fresh juice.

The door opened and Fey entered with a silver suitcase in hand. "Will this be big enough to pack up everything? I don’t know why we need a suitcase when we all have storage bracelets."

Scarlet was being discharged today and the suitcase was ant to store baby clothes, dical supplies, and other baby things.

"A storage bracelet is not a garbage bin. You don’t just dump everything inside, you must put them away neatly." Their mother answered.

Fey abandoned the suitcase by her mother’s feet and she went to look at the babies. "I can’t believe that you still haven’t nad them. You can’t call them one, two, three, four and five forever."

"I have a list of nas but I was hoping my husband would be around to share his opinion." Scarlet got a notebook from her storage space and tossed it down at the edge of the bed.

Carolyn grabbed it before Fey or ga could.

"Let’s see., Apple "

"No." Scarlet yelled. "I will never na my daughter Apple. It’s too familiar to the na of soone I don’t like. In fact, cancel that out for ."

Carolyn shrugged, got a pen and cancelled Apple from the list.

"Okay, we have Azrael, Anubis, Ajal, Ankou..." She stopped reading and looked up to Scarlet with a frown. "Where are you getting these weird and I am sorry to say but ugly nas from? The are girls, they need cute nas like Lily, Flower, Sunny, Ocean, Elle, Carolyn..."

"Hahaha, nice of you to slip your na in there." Fey pulled the notebook from Carolyn’s hand roughly.

She started off from where Carolyn had stopped. "Adrienne, Anpu, Banshee, Bela, Belladonna, Blackwood, Charon, Chiwa, Dalia, Delilah, Dabria, Draven, Darcie, Eresh, Ernesh, Ernaline ,Enma, Freyja, Felaar."

She put down the notebook and looked at Scarlet but said nothing. Her expression however said volus, portraying exactly what Carolyn thought.

Carolyn smiled joyously like she had been validated. "I told you, weird, ugly, long and unheard of. Look at those beautiful babies and tell you want them to live with nas like Chiwa and Ankou."

"I think Chiwa is cute." ga said.

Scarlet opened her chilli filled mouth and said, "Great, one baby nad, Chiwa Su. I think it’s cute too mother."

"No, no, no...you are not naming your baby Chiwa." Carolyn argued. "And small reminder, you may be a Su but my little nieces are not. They are Wu’s, okay Wu’s. This is happening because you haven’t changed your na from Su to Wu. But anyway, Chiwa..." She raised her hands and frowned.

"Carolyn, dear, perhaps you should have your own babies and na then what you want. Scarlet is younger than you and she has six of them. Shouldn’t you be trying to catch up to her."

"I will have a child after the wedding mother. How many tis do we have to discuss this?" Carolyn responded.

She rolled her eyes too when she was responding, signaling that she was tired of having this conversation.

Fey tapped one of the birth pods and she shook her head, her eyes filled with amusent as she looked from her baby brother to her nieces. "It’s so weird looking at them next to each other. This is their uncle, but he is barely older than them. They are growing to grow up more like siblings than uncle and nieces. It’s going to be a Gregor, Halley and Justin situation. They want him to call them aunt and uncle but he won’t do it."

ga who was packing the baby items away suddenly said, "I am actually beginning to think that it’s the sign for your father and I to stop having children. We don’t want to muddle up the family tree any further."

She and Dorian had been discussing it lately at length. It was not concluded but all signs pointed to Junior Su as most were calling him being their last child.

"Hallelujah." Carolyn shouted and she raised her hands.

This was the best news she had heard all day and when their brothers heard about it, they would be equally excited.

Her unnecessary celebration woke the children up and they started crying which resulted in three people glaring at her.

Scarlet sighed and abandoned what was left of her chilli. She pointed to the two babies that were closest to Carolyn and said, "You woke them up so start soothing them. You know what they say, do the cri and do the ti."
