Scarlet anwhile was being consoled by Severus. "Don’t worry Ethes is not careless or foolish. There are no children in there."
Not that his assurance made her feel any better because at the end of the day, the deities had hijacked her party for so reason.
Things went downhill pretty quickly from there as the god of deceit and chaos popped in. Suddenly, balloons were being popped, people were challenging each other to fights and soone was streaking inside the castle.
The streaker was Lord Faridon and he was running around in his birthday suit. Scarlet hunted him down quickly and found him attempting slumped over in a bathroom, puking his guts out.
The man was a duke, a whole duke for fucks sake!!! What if soone recorded him and shared the footage on star net. When these people woke up tomorrow what thoughts would they have on their behavior?
Lord Faridon giggled and burped. The stench of stale wine and cheese ca from his mouth.
"Grab him." Scarlet told Severus.
She had many empty rooms in the castle and from now on, all trouble makers would be locked up for the ti being.
Severus tossed him inside one of the rooms which had been arranged for the children to sleep over. It had soft mattresses and blankets.
She lit so sage and put it high above in the window and added herbs that would put anyone in the room to sleep.
"Find all the drunk ones, stupid ones, wild ones, and just anybody causing chaos. Find them and toss them in here." she told Severus.
She left to find Esong and check on Justin. Hopefully, this madness had not overwheld them.
On the way to find Esong, she walked past Cecily who appeared to be troubled. But Scarlet had troubles of her own and Cecily’s would have to wait.
Cecily on the other hand watched Scarlet disappear and then she went into the kitchen and locked it. The person she had been looking for was inside the kitchen.
All the kitchens in the castle had been closed and only mbers of the family or staff could enter.
"What do you think you are doing? she asked the other in an angry voice.
The one she was questioning was Emory who was startled.
"Mother," she answered in an unsure voice.
Cecily was not in the mood to hear Emory’s coquettish calls. "What do you think you are doing?"
"I am confused mother, what have I done?" she asked.
"You thought that nobody would notice that you brought two of your nieces here to chase after the Teranova prince. I will ask you again Emory, what do you think you are doing?" she asked in a raised voice.
The two girls from the Oleanor family had been panting after the white haired prince ever since the party started. They were like dogs in heat, sticking to him like glue even when he was trying to have a conversation with the emperor.
Not only was it shaming for them as a family, it was an embarrassnt for Scarlet, the host of the party who invited the prince.
"Get rid of them or I will have them stripped and thrown out like common pleasure house workers." Cecily told him.
Emory gulped and grabbed Cecily’s arm with desperation in her eyes.
"Mother, please don’t do that."
Cecily was not the kind of woman who said what she did not an. If she said that she would be throwing her nieces out, she ant it. Emory was determined to explain and win Cecily over to her side.
"Mother, I am doing it for the family. I overheard the other two talking and they said Teranova is more developed than our empire. A marriage alliance will be good for both empires."
Cecily ripped her hand out of Emory’s grip and asked her. "Don’t you have a daughter? If you care so much about the empire or the family then why not try to match him up with Emily?" She looked at her with so much disappointnt in her eyes. "Are you looking out for the Wu family or your Oleanor family?"
"Mother.." Emory called out loudly and shook her head.
"Emory, the Su’s have just started tolerating you. The prince is not here because he knows our families. He is here as Scarlet’s guest. If you do sothing that makes him uncomfortable and word gets back to her all the little good will which you have accumulated will be undone."
"Mother..." Emory opened her mouth and called Cecily in a soft voice.
Cecily stared at her coldly and said, "I have always turned a blind eye to how your Oleanor family flaunts the Wu family na to enrich themselves but there are so things I will not turn a blind eye to. Put those girls in line or I will do as I say."
She turned around, opened the door and walked out of the kitchen. She had said what was important and if Emory failed to adhere to her commands, she would take things into her own hands.
Hopefully, the emperor had not been irked by the shaless behavior of those girls and neither had the Teronavan prince.
On her way out, she bumped into ga who was carrying a platter of fruit kebabs.
"Lady Su," she said, in surprise.
Why was she carrying the food when they had all those servants and robot butlers?
"Why are you carrying those? Are we serving the guests already?"
ga nodded. "I am helping Scarlet cater to the emperor, he just took her hostage in one of the sun rooms."
"Aah, he said he wanted to speak to her after he arrived. This should be their first face to face since the....." Cecily broke off.
She was about to say since the wedding but recalled that Scarlet and Esong never had a wedding. They simply signed a few papers and Esong disappeared on a secret mission.
"What can I do to help you?" she asked ga.
ga pointed back and said, "I left the frozen yogurt bars behind with Coral in the second kitchen and the starter snacks too."
"I will get them, don’t worry." Cecily volunteered.
ga hurried off to the sun room where the emperor was waiting impatiently for the snacks while holding his own private party.
In truth, it was less chaotic in here and a lot more quiet as if it was a whole separate wing of the castle. Those inside could still see the outrageous view outside, like the gushing waterfall whose beginning was sowhere in the clouds. It fell into a lake that now occupied the space that had been designated as a grassland for the animals in the castle to play around.
Sohow, in only that area, the sun was shining, club music was playing and those around where dancing or swimming.
"I must confess that this is not what I expected when you said a children’s party." the emperor told Scarlet.
" too." she answered in an exhausted voice.
