Morning ca after a turbulent night which kept more than a few officials awake. Most of them headed ho to catch up on so much needed rest but for so like Scarlet, there was no rest. Despite the events that occurred in the night, she intended to celebrate her son’s birthday.
She and her available siblings and other mbers of the family decorated the palace in the night and cooked up a feast. The rain did not stop however and the bouncing castles and other fun activities were moved indoors.
Currently, the Su sisters were in the kitchen preparing the last foods for the party. Well__, so were cooking while others were tasting what had been cooked.
Fey and Halley were the two who were tasting while Scarlet, Carolyn, three of her maids and two robot butlers cooked. Fey had a drone cara which she was controlling and using to record all of Scarlet’s hard work.
"What are these called again?’ she zood in on a very big bowl that was being filled with a snack.
"Tater tots." Scarlet answered.
"We have guests." Cecily strolled into the kitchen and announced. She ca to a halt close to the entrance of the kitchen blocking the guests from following her inside.
Scarlet shot her a very confused glance. The city was not yet open and it six o’clock. It was too soon for guests to arrive because the celebrations were to start at ten.
A familiar face peeped from behind Cecily. "We ca early because we want to help."
"Ezrah!!!" she said in shock.
The female grim reaper had actually co. She was not alone, Hawk and Frost had co as well. Maddox was not with them although she had invited her.
"Did you forget that you invited us?" Ezrah asked her.
She dusted her hands off and smiled at her friends. "Of course not, how can I forget? I just didn’t think you would actually co?"
"And miss the opportunity to see your husband, no way." Ezrah ca close and whispered to her.
They both cackled because it was no secret in the underworld that Scarlet loved her human mate so much. Many reapers were actually curious about Esong for that reason.
Ezrah wrapped her hands around Scarlet and hugged her from the back.
"You sll good." she whispered to her.
"I sll like food." Scarlet answered her and she slapped her hands away. She was too busy to play around right now.
It was amazing however to have her friends here. Real friends who knew so of her secrets.
"Wow, you have a beautiful ho." Frost said.
Hawk nodded. "It’s got a familiar feeling." he added.
He could sense a spirituality in the air, and a little coldness that reminded him of the underworld. Her world was also rather advanced, better than his. In terms of comparison to developnt among them, Frost’s world was the only one which could compare.
He looked at white haired reaper and saw him reached his hand into a bowl of so ready food.
"This dummy!" he thought. Didn’t he know the rules when soone was visiting another person’s ho?
"Ahem" Cecily cleared her throat.
Scarlet looked her way and noticed the quizzical and expectant look on her face.
"Introductions dear." she said.
"Yeah, introductions." Fey said as well.
Next to her was Halley who was staring wide eyed at Frost. Whether it was his pale skin or snow white hair, Scarlet couldn’t tell what had caught Halley’s eye.
"These are my friends from another planet." Scarlet said. "This is Ezrah, Hawk and Frost."
The grim reapers looked around and greeted those in the room. After the greetings wee exchanged, Scarlet told them to find seats and they would be served sothing to eat.
Funnily, Halley trotted after Frost and stared at him with childish curiosity.
He raised his hand and ford a few snow flakes in the air. He turned them into little snow n and won, and they run around in circles.
The little girl giggled, absolutely fascinated and by this new kind of magic which she had never seen before. She was not the only one, the other adults in the room were curious as well.
"Which planet are you from Mr. Frost?" Cecily asked curiously.
She had many questions on her mind. The very first being, what kind of ntal strength created snow out of nowhere? The second was how had Scarlet t them?
"Teranova." Frost answered.
"And he is a whole prince." Hawk said, laughing softly.
"Oh!" Cecily gasped.
Scarlet did not say it out loud but she was surprised as well because Frost had never shared this with her. He talked about his world and showed her pictures occasionally but never ntioned his status.
In a manner of seconds, Cecily, Carolyn, Fey and the others arranged themselves and lowered their hands politely. It was standard practice in the Sun star empire to welco other royals respectfully.
"Please pardon us, we had no idea that we had royalty in our midst." Cecily said.
If they had known, she would have contacted the emperor the mont he walked into the castle. How had they landed on the Blue star without raising a fuss? Where were his guards?
Frost who was shooting daggers at Hawk smiled and shook his head.
"Please, let’s do away with the formalities." he said, "I am here as Scarlet’s guest. And from what I have heard, this is a royal house as well. It is always an honor to et fellow royals and learn new cultures."
"I hope your journey to our planet was not unpleasant. It can be smooth or rough depending on where you land." Cecily told him.
Her voice had an interrogative quality about it. It was nothing new to Frost as a prince. People usually talked like that around him, trying to pull answers out of him unawares.
"They landed outside the shields, in an unoccupied land. I let them through the shield personally, Alex did actually." Scarlet quickly filled in that gap.
In reality, they just teleported here because she had invited them into her ho and onto her world.
Cecily appeared unconvinced, and she doubted the story. If they landed that far out, how did they reach here? Did they walk or fly?
She had t them in the lobby downstairs and the guards had already cleared them.
"Oh, we brought gifts for the birthday boy." An unbothered Ezrah squealed. She could not wait to carry the little one and pinch his cheeks as she had been desiring to do ever since Scarlet showed him a picture.
The small silver haired boy with his big gray eyes was really cute and adorable. "Scarlet, where is the baby, my godson?"
