The ones she was asking were just as clueless as she was on this issue. She decided to elaborate on the matters concerning Ramslin.
"To be honest, Severus told that he is interested in partnering with . Apparently he is waiting for my husband’s human life to end and then he will swoop in and try to woo ."
"That’s not sothing new." Carnelia told her.
Reapers did it all the ti, male or female. They were immortal beings so they had all the ti in the world to wait for those they were interested in.
To her ears, this did not sound dangerous. Foolish yes but danger, no.
And she only thought that it was foolish because there were many other impressive male reapers who stood a chance with Scarlet before Ramslin. Heck, even Tridon with his promiscuous ways would make a better partner for her than Ramslin.
Nyx was at the top of her list however and other unpaired generals of the underworld closely followed.
Scarlet did not know but Carnelia was already shipping her with the male reaper.
"Unless he decides not to wait and plays a few tricks which will leave your husband dead or incapacitated in so way. It’s the not first ti sothing like that would be happening."
This was said by Ruby who was standing behind Scarlet.
Imdiately, her words reminded Scarlet of the day when Lanta said grim reapers were like screws. They could pop sotis, and do bad things.
Her green fla made an appearance, engulfing her entire body. If Ramslin dared to lay even one slimy finger of his on Esong, the underworld would have one less reaper.
"In that case, I will do exactly as Tridon said, if he takes one wrong step, I will be waiting for him."
She already thought of him as a creep for peeping in on them on the grey star when they were having sex. And he was a betrayer in her books despite his excuse that Severus had refused him to approach her.
She did not like him. If he disappeared soday, she would be okay with it.
"Calm down and put your flas away." Lythia said to her and urged her to remain calm. Whatever it was, she was not alone. They were all available to protect her with every ability they had.
"Well Tridon cannot touch you now that everyone knows he paid you a visit. If he had whisked you away secretly he would have been able to hide you for a day or two but now his hands are tied down.
We will keep a close eye on Ramslin as well. If he is a threat we will transfer him to another world and if he tries to do sothing which is against the code of ethics grim reapers must follow, we will erase him."
She assured her.
Scarlet still felt the need to express herself articulately so that if sothing happened, nobody accused her of being extre.
She was tired of playing damsel in distress in the real world and the underworld. "Whether it’s your way or mine, I will not hesitate to protect myself and my family."
She looked at the tattoo of the bracelet of kin which limited the usage of her flas. It was a handcuff, a brick tied to her ankle and weighing her down.
"This needs to go." she turned her eyes to the deities and said.
"Scarlet..."
"No," she cut Lythia off. "Everyday so of kind of danger approaches one after another. This fla that you want to hide, Tridon already knows about it.
Soon, other gods will find out and then they will co looking to see how it works, where I got it from, or maybe even how to take it back from . You said it yourself, it’s the power of a god and none of you knows which one.
It will be challenging enough to defend myself but what about the children? My job will be six tis harder when they co along.
I need every advantage I can get and this fla is the biggest advantage I have. Don’t think I haven’t noticed that even you guys are wary of it.
If it can make a god weary, then it must be more powerful than you are letting on. So, the handcuffs need to go."
Just as they were always watching her, she was always watching them as well. Studying and observing as she wheedled and acted coquettishly around them.
They were keeping secrets from her, of that she was aware and she would not pry their mouths open. It was not as if she was capable of doing it anyway.
One of the few things she had noticed was their fear of the green fla. They were always quick to stop her from using it and if she ca close to them with it, they would step back or float away.
"We are not afraid of it." Carnelia heaved a sigh.
They always knew that Scarlet was a sharp one, apparently she was to sharp for her own good.
"We just don’t want to put it’s power to the test. Everything that you have touched with that fla with the intention of sucking energy from, you have successfully done. How do we know that it can’t affect us the sa way?" she questioned.
Just because they were immortal beings did not an they didn’t have worries.
"All the more reason why the bracelet needs to go." Scarlet told her.
Carnelia and Lythia shared a look of disagreent but their lips remained sealed. She could tell that they were speaking to each other, arguing by the looks in their eyes and the movents of their heads.
"Scarlet, you need to co back, now." she heard Flan’s voice reaching out to her.
"What’s wrong? Did anyone get injured? Is it Justin?" she asked.
"No, everyone is fine here but Tridon’s ss and Lythia’s darkness have created problems, as expected. I am afraid you will have a few fresh souls to reap if you don’t make it back quickly."
My ss too, Scarlet thought. Tridon and the other gods had been there because of her.
It was ti to go back to the real world and fix things.
"I will give you guys ti to think about it. I will be open about this however, I am going to search for a way of removing it myself if you don’t help .
I will not be a sitting duck. The fact that you don’t know where the god of wisdom is or what happened one hundred years ago proves that you don’t always have answers to everything and eyes everywhere.
We should all error on the side of caution and be proactive instead of waiting for danger to strike and then we lose our minds like headless chicken.
That said, thank you for coming to my aid today and now I must go clean up the ss left behind."
She teleported away imdiately.
