They had not finishing digesting Adler’s news about his relationship with Arya and Fey was adding oil to the fire.
Her little sister, it seed had made up her mind about Lloyd and she was determined to see it through.
Scarlet looked at her parents and wondered if they were going to be calm about this or was family breakfast about to be ended before it even started.
Although, knowing her mother, her temper would not start flying around all these visitors. She would stew and after the guests left, she would blow up like a bomb.
"Sit down Fey." Their mother said. "You too, Mr. Lloyd."
"Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Su. I apologize for my presence being sprung on you like this. I can assure you that this is not how i intended to et you initially." Lloyd bowed his head politely as he made the apology.
"Don’t worry, I know how my headstrong my daughter can be. She probably dragged you here against your will." Dorian answered.
He and ga looked at Fey with a gaze that said, ’we are going to have words later young lady.’
"I hope you don’t mind that I brought you a eting gift." Lloyd had a storage bracelet on his arm.
From it, he removed the gifts he had brought and the maids carried them away.
Scarlet curiously craned her neck as the maids were leaving. She wondered what sort of gifts Lloyd had brought.
Was it snacks? That was his line of business after all.
Esong turned her head back to the table slowly.
Lloyd, it seed, was facing them now. He bowed before Markay and then did the sa before Esong and Scarlet.
"Your highness, the governors. It is an honor to be in your presence." He said, still very much polite.
Markay nodded, so did Esong while Scarlet smiled at him.
They had t via video to discuss business so they were not strange to one another.
Fey pulled him to sit down to next to her and ga sighed.
The younger children arrived last, taking seats one by one as they laughed. Their arrival brought so change to the room as it made things lighter in a way.
"Great, everyone’s here so we can eat." Scarlet said happily. She rubbed her hands as she thought about those crispy hash browns and bacon which she could not wait to dig into.
"Not everyone is here." Dorian told her.
"Mm, wait for a minute." ga waited.
Scarlet and her siblings looked around the table, counting just to ascertain that they were all present. Even Illa and Severus were here and they too were counted.
"Mother unless you guys have another child that we do not know about, this is all of us."
Adler spoke up.
He shared the thought which was on the mind of every Su sibling here.
"Maybe Elroy is bringing a date. I heard that captain Jacks has been attending a lot of hockey matches lately." Beord said and he chuckled.
Beord was like a dog with a bone when it ca to Elroy and captain jacks little scandalous accident. Apparently one night in the club, when Elroy was drunk the two had sohow locked lips accidentally.
The next day, captain Jacks paid a visit to Elroy at the hockey field to explain and the two got into a fight. After the fight, Jacks made it a point to attend each of Elroy’s matches wearing a jersey with his picture and cheering him on loudly to Elroy’s greatest ire.
The whole thing was a a nightmare to Elroy and a great source of entertainnt to the hockey fans.
Elroy raised his right hand up and gave Beord the middle finger.
"Seriously!!" ga said, exasperated. "We have guests."
"He started it." Elroy mumbled.
Beord shrugged, giving off an ’I don’t care attitude.’ He even looked at Lanta and smiled.
ga glared at Scarlet. This was her fault for teaching her older siblings how to insult soone with that dastardly middle finger.
"The Wu’s are joining us today and I will not have you all behaving in such a way. Please try to be on your best behavior." ga sent all of her children a warning glance.
Scarlet missed the warning glance because she was already glaring at Esong.
The cats had already told her that Emory was in the castle.
Esong shook his head, protesting his innocence with his eyes. He really hadn’t known about this otherwise he would have given her a heads up.
"I think the ship on our best behavior around the Wu’s has already sailed." Fey whispered to Carolyn.
The two snickered and ga glared at them. After glaring, she looked at their guests and smiled.
Carolyn was thinking to herself that their mother had already engaged in a fight with Emory Wu while the rest of them cheered her on. No matter how ladylike she wanted to appear, the boat on best behavior of the Su’s had sailed.
"So, is this your girlfriend Beord?" Adler asked.
He like the others who arrived late had noticed Lanta who was quietly sitting besides Beord.
Beord proudly bead and nodded. He put his right arm around Lanta’s shoulder.
"This is Lanta, my girlfriend." he told everyone because he looked at them all.
He looked at Lanta and said, "Babe these are my siblings. That’s Adler, he is like the dad, that’s Carolyn the overly protective one, Scarlet the wise one."
"We have t." Scarlet said.
"Oh." Beord said, slightly confused. None of them had ntioned having t before. "That’s aweso I guess. Anyway, that’s Elroy, the hot headed one."
Again, Elroy gave Beord the middle finger.
ga sighed, and closed her eyes. Why did the children refuse to behave?
"That’s Fey, the sweet one, Gregor the mischievous one, Halley the cutest one and Illa, the baby."
Halley giggled, happy that she was the cute one. Gregor made the peace sign, also taught to him by Scarlet.
All of them in the anti smiled at Lanta and told her how happy they were to et her.
This was extended to Lloyd as well and then Arya, even though everyone already knew who she was.
Through all this, Scarlet and Lanta had not stopped trading threatening looks. The others had not noticed, but Esong did.
"What’s wrong?" he leaned down and whispered to Scarlet.
Scarlet whispered back, "She is too pretty, I don’t trust her."
Confused, Esong looked at Lanta and then he looked at his wife. How was being pretty a cause of mistrust?
"Babe, I am so confused right now." he whispered to her.
"No more whispering at the breakfast table." Dorian said loudly.
Scarlet and Esong lifted their heads and smiled. With guests around, more and more rules were being added to the family breakfast.
"But you and mummy whisper all the ti." Halley chid in with a fact.
"That’s true." Gregor concurred.
"It’s a new rule." Dorian declared.
Scarlet in the anti had already found a way around the rule. Now whispering, sure but nobody said anything about no texting.
At that mont, the Wu’s arrived, led by their patriarch Etienne Wu.
