"Where is my husband?" Scarlet asked Ian, who was standing closest to her. They were boarding the space ship, setting out to the Grey star.

The program had been changed from a minor hourly visit to a planned night stay at the Eco resort because the cha warriors had to inspect a potential problem area. No details had been given to Scarlet other than that.

Ian seed unsure, when he looked at her. "I don’t really know."

"You don’t know the whereabouts of your friend? Sohow I find that hard to believe."

Their little group was very close, they were like different parts of one body. It was often difficult to see one of them on their own unless they were in their individual hos.

She gave Ian a look that was probing, and pushed her face forward slightly. She had this strong feeling that Esong was avoiding her.

He had not slept at ho the previous night and all her texts to him were answered in the most minimal way possible.

Her: [You won’t believe it but Beord is dead serious about this mysterious girlfriend of his. If I say that I don’t like her I could end up being the villain in their love story.]

Him: [Ha-ha]

Her: [He is bringing her to Saturday breakfast!!!! crazy. Crazy face ]

Him: [Okay.]

Her: [My feet hurt and Severus stole my kung pao chicken, hubby help. Sad face emoji, sad face emoji]

Her: [I have a conference call with minister Godiver, minister Chovin and deputy Talen. Can I throw myself off the building?]

Him: [No]

"I will find him myself." she told him.

She could easily track him wherever he was hiding and then he would explain himself.

"Don’t be silly, you are the lady governor we should be the ones running such errands for you. Co on, sit down and I will track him down for you."

Seemingly nervous, Ian attempted to lead her to the chair which was reserved for her always on Esong’s ship.

She slapped away his hand which was politely pointing her to where she should be sitting.

"I have found him."

"How?" Ian blurted.

As quickly as that question ca out of his mouth, so did his feet turn around and aid him in disappearing from her presence.

"Hmph," Scarlet smirked as she watched his escape.

She located her husband, he was in the cargo storage area, sleeping on top of a few luggage pods with his eyes closed. He had the new Varakas helt on his head.

It was lighter, thin and silver in color. It settled over his head like a glove, stopping below his eyes.

He was listening to music- she could tell because his right foot was tapping down on the pod slowly.

"Prepare for lift off. Jovi, the ship’s AI brain announced.

Scarlet launched herself on top of the luggage pod next to his and it strapped her in automatically. The door to the cargo hold closed and the ship started rising smoothly.

A minute later, Jovi was heard again, "Lift off successful, have a safe flight."

Scarlet raised her body, keeping the straps on and she slapped Esong on the stomach. This ti round, she added extra power in the slap than usual.

Esong sat up imdiately with one hand clenching over his abdon.

"Ah, ah, aww, Scarlet, really!!"

He complained as the helt retreated automatically from his face. It was fascinating to watch because it moved like it had a life of it’s own. Was it made of nanites as well or sothing else?

It was fascinating to watch, and really impressive. How did a human mind even co up with sothing like this?

"The blue prints to the self helt are in a compartnt in the bracelet mistress." In her mind, she heard Alex her AI share a particularly surprising piece of information.

Wow, how was that possible?

Was soone in Varakas industries an actual Varakas? Should she share this with Lora?

She knew that Lora had gone to the capital to receive certification as a female cha warrior but in reality, she was there to deal with surviving enemies of her family and take back what was stolen from them.

Esong waved a hand in her face because she looked distracted and asked, "Did you have to hit so hard?"

"Count yourself lucky that it’s just as slap and not a punch. Where did you spend the night?" she replied.

Cocking his head, Esong observed her face because he could hear a slight accusation within her voice.

"At the association, where else would I be if I am not ho?" he answered, his tone obvious as could be.

She pursed her her lips. He was back for only a week and yet he chose to sleep at his workplace even though there was no urgency.

Studying her, he asked, "Are you doubting ?"

Turning her face to the right, Scarlet moved her mouth in circles and kept silent.

No answer. Esong was puzzled, it seed that his wife really had doubts about where he spent the night. Was this going to escalate into another fight?

Dammit, I really shouldn’t have drunk so much and slept off. He had been planning to return early to the castle so that they could have breakfast together.

Scarlet suddenly turned her head back to face him.

"Do you know how many pleasure houses are now on the Blue star?"

The question ca out of nowhere. Esong certainly didn’t expect it and he had no answer to it. He had a wife, one he was sure that he loved so why go to a pleasure house?

What could they give him that she could not?

He shook his head, and hoped that this would be the end of the subject.

"Six, the answer is six." she replied.

"Uhm....okay." he said, unsurely.

"When a husband spends a night out without informing his wife about where he will be, she is bound to have a few unsavory thoughts. Where is he? Who is he spending the night with? Why isn’t he ho for breakfast?

Why is he not picking up my calls after sleeping out for a whole night? Why are his replies to my ssages short and unexpressive? What exactly happened in the night?"

She looked him in the eye and asked, "Do you have sothing to tell ? Why are you avoiding ?"
