The alliance and trade eting between the three empires ended sooner than Scarlet expected. The treaties were signed as early as the morning following the dinner and everyone set off for their ho planets imdiately.
For Scarlet, it was a joy to be able to return ho quickly, with her pregnancy, ho on the Blue star and the underworld were the safest places.
Not everyone however was happy about the quickness with which the treaties were signed.
Those who had their own goals for joining the delegates were displeased that their plans had been cut short.
One such person was minister Godiver whose plan had been to squeeze a few personal benefits out of the Xenoans or Zordins in secret.
Another such person was general Patterson whose intention it was to sohow show off his prowess and impress the emperor.
Last on the list was captain Atlas of the RGB, who was completely thrown off by the abrupt ending to this eting. He too had not accomplished his aim of seducing Scarlet.
The way he was looking at her had gone from charming shy smiles to intense hot glares.
All three individuals blad Scarlet in their hearts. If only she had not brought out that rice during dining hour!!!
The high lord’s tongue had been so pleased that he suddenly couldn’t wait to import more pleasant foods from the Sun star.
As for the Xenoans, they were completely useless because their princess was already on a friendly basis with Scarlet. In their minds, the agreents had been signed and sealed before the eting even started.
"You are looking at her as if you hate her." One of the RGB officers who ca with Atlas told him. "Your real personality is beginning to show through the cracks."
Captain Atlas looked down and he looked up again, on his face was a different look. It was like he just morphed and changed appearances.
He was back to smiling charmingly with devilish intent.
"What are you talking about? How can I glare at the Blue star’s epito of beauty?"
His collegue sneered beneath the shield on his head.
What a hypocrite, liar and bastard you are, he thought.
"If general Esong’s n hear you say this I am afraid your spine might be broken by the ti we land.
Even the emperor will support them in this case. I think it slips your mind that she is a mber of the royal family.
I sure do hope you think before you act."
Atlas hated unwarranted advises like this and he couldn’t stand people that told him what to do. So what if she was married into the royal family? She was still a woman after all, and he understood won better than most n.
Besides, with a husband who was always gone from one campaign to another how could she be satisfied sexually?
This was another gap that he always exploited and succeeded in.
He looked in Scarlet’s direction and stood up, it was ti to take the first step. He would simply ntion his na and hold her hand.
That would have to be enough for now, but when he got a break, he would visit the Blue star and the ga of seduction would begin.
Scarlet was playing a card ga with Fey, Adler and governor Lancaster happily. They were even engaging in friendly betting, using chips as currency.
All four people were either aware of the new intruder and just didn’t care or they were enjoying the ga so much that they did not see him coming.
They were surrounded by cha warriors and her personal body guards after all so safety was covered.
Atlas, had to clear his throat two tis to get them all to notice him. Even when they did, he was acknowledged with simple head nods and their attention went back to the ga.
"I am sorry for intruding on your ga but I was watching you all play from a distance and I am fascinated.
Can I join in by any chance?" Atlas pretended that their dismissive attitude towards him did not affect him.
Adler looked up first stoically and replied, "We have enough players."
When he looked up, Scarlet and Fey exchanged two cards.
Adler gasped and glared at them with accusing eyes.
"I saw that, you two little cheaters I definitely saw that." He yelled but not so loudly to be called rowdy.
"You saw nothing." Scarlet deadpanned.
"He needs to get his eyes checked." Fey added.
Adler looked at Lancaster who was hiding his lips behind his cards. The corners of his lips however were pointy, telling Adler that he was smiling.
"Lancaster, buddy." He said slowly.
"My eyes have been on my cards the entire ti." Lancaster claid.
Adler rolled his eyes in disbelief as the guards and cha warriors too looked away from him.
This was a conspiracy to steal all of his chips.
Captain Atlas, feeling slighted by the way they responded to him because of a stupid ga clenched his fists while maintaining a smile on his face and went another way with a new tactic, ingratiating himself.
"I could tell you what I saw if you let join the ga." He told Adler.
"No thank you." Adler replied. "Captain, the RGB frowns on it’s officers fraternising with royalty. We don’t want anyone to accuse my sister here of trying to win you over."
Lancaster spread his arm around the table and said to Atlas, "We are also gambling here. RGB officers are not allowed to gamble, it’s rule 811CH in their rule book."
He smiled and added, "My brother is a high commissioner in your organisation. I was forced to morise all your rules so that I do not cause him sha."
"Bye captain." Scarlet smiled and waved her hand slowly, with a deeply satisfied look on her face.
Who knew tha the rules of the RGB alone could be helpful in keeping this leech away?
Should I whip him with my golden rope? He needs a touch of repentance in his life for all the won he had hard.
"Governor Scarlet..." like a leech determined to hold on, captain Atlas stayed in place and softened his voice.
Scarlet squealed and jumped up abruptly. "My hubby is calling, my sweet sweet hubby, the only handso man in the world." She sung as she brushed past Atlas and rushed to her private cabin.
She accepted the hologram call and looked at Esong, her hubby.
"Oh no, I left my cards open." She wailed.
"Hello to you too gorgeous." Esong answered with that charming smile of his.
Scarlet forgot her cards and poked the hologram. "Now this is what we call a charming smile. Not that evil alligator like grin on the face of that womanising idiot."
"Did Atlas bother you?" He asked her.
"You called in the nick of ti. If I stayed near him any longer I was going to whip him. He tried to join our ga and when we said no he still stayed."
She humphed unhappily and went on to describe in detail all that happened.
"Why is Lancaster sitting with you?" Esong asked suddenly with a frown.
She rolled her eyes and answered, "Boy you are just one big ball of jealousy today aren’t you?"
She was certain that his cha warriors had been sending him pictures and they told him when Atlas ca close to her.
But what could she do, she loved this big ball of jealousy.
She stayed in the cabin for two hours, talking to her sweet hubby.
