Even though her body was locked in one place and she could not move, her mouth still worked.
"What are you doing?" She asked her. "Stop this."
Her abdon felt hot as if the goddess was injecting fire into it and it was making her very uncomfortable. She could feel sothing moving in her stomach, and that freaked her out even more.
Her polite plea did not work which made Scarlet angry. Just because she was a deity did not give her the right to ss around with her body as she pleaded.
"Stop it." She yelled and her body lit up, covered entirely in green flas and she aid thrm at Carnelia. This forced a surprised Carnelia to let go of her.
Severus showed up at that sa mont and teleported Scarlet away, taking her to the underworld and into Lythia’s palace.
"Lythiaaa" he growled her na booming with rage imdiately.
Other reapers curiously looked to see who was very rude to call the na of the palace owner like that. When they saw who it was, they looked away and went about their business.
That uncontrollable hound and his unpredictable partner, as always they were the ones to cause a ruckus. Scarlet had gained herself a reputation in the underworld for thinking outside the box. So called it unconventional, crazy and others called it fresh but most simply wondered how far an attitude like that would take her.
"Hey buddies.." Frost approached them with a smile and a wave of his hand.
"Get lost ice." Severus growled at him.
Stopping his movent, Frost blinked a few tis and wondered why the hell hound was so grouchy. He had even referred to him by the wrong na, who the heck was ice?
"What’s wrong Scarlet?" He asked with slight worry in his voice when he noticed a sweaty, pale looking Scarlet. Was she sick? Wait, did grim reapers like them fall sick? He asked himself. Whether they did or not, in this mont she looked to be sick and he was concerned for her as a friend.
"Move it along." Severus told Frost harshly. He put his paw on Scarlet and blinked, vanishing away suddenly. Frost’s hand which was raised in the air and had been about to touch Scarlet’s arm remained hanging in the air.
"Hey," he whined. Why was that arrogant hound so rude? He was simply checking on his friend.
"Why bother with them? They do as they please all the ti. Who else cos and goes in this palace like they do?" Soone told Frost. "We have a mission to deliver these flowers to Dion’s pharmacy, so let’s go."
Scarlet found herself in the middle of Lythia’s fruit gardens, a place she had been to before. It was where her spring sat, and she saw Lythia relaxing inside the large spring as if she was in a jacuzzi.
What caught her eye first was the waterfall which had no visible fall. It was like the water was falling from the clouds themselves. No wonder deities spring water was so magical, she thought.
Little animals were playing in the water and two rmaids were swimming around Lythia. Never having seen a rmaid before, Scarlet wondered if her eyes were deceiving her.
I must be losing my mind, maybe I inhaled too much smoke from that fire, Scarlet thought. "Then again, everything is possible in this world."
"Why are you screaming my na as if I owe you a life thirty one?" Lythia did not speak with her mouth but both Scarlet and Severus heard her voice in the air all around them.
"What has Carnelia done to my reaper?" Severus growled the question out.
Lythia suddenly appeared in front of Scarlet and looked at her curiously from head to toe. Physically she was not injured which ant nothing at all to reapers since they could abandon one human body for another if the need arose.
She placed her hand on Scarlet’s abdon, just as Carnelia had done.
This made Scarlet uncomfortable but Lythia’s touch was not forceful and it did not make her as wary as Carnelia’s had done.
"Phew, they are okay." Lythia said, with a sigh.
Confused, Scarlet wondered who they were that Lythia was referring to. "What are you referring to?"
Why were they all going for her stomach? The situation was making her uncomfortable and the not knowing was even worse because it made her conjure up many possible scenarios. None was good in her mind.
The old deity appeared too, looking at Scarlet with concern which was unusual.
"You called ." He said to Lythia.
"Our sister paid her a visit and planted a seed. One has been claid." Lythia said to the old deity.
The old deity roared to the sky and yelled like thunder, "Dammit Carnelia I will twist your hands for this."
"You should have told , I have every right to know." Carnelia’s voice ca from the sky.
Scarlet and Severus looked up but they could not see her. She did not seem to be too eager to confront Lythia and the old deity, directly.
"And by the way, another thing you kept away from is her green fla. Ha! a reaper that is walking around with not just any power but the reserve power of a deity, how interesting. Should I just advertise this to everyone? I would like to see how things will work out between our realm and other realms when this news cos out. Which one of you gave her the fla? I can now see why her soul cultivation is much higher than that of others who started at around the sa ti she did.
That’s because she can take the cultivation of other reapers for herself. Tell sothing sister, how many reapers has she sucked dry to get to this point? At first, I thought she was an illegitimate and very much abominable child sired by you brother but no, she is much more special than that. A reaper that was touched by the god of luck, has the energy of a deity, and the protection of two more. You two have worked hard to hide her deeply but how much longer can you do it really?" Carnelia giggled as if the situation was truly amusing.
"She found it on her own and it chose her, don’t just assu things because your mind is too limited and always filled with unnecessary thoughts. She is also not greedy to go around taking power from her fellow reapers. Moreover, the bracelet of Kin stores all the energy of the soul eaters she refines and she delivers it to us. Now that you know why we are protecting her, you should understand why and choose whether to be with us or against us." Lythia responded with exhaustion in her voice.
Carnelia suddenly popped up out thin air and stood next to Severus who growled at her.
Carnelia waved her hand and shut Severus’s mouth with an invisible force. "Pipe down hound, we are all here because we have a secret we share and want to protect, like those flas and the children in her womb."
