Late at night, after Scarlet broke through to level four, Severus took a helt and logged into the virtual world to play gas. When Esong woke up in the night to pee, he noticed the dog snoring with a helt on his head. He simply shook his head and looked away, this was not the most bizarre thing he had ever seen after all. He had seen the dog do things far more disturbing than this.
Early in the morning, while it was still dark outside, he left to prepare his team of cha warriors to leave for the sky station. This was usually around the ti when space pirate activity was rampant.
As soon as he left, Severus woke Scarlet up forcefully.
"Whaaaaat!!" She groaned in whiny voice, kicking her feet in a tantrum throwing manner. "I already leveled up, please let sleep."
"No ti, Ramslin is waiting for you outside." He told her.
It took her five seconds to process his words and understand them. And when she did, she opened her eyes wide and sat upright. Why was Ramslin waiting for her? Whatever it was, she was very unhappy and she wanted him gone.
"Tell him to go away." She said unhappily.
"Don’t you want to test out your new strength?" He asked her. "He is taking you on a hunt which will be good for us. When did we last hunt for sothing strong. All these low level soul eaters are like tiny bugs. Let’s go hunt sothing worthy."
She was intrigued by the notion of hunting for sothing strong. It was true that her green fla burned hottest and her blood boiled most when she was fighting soul eaters that were stronger than she was.
She swallowed a pill as a precaution to ensure that she would be fully awake and alert.
"Let’s go." She told him.
Instantly, her deanor changed and she went from soft human to cold grim reaper. Her white night gown was magically replaced with a black dress and black cloak. The scythe appeared in her right hand and her grey eyes turned to gold.
She touched Severus’s head and telephoned outside the castle, going to the roof where Ramslin was waiting for her.
He was dressed in black as well, but a trouser and high neck shirt with a long black cloak.
"Woah." She said.
"I don’t know who gave the Lord the idea of a wardrobe change bit it’s genius. Look at , I am the most handso grim reaper." He turned around, speaking with arrogance and pride.
"Next ti I am wearing trousers too." She said.
"Great, this ans it will not be our last hunt together. I like the way you think hound." He told her.
"That is not what I said." She said.
"Let’s move, the sun will be out soon." Severus howled and said in a complainant tone.
"What are we hunting?"
"An escaped soul, follow ." Ramslin told them.
Grim reapers could follow each other’s energy, tracking the path that one of them had used to find each other.
It was not difficult for Scarlet and Severus to follow Ramslin who led them on a fast chase all the way to the rough plains of the Blue star, a place Scarlet had not yet been too.
"We have just covered a distance equal to a plane flying from one country to another." She said.
"Amazing, I know, it’s so aweso to be us." Ramslin said.
Then, he waved his hand in the air and an image appeared in a smoky haze. It was the image of a man and his date of death. From the details, the man had died ten years ago.
"He was an evil soul, and he escaped from hell two days ago. Of all places, he chose to co here and I have to drag him back to the underworld. Now, you must know that evil souls are different from soul eaters. They are aner, fully conscious and malicious."
"I have read up on in evil souls, all types including those that have been to hell. I know that they would do anything not to go back but at the sa ti, they cannot hide their evil nature. They lurk around looking for human beings that do evil and dwell in their bodies, whispering the most horrible thoughts and driving them to commit terrible acts. I am a good student Ramslin, you don’t need to give lessons." She spoke and shared her knowledge proudly.
He smiled at her, saying nothing for a while but simply staring into her eyes.
"Ram, call Ram." He said.
"That will make us look closer than we are, no thank you." She answered.
She was fine pretending to be his friend but so things could easily create misunderstandings.
Ramslin, like the perfect actor he was, placed a hand over his heart, pouted and said in a whiny voice, "You wound Scarlet, oh how deep you drive that dagger."
She rolled her eyes and asked him, "Are we hunting or not because I have a bed to get back to."
A noise made them both look up, and they saw seven chas flying in the air heading sowhere. It made Scarlet wonder what chas were doing all the way here, far from any of the cities in this isolated place.
"Are they going to the sa place we are?" She asked him.
"Maybe, I don’t know." He said.
Then, he teleported away and she followed him, running right behind Severus as she made the jumps through space.
They soon ca to a random place and stopped. Severus growled deeply and flas ca out of his mouth. Scarlet slled that Sulphur with a mixture of a horrible stench.
"Dead bodies." She whispered.
"And evil." Ramslin added.
They were standing in front of an old observation station of so kind because she could see large telescopes on ground, pointing upwards. It was built like a circular ring, three intertwined circular rings actually, a building design which was quite abnormal to her. The observation station looked abandoned and it was mostly silent all around. All the noise ca from the chas which were arriving to this sa place as well.
"I sll humans." Severus said.
"I see them too, inside the building." The ones she spoke about were not related to the newly arrived cha warriors. This part of the planet was not covered by the shield so anybody or anything could live and survive out here without the knowledge of anyone.
Ramslin threw sothing inside the building, and it released a red mist.
This mist was seen only by the reapers but not the cha warriors who were arming themselves and preparing to go into the building.
It was of no surprise to her that Esong was among these n, leading them and making gestures with his hands.
Like a moth to a fla, she floated closer to him to get a sneak peek at the details of his mission here.
Suddenly, he stood still, sniffed the air and turned his head in her direction. As if that was not unsettling, he looked in Ramslin’s direction as well.
Again, that freaky gaze as if he can tell that I am here, Scarlet thought.
"General, are we heading in now?" Ian asked. "Do you sense sothing?"
Esong’s fingers tapped against his sword slowly and he shook his head. "I don’t sense anything out here, let’s go." He commanded.
