The most urgent business which she had later on in the day was a general eting with the few ministers of the Blue star and so city hall officials or relevant parties in regards to the opening up of the blue star to tourists. Now that they had a beautiful finished hotel in the Blue city and another almost completed one in the city of London, it was ti to make money from tourism.
No one was more excited for this eting than minister Maurey because the evening of the day before they had opened up two new public parks, a new library, a very large mall and a movie theater. All of these were shared on the official page of the Blue star and many yearned to visit.
This eting was not just attended by Scarlet as the governor in charge of the Blue star. It was a big deal so even Esong, Captains Zorl and Mawang of the RGB and fire fighters, Mina’s boss Roul and the head of the GBCS on the Blue star.
Every departnt head, manager or director of any relevant departnt was there too. For the first ti ever since the governor’s castle was built, the eting hall was put to use. It was built like a concert hall, with one high platform with two large chairs and another section with chairs that were arranged in circular fashion, so moving up the further back one went while others stayed closer to the platform at the bottom.
Scarlet and Esong sat at the front, in the furthest large chairs from where they took in the view of the entire hall easily.
Behind them, her bodyguards stood on high alert keeping a sharp eye on the attendants of the eting and one hand on their weapons ready to spring into action should a threat to her arise.
She could easily see her brother’s Beord and Adler who sat close together as ministers for communication and defense, respectively. Her father sat on the fourth row with other departnt heads, and so did her mother. Fey and other secretaries who were hers to record that information which pertained to their own bosses and departnts sat in the very last rows.
Before the eting started, all sorts of chatter filled the room, with excited whispers echoing from one end to another all through the large hall. A eting this big had to be related to sothing very major and they could not wait to feast their ears on it.
"Order," The speaker, Mr. Blad who was standing at a podium in the center of the room called.
The chatter lessened but it did not die down, which caused Esong to frown. If these were cha warriors, one call to order and they all would have fallen in line.
"Order, the eting is about to comnce, let’s maintain calmness please." Blad said politely.
"Quiet." Esong bellowed imdiately after him.
Where Blad had failed, Esong succeeded in one try. Silence reined and all was as silent as grave yard in the pitch darkness of a cold night. Those with low ntal strength levels were even scared to breathe.
Blad lowered his head slightly in Esong’s direction in appreciation for his help and then he turned to face the others and said, "I officially welco you all Blue star officials in different capacities to the first general eting in the governor’s hall. It is of utmost importance that the discussion of this day be given your full attention. If you want to say sothing, please use the mini red amplifier on the armrest of your chairs. You are not allowed to talk over another person, if you wish to talk tap the blue bird icon on your the screen which is also on the armrest of your chairs. If I call your na, you can speak. Uhm, let’s start by hearing from one of the governors first."
Without hesitation, Scarlet opened her mouth and said, "Thank you all for coming this evening. I know that this eting is just a bit sudden and so of you were not initially on the list of attendees but your presence is absolutely necessary. We are going to be discussing the opening up of the Blue star to the rest of the empire."
As expected, so chatter, smiles, and an applause followed her words.
Only those who were quick to analyze and slow to react thought to themselves that she had said it was a discussion and not a done deal. So of the officers were suffering from a case of premature excitent.
"Silence." Esong barked.
They settled down as Scarlet smiled gratefully at Esong. She did not forget to warn him with her glance about his hand which was placed on hers. She would not put it past him to attempt sothing funny, not after his antics at the christmas baking tournant.
"We have decided that our star is finally ready to host tourists which is amazing news, however we cannot handle large volus of tourists at a ti. And we need to be prepared security wise because we will be opening up our planet to potential smugglers and criminals. You are all here so that we can share thoughts on so of the issues which will arise from this event and what we can do to make the tourism experience great for those who will be visiting."
She paused, and Esong took over after squeezing her hand lightly.
"In addition to this we will be opening up our schools and academies to attendance of children from other stars. The sa will be done for all employnt avenues that are lacking. Priority will not be given to just cha warriors and their families anymore because we have noticed a pattern of incompetence in so sectors as a result of this tradition. Basing off of this, these affairs are up for discussion. You can begin."
The officials first looked at each other, murmuring and whispering as they shared their opinions. So nudged each other using their hands, telling their mates who had mouthed their opinions on this issue a ti or two to start talking.
In the midst of this hesitation, Blad called out Captain Zorl’s na.
Esong scratched one of his eyebrows using his right hand and then put it over his mouth. Scarlet wondered if this was because of an irritation caused by captain Zorl.
"What paraters are you following before allowing the tourists in? Will they be allowed to share copies of their RGB secure background checks or will that be looked at as an invasion of privacy? Will we be following the laws of the capital when it cos to cris like smuggling? The firefighters have been given dogs to aid in their work but we at the RGB have been denied this privilege and dogs with sniffing capabilities will make our job easier especially with the incrent in our population. And what about chas, flying cars or devices of this nature. Will we be allowing them onto our planet since flying cars are not allowed? Lastly, the mall has only been open for a few hours but I have a case on my desk of six won who have reported being pricked by soone in crowded areas. Can the RGB be given ti to handle this case before allowing tourists in because the situation will beco worse when that happens."
