Editor: Henyee Translations

Feng Jue’s smile faded instantly. He pursed his lips and looked at Gu Yang with disappointnt. “Sister, I’m late.”

In the corner, Gu Pei lounged in his chair with a broad grin. “It’s not too late. Sister Jin just finished telling the lodramatic story of the Tong family.”

“Feng Jue, you ca to tell my sister this, right? There’s no need now; you can head back.”

Gu Jin, arms crossed, observed the scene with amusent. She was glad to have gotten the scoop on Tong Rao’s family secrets before Feng Jue.

When Tong Rao visited Tong Sinian and Tong Jiayin, there was surveillance in the interrogation room to protect both the suspects and the visitors, ensuring nothing went awry during their eting.

Feng Jue’s gaze turned icy as he looked at Gu Pei. He walked toward him with a smile. “Brother, we haven’t had a good sparring match in a while.”

Gu Pei straightened up and rushed to Gu Jin. “Sister Jin, help out!”

He knew Feng Jue would only bully him, even pretending to be innocent in front of their sister. While Gu Jin might not be on his side, he was certain she would back him up against Feng Jue.

Gu Jin shot Gu Pei a disdainful look before giving him a pat on the shoulder to send him on his way. She then raised an eyebrow at Feng Jue. “What’s the point of picking on a kid? If you want a match, you can spar with instead.”

Feng Jue glanced at Gu Pei’s cowardly deanor and sneered inwardly.

He then turned and moved to Gu Yang’s side, wrapping his arm around hers. “Sister, I knew you’d be the one to welco . Sibling bonds are truly special. Unlike , who only has Sister.”

Gu Pei and Gu Jin exchanged exasperated glances. Seriously?

Gu Yang’s lips twitched. “Behave yourself and stop fooling around.”

Feng Jue grinned. “Okay!”

As long as his sister was happy with him, he was eager to please.

Gu Jin said, “Yangyang, with Tong Rao’s interest in you, she’s not going to let you off easily. You need to be cautious.”

Though they wanted to protect their sister, they couldn’t always be with her. They could only advise her to stay vigilant.

Gu Yang patted her chest confidently. “Don’t worry. Since my hemophilia was treated, I’ve beco much stronger!”

She frequently attended etings at the Psychology Society and the Psychiatric Society now. Ji Minghui would call on her for difficult cases, and her skills in hypnosis had greatly improved.

Gu Pei grumbled, “Tong Rao is really shaless. She hasn’t bothered with my sister for years, but now that she sees how outstanding she is, she wants to reap the benefits!”

“She looked quite similar to Auntie Tong Wan, and she seed to be Auntie Tong Wan’s twin sister. Why is there such a big difference?”

“Auntie Tong Wan is so gentle, and Brother Xiao’s family is full of good people. Why is my sister her daughter instead of Auntie Tong Wan’s?”

Tong Wan had recently recovered from a serious illness, and Ruan Xueling had just arrived at the hospital in Jin City. With Tong Wan eager to build a good relationship with Ruan Xueling for the sake of her future daughter-in-law, the two quickly beca close friends, often socializing together at various events.

Particularly after Xiao Yize and Gu Jin confird their relationship, Tong Wan frequently visited the Gu residence to spend ti with Ruan Xueling. Her gentle and generous nature won the favor of everyone in the Gu family.

Gu Pei, who was often self-critical, suddenly noticed the silence in the piano room and beca anxious. “What’s wrong? Did I say sothing wrong?”

The sudden quiet made him feel uneasy, as though he had misspoken.

“No,” Gu Jin replied, her gaze fixed on Gu Yang as she rembered Tong Wan’s missing daughter from the plane crash.

Their ages seed to match up.

However, Auntie Tong Wan had clearly stated that her unborn daughter was healthy, while Yangyang had hemophilia.

Tong Rao’s child was not clearly docunted; it had happened many years ago, and Tong Rao had been secretive about it. All they knew was that the child was at least a year older than the Tong siblings. Gu Yang, coincidentally, was one year older than the Tong siblings.

Moreover, Tong Rao had conducted a paternity test with Yangyang. The paternity test itself should be reliable, as the Tong siblings had no reason to falsify such a test when it was clear that they did not want Gu Yang to be considered Tong Rao’s daughter.

Unless…

Gu Jin suddenly asked, “Yangyang, what type of sample did Tong Rao use for the paternity test?”
