Waking up the next day, I felt nothing but pain.
As I lay in bed, with eyes wide open, staring at the white ceiling above, the alarm clock blared in the background.
Can I just skip today..?
I already saved the world yesterday, right? So I should be fine!
Yet...I knew I couldn't
After a major incident like yesterday, I would have to be in school to observe the main cast and their activities.
And...I had quite a few people to thank.
As I had heard from Ruby's text ssages, the three girls in the main cast, excluding Irene, had also played a part in my miraculous escape through the lava pool. Explore more adventures at My Virtual Library Empire
Within a couple of seconds, I was out of bed, shirtless, and walking towards the bathroom to shower with a disgruntled expression.
...
...
...
Finally, after a brief shower, I put on my academy uniform, not even bothering to look in the mirror to adjust my collar and hair.
Thankfully, it was winter, so I didn't have to deal with the bright sun blinding my eyes as soon as I opened the door.
However...I did find soone waiting outside my door.
After blinking a couple of tis to confirm I wasn't dreaming, I simply stared at the blonde-haired figure outside my dorm.
"Charlotte...it's been a while!"
Well, it wasn't necessarily surprising.
I expected her to be sowhat annoyed that I had moved into the royal dormitory without telling her, but she seed unconcerned.
Nodding her head, Charlotte simply stared at the naplate on my dorm that read, "Ren" for a couple of seconds before finally turning towards .
"How has...your move been?"
Smirking, I glanced down the hallway, making sure no one was else nearby and responded.
"Well...I didn't have a servant who could do everything for ...so it was pretty tough."
"It's too early for sarcasm."
"So...is there sothing that our...group needs?"
"Not really. I was just curious about how you'd been rewarded for your performance during the battle royale, and now, I see."
Rubbing her eyelids, Charlotte simply nodded her head at and began walking down the hallway back to her room.
Not sure what emotion to feel, I followed after her before deviating and turning right into the common area.
Now...this is why I had gotten up so early.
As the savory sll of freshly made bacon and eggs entered my nose, I felt all the exhaustion weighing on suddenly disappear for a mont.
Like one of the cartoon animal zombies walking towards the sll of food, I walked towards the right portion of the common area where the kitchen was located.
There were no staff around, so the kitchen was a self-serve type.
Dozens of plates were laid out, all properly portioned with the perfect amount of protein and other nutrients for your day.
Before moving into the royal dorm, I'd basically skip breakfast every day or just eat a quick snack while in class, so this was a huge ga-changer.
After picking up one of the nearby pitchers, I poured myself a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and then took a plate loaded with bacon, eggs, and toast.
On the side were countless green grapes and even a banana for potassium intake.
And, out of habit, I had also poured myself a small glass of milk.
Recalling the days when my mom would insist on having a glass of milk with every al, I smiled before glancing at my reflection in the mirror.
I was...only 5'10!
Where the hell did all that milk go!?
Staring at the tons of delicious food before , I picked up a fork before imdiately devouring the toast and eggs.
The salty toast, combined with puffy and flavorful eggs and, of course, the perfectly cooked bacon, made for an amazing trio.
Without even looking up from my plate, I simply alternated before using a fork to get bacon, my hand to drink orange juice, and my other hand to grab grapes.
As my exhaustion faded away for the ti being, alongside my food, I finally looked up when I heard footsteps nearby.
Was it Charlotte?
"...?"
Turning around, I paused montarily upon seeing a family brown-haired and brown-eyed figure.
Passing by while yawning, Zach simply glanced at the load of food in front of before saying.
"Congratulations on moving in! You should have asked the Residental Advisor to host a welco party for you!"
Yeah...a party with , Liam and Kevin would go absolutely splendidly!
The three most egotistical people in the entire world coming together to celebrate!
Chuckling, I simply nodded my head and replied.
"Thanks, I appreciate it."
Finding another table, Zach also picked a couple of plates before returning and imdiately devouring his food.
After finishing the last bit of orange juice, I stacked up all my plates and placed them down in the cleaning area before finally heading out.
Thankfully, since I had set my alarm decently early, no one besides Zach ca to my table during my eating ti.
Pushing open the glass doors of the royal dormitory, I internally thanked myself for putting on a cool puffer jacket before sliding the hood over my wet hair.
It hadn't snowed yet, but the temperature was still low, and so parts of the ground were even icy and slippery.
The previously lush green grass of the dormitory garden was now colored a bright white, and there were animals in signs, all presumably resting in their warr habitats.
After passing by the dormitory gate, I nodded my head at the security guards and headed towards my class building.
I didn't know whether to be happy or angry with security guards anywhere.
They were risking their lives to protect us students from the dangers of the world, but at the sa ti, the dangers always got past them without fail.
Well, I guess it wasn't their fault...it was more like the author's fault as he had made them basically useless.
