In the hotel.

Manager Xu Jie watched Su Yan enthusiastically trying on evening gowns in front of the mirror, feeling very surprised.

Having worked with Su Yan for so long, Xu Jie knew she was a powerhouse singer who only cared about her voice and singing skills, never placing much importance on her appearance.

Even for concerts, Su Yan would ask for simple and comfortable clothes.

But now, she was dressing up so extravagantly just to attend a welco party at her alma mater? She even had a luxurious gown sent from ho!

This excited and anticipatory expression was sothing Xu Jie had never seen before.

Did sothing good happen?

But nothing seed out of the ordinary. Although Xu Jie wasn’t with Su Yan 24/7, she was around most of the ti and hadn’t noticed anything special.

Lost in thought, Xu Jie suddenly heard Su Yan’s voice, gentler and more cheerful than usual.

“Xu Jie, I’d like to stay here a bit longer. Can you arrange that?”

“Of course. But Xiaoyan, why do you suddenly want to stay longer?”

Xu Jie was puzzled. With Su Yan’s fa and the Su family’s influence, staying in S City wouldn’t be a problem. But they had planned to leave after the party. Why the change?

“It’s nothing. I just think S City is nice and want to stay for a while. Xu Jie, please try to extend our stay as long as possible!”

“No problem. I think two or three months should be doable. I’ll talk to the company now!”

“Thanks, Xu Jie!”

After her manager left, Su Yan continued fiddling with her dress in front of the mirror, then put it away and stretched on the bed.

She twisted her neck.

“Ugh... got hit again!”

“Darling, you really love knocking people out!”

“You’re so capable. Why not use so knockout gas... or even a love potion... I surely wouldn’t resist... but you insist on hitting . So annoying!”

Su Yan rembered. In the past, though the ti and place varied, every ti she was knocked out by her darling hitting her neck.

“But... this ti, it wasn’t him who did it...”

Recalling the sharper pain and the letter’s contents, Su Yan had a guess.

“It must have been Ning Xueluo! She hit so hard!”

Su Yan rubbed her sore neck.

“That woman, not only does she have ancient martial arts, but also an ancient mindset, practicing ‘Three Obediences and Four Virtues’ better than her martial arts, always sticking to darling like a tail!”

“And she loves acting the big sister, always ‘disciplining the sisters on behalf of husband’!”

“This ti too, traveling so far to be with him. Not , I’d make darling chase !”

Su Yan muttered while checking her phone’s chat interface.

She was waiting for a reply from her good sister, Zhou Yinyin.

Co to think of it, she shared quite a bond with Zhou Yinyin.

Back then, having suffered cyberbullying and depression, she hid in her room, refusing to co out.

At that ti, a stranger added her on Feixin, chatting and encouraging her daily.

At first, she ignored it, but gradually, curiosity got the better of her.

How did this person beco her friend without permission? How did they know so much about her?

Driven by these questions, she started replying.

ssages exchanged, they slowly got to know each other. Su Yan found out this person was a fan.

Encouraged and comforted by this fan, she regained the courage to revive her singing career.

For a while after her coback, she wanted to find this naless, faceless person and beco real friends.

But before she could, she was taken ho by a bad man.

Coincidentally, after living with the bad man for a while, she discovered that the encouraging fan was her sister, Zhou Yinyin!

They skipped being friends and directly beca sisters!

That night, excited, she chatted with Yinyin all night.

Rembering how chatty Zhou Yinyin was online yet flustered in person, Su Yan couldn’t help but smile.

“I wonder what Yinyin is doing now...”

Waiting, Su Yan shifted from sitting to lying on the bed.

As she stretched her long legs in boredom, Zhou Yinyin’s reply finally ca.

“Su Yan jie, relax and do it! Your darling said he’s looking forward to it!”

“Whoo—” Su Yan finally felt relieved, a happy smile on her face. But her reply was full of complaints.

“Yinyin, wasn’t it supposed to be a surprise for him? Why did you tell!”

“Hehe, Su Yan jie, don’t you know by now?”

“You want to do sothing but are afraid to screw up and make him unhappy.”

“So you asked to get Xiaoyan and Linger’s opinion, indirectly asking your man’s opinion!”

“You know Linger, she’s a big blabbermouth. We talk to her, and that night she’s in bed with hubby, spilling everything!”

Feeling exposed, Su Yan blushed but kept her replies strong.

“That’s not true! You misunderstood!”

“Okay, okay, I misunderstood! But now that he knows, how about a different surprise? I promise not to tell this ti!”

“No way! The party’s tomorrow, no ti to change!”

“Alright! I’m looking forward to seeing how beautiful you’ll be tomorrow night! You’ll probably dazzle your darling!”

Even knowing Zhou Yinyin’s last comnt was teasing, Su Yan felt pleased.

She had put a lot of effort into this first formal eting.

Every previous first eting, she wore plain pajamas, no makeup.

Though confident in her looks, she felt a bit regretful.

So this ti, she decided to go all out, making it the most morable first encounter.
