A new day arrived.

During the morning reading session, most students of Senior Year (3) Class had already arrived, with the majority seriously working on test papers or reciting from their textbooks.

However, there were two exceptions, Lin Ming and his deskmate, a chubby boy.

The chubby boy’s family owned a factory, and knowing he had no hope, he started to slack off and ss around.

But he was aware of Lin Ming’s family situation and tried not to influence Lin Ming’s studies. However, it was always Lin Ming who initiated conversations with him, and since Lin Ming’s grades had recently improved significantly, the chubby boy stopped worrying.

Lin Ming ignored the annoyed expressions of his deskmate and the chubby boy’s deskmate, still chatting away with the chubby boy.

After all, aside from Xia Xinyan, he didn’t care about the feelings of other classmates.

Suddenly, the sound of the teacher entering the classroom was heard.

Lin Ming turned his head and saw that it was Liu Yunshuang, who taught English. He quickly turned back around, sat up straight, and picked up the English book to start morizing vocabulary.

However, his peripheral vision kept stealthily glancing at Liu Yunshuang.

Seeing Liu Yunshuang dressed in proper teacher attire, accentuating her graceful figure, Lin Ming couldn’t help but daydream.

Although he and the chubby boy boasted about vulgar jokes and seed knowledgeable, he had never experienced it himself.

Previously, he lacked the courage to chat up girls, and now, he looked down on ordinary girls.

Even though he was now on good terms with Hu Ye, he had never experienced the clubs owned by Hu Ye, because he felt that only won like Xia Xinyan or Liu Yunshuang were worthy of him.

Lin Ming fantasized about both won serving him.

As for Liu Yunshuang’s fiancé, he didn’t take him seriously at all, just a dumb rich second generation.

Lin Ming had his own confidence and self-assurance—X-ray vision and a powerful legacy.

Lin Ming’s eyes were actually a bit nearsighted, but one day, he suddenly found a pair of magical glasses. Curiously, he put them on, and they “whooshed” into his own eyes.

Then, Lin Ming discovered his nearsightedness had disappeared, and he gained a special ability—X-ray vision.

Before he could fully absorb this surprise, another pie fell from the sky and hit him!

The old man he casually saved from thugs turned out to be the legendary King of Assassins!

The old man said Lin Ming had astonishing bones and excellent comprehension, so he decided to make him his successor and gave him a secret martial arts manual.

Soon, he would beco the true King of Assassins.

So, even the wealthiest man in S City was nothing more than a speck of dust in his eyes.

As Lin Ming fantasized about his beautiful future life, he saw Liu Yunshuang approaching his seat.

Liu Yunshuang’s expression was cold, and upon closer inspection, undeniable dark circles were visible under her eyes.

“Lin Ming, co out for a mont!”

Before Lin Ming could respond, Liu Yunshuang had already “thud thud thud” walked outside the corridor.

Lin Ming found it strange but obediently followed her out.

Outside in the corridor, Liu Yunshuang straightforwardly pulled out a piece of paper for Lin Ming.

Lin Ming raised his left hand but found it difficult to move, so he sheepishly smiled and switched to taking the paper with his right hand.

It was a few sentences in English.

“Lin Ming, translate these sentences!”

“...”

Seeing these “alien symbols,” Lin Ming’s head hurt, as he had no idea what they ant, and he could only stamr in response.

“Um... Teacher Liu... so of these words are too complicated... I haven’t morized them yet...”

Seeing Lin Ming like this, Liu Yunshuang’s eyes grew even colder.

Indeed, there were a few difficult words in the sentences, but these words had appeared multiple tis in recent exams.

How could a “studious good student” who scores well and asks her questions every day possibly not master them?

With this thought, Liu Yunshuang suddenly made a move towards Lin Ming’s left hand.

Now was the ti to verify the truth.

If those thugs really knew Lin Ming, they definitely wouldn’t have truly broken his hand. After all, bone and tendon injuries take a hundred days to heal and could leave lasting issues.

If Lin Ming was fine, it ant the information Wang Haoran provided was all true.

If Lin Ming’s hand was really broken, at worst, she would send him to the hospital and give him a few hundred thousand.

Liu Yunshuang just wanted to clarify the truth.

Caught off guard, Lin Ming wanted to dodge, but his hand was firmly held down. By the ti Lin Ming reacted, the splint had already been violently removed.

“Teacher Liu, you...”

Lin Ming was about to say sothing but saw Liu Yunshuang’s murderous gaze.

Aside from a scratch not even three centiters long, there were no signs of injury.

Even if Liu Yunshuang wasn’t a doctor, the forceful struggle from Lin Ming and his lack of painful expressions made it clear—Lin Ming’s hand was fine!

“Hehe...”

Lin Ming never expected Liu Yunshuang to physically verify the truth. His bandage was just casually applied, making him feel sowhat guilty, and he started to explain in a low voice.

“Teacher Liu, my hand is fine, but I couldn’t convince my mom...”

“Enough, Lin Ming!”

Hearing Lin Ming try to place the bla on his parents, Liu Yunshuang couldn’t help but shout in anger.

Liu Yunshuang felt he was beyond redemption and gave up on trying to teach him.

“Lin Ming, you don’t have to co to anymore. I can’t teach you.”

“Take care of yourself!”

Watching Liu Yunshuang’s angry departure, Lin Ming sighed.

“Ah, was there really a need to get so mad?”

But in his heart, he didn’t think it was a big deal.

“Never mind, I’ll apologize after school. After all, she’s supposed to be my woman; I have to pamper her!”
