"AGHH!!!" Nick scread as the Fang continued glowing. It was a scalding sensation, one that he hadn't felt in quite a long ti—back when the Fang had first assimilated into him.
'What, am I so kind of house for you fuckers?' Nick lanted half-heartedly, as he was very happy with the strength boost they gave him. And he had just enough sanity left to understand that he was unlocking the First Seal of Annihilation for his Fang.
However, the blade beca hotter and hotter against his skin. As his hands clasped down on the hilt, the harsh sizzling sound reverberated throughout the empty forge.
"Ow, FUCK!!" Nick scread even though he involuntarily clasped on the hilt even tighter. If the Fang had a mind of its own, it would probably be screaming for air by now.
Alas, it was rely a scalding weapon testing its user. Within seconds, the insane heat finally subsided as Nick let out a hearty sigh.
Then he realized his left arm had completely regenerated and montarily forgot about the First Seal. Holding the Fang to the side with his right hand, Nick twirled his arm around as if expecting it to fall off.
Instead, it moved with all the fluid grace as it usually did, almost as if it had never been brutally smacked off of his body. With a twisted smile, he ford his left hand into a fist as he knocked it against his chest, exclaiming, "You don't even get to keep my arm, motherfucker!!!"
Good thing too. After he obtained the reward of this First Seal, he was going to have to face Khaic. It probably would've been hard to do that had he not regenerated from the Assimilation thing.
'Speaking of,' Nick thought as he averted his attention away from the miracle. It was ti to reap the benefits of Annihilation.

Nick marveled at the sight. Although the boss fight had been undeniably hard, this was still an insane batch of rewards.
First, with the new Assimilation thing he obtained a new batch of resistances, a new way to upgrade his stats, and an entirely new power system basically.
Here, with the Seal of Annihilation, he obtained 2 stat modifiers as well as a busted new skill. This insane batch of rewards almost made him want to go seek these other 8 seals this instant. However, that probably wasn't the best idea considering the extre difficulty this fight was.
'No matter. I was already planning on grinding anyway. If these demons are any indicator...'
The enemies of the future are going to be much more challenging. Before the throne room began crumbling, Nick took one last look at his new system screen and stats.

"Progenitor, wake up!"
Elise's shrill voice was the first thing he heard as consciousness returned, followed quickly by the screams of civilians. Opening his eyes, he looked around to find 2 commander-level demons, like Dyr.
Behind them their squadrons of squires were flying around, all in a joint effort to break through Elise's barriers. Barriers that defended not just her but all the civilians.
Understanding washed over Nick as he saw them colliding with the barrier, turning into goo but threatening to break it as well. If she had cast it around just them, it was likely the barrier wouldn't break at all. However, because she was trying to protect the civilians as well, her own life was now in danger.
Unlike Yck, she wasn't leaving the kids or civilians to die. Not this ti, anyway.
Crack!
The squires chittered with glee as they finally broke through Elise's barrier, baring their dagger hands as they prepared to annihilate everyone.
Instead, they were t with pure Annihilation.
The [Fang of Finality] grew imnsely bright, casting thousands of shadows upon reality. Each of these shadows was a sword looking to vanquish its victim.
Silently, Nick sent all the swords out to the impending doom, ending it swiftly. To his surprise, this skill also activated [Emperor's Slash], so not only were they eviscerated by thousands of swords, but then his perk dealt thousands of tis more damage as an AoE.
Even the commanders disintegrated against this onslaught, leaving the battlefield empty and desolate—finally.
Turning his attention to the town below the hill, Nick remarked to himself how similar this looked to the monolith overlooking the ruins.
Except this ti, the only race here that would beco extinct was the demons.
