Rong Xingyu suddenly sat up and blinking his eyes as he struggled to fully co back to himself.

He had actually dread that he truly beca a rmaid.

Rong Xingyu: "..."

He was no longer young, yet he still had such a childlike imagination?

However, looking at the antique canopy bed before him, Rong Xingyu could not help sighing.

If he could travel back to ancient tis, then perhaps one day truly turning into a rmaid was not entirely impossible either.

Rong Xingyu had already been here for a week and by now he had accepted the fact that he had transmigrated.

He had also basically adapted to the lifestyle of people in ancient tis.

Rong Xingyu lifted the quilt and got out of bed.

He first stood by the bed and neatly folded the bedding, but afterward did not imdiately move away.

His gaze fell upon the bed, which was clearly aged with years of use.

This canopy bed was barely sufficient for one person, but if two people were to sleep on it, it would probably be rather difficult.

If they really tried to squeeze in, once they fell asleep at night they likely would not even be able to turn over.

Rong Xingyu felt a headache coming on.

He himself could manage for now, but once he found Ding Yixin after so ti, were the two grown n really supposed to crowd together on this small bed?

They could, but it was hardly necessary.

Thinking of Ding Yixin, Rong Xingyu could not help letting out another sigh.

The night before he arrived here had been nothing more than an ordinary evening.

Even Ding Yixin’s goodnight kiss had been no different from any other night.

Rong Xingyu had fallen asleep peacefully in Ding Yixin’s arms.

But when he opened his eyes the next morning, there was no sign of Ding Yixin beside him.

At the ti, Rong Xingyu had woken up from the cold and shivering as he looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings in bewildernt.

Before going to sleep, he had been in a low-key yet luxurious bedroom with a faint European style, how had everything changed so drastically overnight and replaced entirely with traditional Chinese decor?

Rong Xingyu lowered his head and saw strands of black hair draping down onto the quilt: "..."

He subconsciously raised his hand and touched his hair.

A look of confusion imdiately appeared on his face.

When had his hair suddenly grown so long???

Rong Xingyu pinched his arm and could not help hissing in pain.

This was not a dream!

What on earth was going on?

The confusion in Rong Xingyu’s heart reached its peak when he saw the reflection in the basin of water.

Because the face reflected there was not his at all!

Although the face was delicate and pleasant, it looked completely different from his own.

Rong Xingyu: "...This strange sense of deja vu."

Well then, had he transmigrated again?

When Rong Xingyu realized this, he actually cald down.

After all, before he had learned the truth about the world, he had once firmly believed he had transmigrated into a novel.

In a way, the feeling was almost familiar.

"First ti is strange, second ti is familiar..." Rong Xingyu muttered softly.

He closed his eyes and tried to sort through the mories of this body’s original owner.

After an unknown amount of ti, Rong Xingyu finally opened his eyes slowly.

What followed was an involuntary sigh.

This ti, Rong Xingyu’s identity after transmigrating was that of a young master of the Pri Minister’s residence, but also the most neglected illegitimate son.

The original owner’s mother had been of low status, she’s just a maid who had served at the Pri Minister’s side since his youth.

Yet she had been born with a beauty that easily drew attention and before long she had been taken in as a bedchamber attendant.

At that ti, both of them had still been young and at an age when their hearts were just beginning to stir with budding feelings.

Spending their days together from morning till night, they had enjoyed quite a long stretch of sweet, affectionate days, as inseparable as if steeped in honey.

The Pri Minister had even ignored the objections of his elders and insisted on elevating the original owner’s mother from a maid to a concubine.

But such affection did not last long.

As the scumbag father’s official rank rose higher and higher, he beca increasingly corrupted by power, and little by little, he changed.

On top of that, the original owner’s mother had endured many hardships in her earlier years, leaving her body with lingering ailnts.

Especially after giving birth to the original owner, she soon collapsed completely after catching a severe chill.

By then, the Pri Minister was already surrounded by nurous wives and concubines, and his principal wife had just given birth to a delicate and adorable daughter.

Together with the legitimate son from before, he could fully enjoy the bliss of having both son and daughter, how could he possibly rember that in a side courtyard there was still a sickly woman wasting away?

The original owner’s mother could only rely on each other with the still young child in that remote side courtyard.

Yet she passed away when the original owner was only four years old.

It was only after she died that the scumbag father stepped into the side courtyard again.

Seeing that the child’s features bore so resemblance to his late mother, the scumbag father suddenly recalled the feelings he had once shared with her and what little conscience he had left seed to be put on trial.

He did not even dare to et the child’s eyes.

The scumbag father who are embarrassed fled the side courtyard.

From that mont on, aside from ensuring the child had basic food and clothing, he never again bothered to concern himself with the original owner.

Having just lost his mother and being unloved by his father, one could easily imagine the original owner’s situation in the Pri Minister’s residence.
