He looked up at Rong Zhenqiao in a daze and when their eyes t, he couldn’t help but hiccup.

Rong Xingyu’s face flushed slightly as he realized belatedly that he had been crying here.

It barely rang once before Rong Xingyu imdiately answered.
When the call connected, Rong Xingyu suddenly felt that maybe he had picked up too fast, almost like he had been too eager.
He coughed once and tried to act calm and collected, trying to put on a little attitude.
But the mont he spoke, his soft voice completely exposed his real feelings.
Ding Yixin called only to repeat the sa things he had just texted.
But after all, they had only been together for a short ti and they were still in the sticky, clingy stage of a new relationship.
Even the most pointless words could be said over and over again for a long ti and neither of them would feel annoyed at all.

Ding Yixin let out a low laugh and said, "I miss you too, Yuyu."
His voice was already deep to begin with, but through the phone when it’s reaching Rong Xingyu’s ears, it sounded even deeper and more magnetic.
Rong Xingyu felt his ears turning numb from the sound.
He touched his ear in an awkward little motion and humd a soft reply.
"When are you coming back?" Rong Xingyu asked again.
He heard Ding Yixin pause for a mont, and then say, "Soon."
"I’ll co back to see you very soon."
Hearing the promise, Rong Xingyu held his phone and smiled sweetly.
But he didn’t expect Ding Yixin to follow up with, "Yuyu, do you rember what you promised before?"
Ding Yixin’s voice was a bit hoarse and if one listened carefully, there was even a tone that wasn’t quite proper.
Promised... what?
