It’s better to stay alive; he definitely didn’t want to tempt fate with this man!

So Ethan never imagined that the day would co when Ding Yixin would actively reach out.

Now he wanted nothing more than to put his hands on his hips and laugh loudly to the sky thirty tis.

"Ahem, ahem... What do you want from ?" Ethan said, trying to sound proud.

Ding Yixin leaned against the railing, his fingers tapping slowly against the back of the phone.

"Set up remote tracking and monitoring for this phone. I need to know everything the owner of this phone does at all tis."

To Ding Yixin, Ethan was simply a free laborer, he’s highly efficient and convenient to use.

Completely unaware that he was just a tool, Ethan was shocked. "Oh my god! Why do you need this? That’s a human rights violation, you know~!"

Ding Yixin’s vein twitched at his forehead when a hacker who ruled the internet started talking about human rights.

Ethan’s fingers flew over the keyboard.

The phone crackled with rapid typing sounds and he couldn’t help asking out of curiosity, "Who is the owner of this phone? Don’t tell it’s your poor nephew?"

Ding Yixin: ...

He didn’t need to answer. Or rather, Ethan didn’t need Ding Yixin to respond; he would just keep talking on his own.

"Is this what you call a ’Chinese-style parent’? Honestly, Ding, your control over the kids in your family seems a little too much. In our country, kids are basically raised freely. My drunk parents barely cared about when I was born, and look, I still grew up just fine, didn’t I?"

Luckily, Ding Yixin had eaten and drunk well tonight, so his mood was relatively good.

He didn’t take offense at Ethan’s chatter and simply corrected him calmly, "It’s not a kids. It’s a lover."

"Oh, oh, a lover, huh?"

Ethan accidentally sprayed water all over his beloved keyboard.

He didn’t even care to wipe it off.

His voice suddenly cracked from surprise.

"Holy sh—!!! A lover??!"

Ding Yixin had already anticipated this reaction and moved the phone farther away, but even then, he could still hear Ethan’s broken, high-pitched voice.

He frowned and glanced at Rong Xingyu, who was still lying in bed, sleeping soundly, before he spoke to Ethan: "Keep it down. He just fell asleep. Don’t wake him."

"Oh my god! You’re talking about him, him!"

Ethan stood up and couldn’t help pacing around the table twice.

Even if God had appeared in his dreams tonight and told him that Ding Yixin had a lover, Ethan would probably have shouted at Him for lying.

But now, Ding Yixin was telling him this personally.

Wait, how could soone as boring as Rong even have a lover, while soone as handso, charming, witty, and brilliant as him was still single?!

Ethan let out a despairing screams.

"I really didn’t expect this," Ethan said, his tone sour as if he had eaten ten pounds of lemons, yet deep down, he genuinely felt happy for Ding Yixin. "Congratulations, old friend. If I get the chance, I’ll visit your lover in China. I need to see what kind of person could ta a big demon like you."

Ding Yixin smiled lightly. "No need."

"Oh ho ho ho! You’re worried your lover will fall for when we et, aren’t you?" Ethan ran his fingers through his golden hair. "Seeing you like this reminds of an old Chinese saying: ’When the old house catches fire, the fish in the pond suffer.’"

Ding Yixin: "If you can’t speak Chinese properly, then shut up."

What nonsense was this?

"Okay! Done." During the conversation, Ethan had already finished setting up the remote tracking and monitoring.

Of course, Ethan had also made up his mind: soon, he would buy a plane ticket and co to China to see exactly what Ding Yixin’s lover looked like.

After hearing Ethan say "done," Ding Yixin hung up the phone, completely ignoring Ethan’s furious yelling on the other end.

He truly acted like so heartless scoundrel who used soone and threw them away.

The call had been specially handled, leaving no trace on the phone.

Ding Yixin stood on the balcony for a long ti.

Once the sll of smoke on his clothes had completely dissipated and he was sure there was no lingering harsh odor, he finally opened the door and returned to the bedroom.

He placed the phone back on the nightstand.

Rong Xingyu was still sleeping deeply with his eyes closed.

As soon as Ding Yixin lay down, Rong Xingyu seed to sense him and moved closer instinctively.

Ding Yixin who is bathed in moonlight studied Rong Xingyu’s delicate features with his eyes.

After a long while, he lifted his arm and pulled Rong Xingyu into his embrace, holding him close as they fell into a deep sleep together.

...

Rong Xingyu sat in an ice cream shop, while Qian Zhijun sat next to him, barely daring to breathe.

Across from them, Zeng Youzhen looked clearly displeased and Yue Yeqiao had her head down, making her expression unreadable.

Rong Xingyu: ...

The atmosphere beca tense for a mont.

"I always thought friends should be honest with each other, but what about you two?" Zeng Youzhen finally spoke angrily. "Do you even consider a friend?"

As she spoke, Zeng Youzhen slamd her hand down on the table, making the few cups of cold drinks jump slightly.

"Be honest with ! When exactly did you two get together?!"

Zeng Youzhen glared at Qian Zhijun across from her.

Qian Zhijun’s lips trembled nervously.

He frowned as if he were struggling to figure out how to explain.

Zeng Youzhen crossed her arms like a boss, waiting for Qian Zhijun to respond, but before he could say anything, she suddenly heard Rong Xingyu’s voice beside him.

In a quiet tone, Rong Xingyu said, "Y-yes... I’m sorry. I only recently got together with Dr. Ding."

He touched the tip of his nose and added carefully, "I just didn’t know how to say it. I wasn’t trying to hide it from everyone."
