Shu Yan hesitated a little and said, “Now it’s not a good ti. Why don’t you co back in a little?”
“But the guest downstairs is waiting. Can you please do us a favor? I just work here. If the guest downstairs complain, my pay this month would be docked,” said the server pitifully.
“Then put him into a different room and charge that to .” That was too much of a coincidence. One couldn’t be too careful. Shu Yan would rather spend so more money.
After a little while, Shu Yan didn’t hear anything else. She did not open the door and check. She had seen it enough tis in TV shows and movies that curiosity never lead to any good outcos. She was timid; she would forego her curiosity.
So 10 minutes later, she heard Xiao Fei’s voice, “Who are you and why are you standing there? Stay right there, you....”
Shu Yan felt her scalp tingled. Her heart beating frantically. There was sothing going on.
“Mom?” said Ye Jingjing as she grabbed onto Shu Yan’s hand and turning pale. She was scared.
“It’s alright. Mom is alright.” Shu Yan tried to calm herself down. She was nervous all over again when she heard knocking again.
“Yan-je. It’s Xiao Fei. Third Brother sent to bring over dinner.”
Shu Yan looked through the peephole again. She could see the person this ti. Confirming that it was, indeed, Xiao Fei, she finally opened the door.
“Was soone waiting outside my door earlier?” asked Shu Yan as she stuck her head out. There was nobody there.
“I let that little fart get away.” Even Xiao Fei couldn’t believe that soone dared to make a move on Third Brother’s territory. “I had Ah Biao deliver the ssage to Third Brother already. I will be staying here. You have nothing to worry about.”
Shu Yan nodded in fear. Distracted, they finished dinner. The two children were tired from travelling all day and felt asleep shortly. Shu Yan pulled the blankets over them before heading over to the room across the hall with Xiao Fei to et up with Shu Jianyang.
“Xiao Fei had already briefed with what happened. It seems Ye Zhiqiang was making his moves. Forget about the three days. Let’s go look for him tomorrow. We need to wrap this up quickly. The longer this drags on, the worse it is going to get.” Shu Jianyang squinted his eyes. It didn’t seem that Ye Zhiqiang had done his research. How dare he tried pulling anything on his territory.
On the other hand, Ye Zhiqiang found out that not only did his n fail to capture Shu Yan, they had alerted them. He looked even worse than before.
“Hei-ge didn’t answer his call?” In the construction world, they would inevitably co into contact with certain local powers and Hei-ge was one of them. They have had plenty of wining and dining together.
His man shook his head. They had called over ten tis but still no answer.
“Sh*t. And they said we were brothers. Just a small thing and they disappear on you.” Right after Ye Zhiqiang finished saying that, his phone rang. He bead and picked up his phone imdiately.
“Ye Zhiqiang, I changed my mind. Three days is too long. We will et tomorrow morning at 9 AM. Co to the tea shop next to Huayue n. If you don’t show up tomorrow, I will see you in court.” Shu Yan slamd the phone down she was done. She didn’t have ti for this sh*t.
