Chapter 405 - "Yanyan, please save and my child." (2)

The banquet yesterday was divided into two sides. The left side was those from the bribe’s sides and the right side, the groom’s. Many relatives ca on Li Miaomiao side but Shu Yan didn’t know any of them so she had no idea. Ca to think about it, those must all be relatives from her mother’s side.

Now that Shu Yan had found out the background, she said, “Third Brother. I really am not upset. I just want to find out is all. No matter who Third Sister-in-law is or what she is like, that would not affect our relationship.”

Shu Yan wasn’t a petty person. She had thought it through before she ca. If Li Miaomiao and Li Jiaojiao were close with each other, then she would spend less ti around them; if Li Miaomiao was soone of high moral, they would spend more ti together.

“I’m glad you are okay with it.” Shu Jianyang truly thought of Shu Yan as his little sister. Naturally, he would like it that the two of them would get along.

Now that everything was out in the open, there was no big deal. The four of them had lunch together that afternoon.

“Look at our fate......” Li Miaomiao smiled bitterly. “I really hadn’t expected that Jianyang was your cousin.

“You are you. Li Jiaojiao is Li Jiaojiao. It’s alright,” said Shu Yan with a smile.

The two had a common enemy. At least that was how Li Miaomiao saw it. As such, she told Shu Yan a lot about Li Jiaojiao.

“It’s karma. She bled a lot after her miscarriage and her uterus was damaged. The doctor said that it would be sowhat difficult for her to get pregnant again. She frequented Chinese herbalists for help and had been drinking bitter herbal soups daily. So much that her face was turning yellow [from the bitterness],” said Li Miaomiao, enjoying her cousin’s misfortune.

“Where are they now?” Shu Yan regretted about asking as soon as she finished asking. “Never mind, whatever happened to them had nothing to do with .”

“I agree. The heaven watches what the human beings do. If they are still getting away with what they have done, that is just because karma hasn’t caught up with them yet.” Li Miaomiao gave Feng Zeyu a look and stopped talking about Shu Yan’s ex-husband and Li Jiaojiao.

When the topic of Li Jiaojiao was not involved, Li Miaomiao was a tender person and Shu Yan felt comfortable getting along with her.

Shu Jianyang was an impatient one who was quick to temper. He needed soone tender to restrain him.

When they were about done eating, Shu Yan said goodbye to them. “I still have a lot in City Nan to take care of so we will be taking off tomorrow. Give us a call if you ever need anything.”

“You haven’t been back in a long ti. Why don’t you spend so more ti with City Xi?” Li Miaomiao, too, felt comfortable around Shu Yan.

“It’s alright. Mainly, I worry about the two children. I wonder if they had been behaving themselves in the last few days.”

There were not much more that Shu Jianyang and Li Miaomiao could say when the kids were ntioned.

“You should have brought them with. I am here if the Ye family causing trouble was what you worried about. If they care co looking for you, they will be leaving lying down!” said Shu Jianyang.

“That wasn’t really the reason. First of all, it was inconvenient to bring the kids with. Secondly, they still have school and it wasn’t easy to take ti off for them.” Shu Yan wasn’t all that worried about the Ye family mbers. Mainly she felt that it was a hassle.

When they returned to the hotel, Shu Yan saw that Shu Youfu and Lin Zixiang were waiting in the lobby for her.

“You are taking off, Yanyan?” said Lin Zixiang as she walked out in a particularly friendly manner. She chuckled and said, “We will be taking off this afternoon. You don’t co back very often; do you want to join us?”

“Nah, I have a lot to take care of still,” said Shu Yan in a straightforward manner.
