Chapter 206 - "You can’t let them know where I am or give them my contact information." (2)
Shu Yan was extrely cautious during the recovery period. As long as the sun was out, she’d always leave the house with hat and umbrella.
Weather was nice for a change today so Hu Ruixue invited Shu Yan and her kids to go on a hike. Looking at the sun outside, Shu Yan was a bit hesitant about it.
“I can’t go into the sun yet. Why don’t we go in spring?” Shu Yan figured she’d recover by then.
“I didn’t ask you to go and sit under the sun. The place that I am talking about has a large grassy area. Have your kids play there and we will watch them play from the kiosk. You tell when’s the last ti you go out for a relaxing ti?” Hu Ruixue knew about Shu Yan’s situation -- her ho, her shop, Lao Zhang’s place and the place that they have together. She never has a mont of down ti.
“Just the two of us and the kids?”
Shu Yan truly never had a break since she had arrived in City Nan. She got up early every morning to drop her kids off at school, then she would head to her shop. She would rush to pick up her kids in the afternoon then prepare dinner. After dinner, she would have to do dishes, sweep, do laundry. By the ti she was done it was already 8 ~ 9 o’clock at night. She would bathe and go to bed with her kids and the day was already over.
Others have the weekends to rest but she was even busier on the weekends. After picking up her kids on Friday evening, she’d head to City Han. rchandizing started at 4 AM and last till around 7 AM. She would imdiately head back, unpack, match up the outfits, display them, go back ho to make lunch for the children, take a nap. Then it was, once again, dinner, dishes, cleaning, laundry. It never ends.
Shu Yan recalled the last few months and had no idea how she made it through. Lucky, she has a strong body; otherwise, she would have fallen ill a long ti ago.
“Yeah, just us and the kids. Is there anything that you don’t eat? I’ll am going to have my dostic help prepare food for our picnic,” added Hu Ruixue imdiately when she noticed that Shu Yan was sowhat interested.
“We are not picky. Anything will be fine.” After the call, Shu Yan grabbed her wallet and headed toward the market. She planned to prepare so food and bring with her as well.
It was winter ti and hot food would get cold quickly. She already has two thermoses at ho so she bought two more. She washed them out and let them sat in hot water for later use.
“Mom, who are we going to picnic with?”
“A good friend of mommy’s. You two have not t her before. There will also be a 4-year-old younger sister. You will be the big sister then. You need to take care of your little brother and the litter sister, okay?”
“Yes, I will. What are you doing, Mom? Let help you.” JingJing rolled up her sleeves to help.
“No need. Mommy is making Cola Chicken Wings. Didn’t you say you like them last ti?”
In addition to that, Shu Yan also prepared sweet soup and sushi. These were not sothing commonly seen dostically nowadays. She bought the tools for making sushi from the owner of the restaurant when she had lunch there one ti.
A thermos full of cola chicken wings and a buckle of nicely-stacked sushi. The other two thermoses held the sweet soup. When she was done preparing the food, Shu Yan went downstairs with her two children and Hu Ruixue’s car ca not too long later.
“I had my dostic help prepared a lot of food already. Why do you have to bring more?” said Hu Ruixue when she saw what Shu Yan was carrying. She imdiately opened one up to take a look and it happened to be the one with the sushi. “You know how to make this?”
