Chapter 187 - "Mom, did you do sothing bad?" (1)
Shu Yan’s proposal included the essence of the creativity in the next few decades. She might not have been precise on so of the areas, but any professionals in the realm of creativity would be inspired and be able to have an appreciation for them.
So even asked Shu Yan if she wanted to go into the field as their interns. Shu Yan wasn’t sure what to say to that.
“See? I’ve told you. Your proposal is amazing. That’s why I said you are a genius.” Hu Ruixue lanted again as she looked at Shu Yan. Had she not been born to the family that she did, what kind of accomplishnts would she have achieved by now?
Noticing the pity in Hu Ruixue’s eyes, Shu Yan smiled. “My mom had once told that when a person was born, it was already decided for them what kind of rice they will have in this lifeti. Nevertheless, what dishes they desire to go with their rice would depend on their own effort. My rice had already been determined. As for the dishes that go with it? Am I not working toward a table full of delicacies right now?” Of course by “mom”, Shu Yan was referring to her real mother.
“You are right. You are doing well for yourself right now. We will work on this table full of delicacies together.” Hu Ruixue replied happily. “Speaking of, I saw that you were chatting with Manager Wang?”
Manager Wang was a talent that Hu Ruixue had recruited from her brother’s company. She was 35 years old and, much like Shu Yan, was also a divorcee with a daughter.
“She has an 8-year-old daughter so we were chatting about child-rearing. Sohow we got onto the subject of my spots. She said she had them too after she had given birth and that she had them removed by laser at the hospital. I said I am interested too so we chatted about that for a while.” Shu Yan weighed 126 pounds right now. She was still a little bit overweight but no longer obese. Just a few extra pounds. Her skin was much lighter than before. All there was left were those spots that she hasn’t been able to get rid of.
She had been using facemasks almost daily. Even so, her spots only beca slightly lighter in color. Now that she was able to see a living testimonial, Shu Yan planned to go over to the hospital for a consultation when she had so free ti tomorrow.
“Do you need to refer a doctor to you?” Looking at Shu Yan’s spots, even as a friend who was biased, Hu Ruixue had a difficult ti saying that her spots were cute.
“Not for now. Manager Wang had referred to her doctor.” Shu Yan believed in what she saw. Manager Wang’s face was white and tender. With effects like that, she had no reason to try anyone else.
Shu Yan was able to locate Manager Wang’s doctor with the business card provided to her. He was a man in his thirties. The doctor imdiately knew who she was when she ntioned Manager Wang.
“She had already given a call and ntioned you to . Have a seat. Let’s take a look here.” The doctor examined Shu Yan’s spots carefully. She had so spots on her nose since birth. The ones on her nose bridge and beneath her eyes were from her pregnancy. Those were the most difficult to remove. “You will be able to get rid of your spots but probably won’t be as clean as Miss Wang.”
“How close would you say we can get it?” Shu Yan knew that she had a sever case and would not as for the sa effect as Manager Wang. If only they could be dimr in color and she could cover them with makeup, she’d be happy.
“Perhaps 80% of her result. There might be so marks remaining.” The doctor would not make any promises and had made it sound more serious than it was.
Shu Yan knew that the doctor was being conservative about it. If he said 80%, then they were looking at at least 90%.
“Can we have it done today?” Shu Yan really hated the spots and wanted them gone as soon as possible.
