Speed is fast, ridiculously fast thanks to his devil fruit. Even Blaize can't stop him if he decides to escape. He thought of this problem before the confrontation and found a way.
anwhile, Speed who consud nearly eighty percent of his Haki and stamina decided to retreat as the fighting's not going in their favor. He scanned the battlefield with his Observation Haki.
Luke was having a hard ti fighting against Kuzan while Vulken and Jasper were riddled with sword slashes and wounds. Still, they weren't caught by the Marines yet.
Not just pirates, the Marines also suffered severe casualties trying to apprehend them.
Speed care about his subordinates but he knew he can't save everyone. But whatever the case may be, he won't leave behind Luke, Vulken, and Jasper.
Stopping his assaults, he looked at Blaize and spoke, "Today is misjudgnt on my part. I shouldn't have underestimated the Marines. They are still the greatest force in the Sea!
Especially, you. Your strength even rivals Admiral but I haven't heard of you before. What's your na?"
"Blaize!"
"Your devil fruit abilities are weird as your flas are even stronger than the Magma-man Sakazuki whom I fought before. The next ti we et, the result won't be the sa."
"Next ti? Aren't you too confident, what makes you think that you can escape under my eyes? I am taking you down today and no one can stop it!" Blaize confidently spoke.
Hearing it, Speed smirked. "Many claid the sa thing but no one has ever managed to capture . The fact you're covering yourself in that armor is a testant to my strength.
Just because you can fight as equal doesn't an you can catch !"
Saying it, Speed turned around and intended to rescue Luke first. But, just as he used his devil fruit power to rush towards Luke, he suddenly felt a tug in his leg. It nearly stumbled him.
Looking down, he was shocked to see a nearly invisible chain-like energy binding the ankle of his left leg. Whirling around, he glared at Blaize.
The chain-like energy directly connected to his opponent. Speed was thrown in confusion, 'How?
He racked his brain but couldn't find the answer. How could soone bypass his Observational Haki and bind sothing to his leg without alerting him?
It's impossible as any attacks with intent will be sensed by his Observational Haki. Besides, how co he didn't feel this thing the entire ti?
He knew Blaize didn't do this right now. But the question is When and how? Speed looked at Blaize who had a faint smile on his lips.
"Don't be surprised. This technique directly targets the heat signature and binds them at the sa temperature
Still, I thought you would sense when I tried to attach that thing but the mystifying part is you failed to notice it." Blaize shrugged.
"When?"
"The ti when I first punched you," Blaize replied and quietly channeled more power to the Heat chain.
Speed observed it. He noticed countless golden threads entwined themselves to form the chain and his opponent coated it with Haki. aning, it would be difficult to break.
Vibrating his hands, Speed slashed the chain at incredible speed. To his astonishnt, his hands passed through the chain without touching. Aside from feeling so heat, his hand couldn't touch it.
"Don't bother. That chain is made of nothing but pure heat but with my thought, they turn hard. You can't get rid of it so easily.
Maybe if you discovered it sooner, you may have had a chance. But now?" Blaize shook his head considering Speed's hopeless situation.
The binding heat chain isn't as simple as it looks. When Blaize first attached it was just a single thread but as they fought and ti passed he toughened them by entwining them with more threads.
Finally, the threads turned into a strong binding chain. It may seem simple but Blaize had to constantly use his devil fruit power to keep them intact.
Hearing his words, Speed clenched his fist. He has been deceived from the very start. If he had been more careful, he could have prevented it from happening.
His opponent is crafty like him. Without himself knowing, he trapped him while waiting for him to exhaust himself before revealing his hidden move.
Well...it's no use crying over a spilled milk. It's ti to think of another plan or face his opponent head-on.

Speed didn't lose hope. He tried to break the heat chain binding him but nothing worked. Even coating himself with Haki, Speed can't brush the thing.
Because unlike Logia devil fruit powers Blaize's heat manipulation is different. It's not logia but special paracia. And, it's not as invisible as Speed thinks.
It's only possible because Blaize is controlling the nature of the heat chain with his thought.
Knowing it's waste of ti to break the chain binding him, Speed attacked Blaize directly. They were once again exchanged blows while Blaize utilized Susanoo to fight Speed.
"Don't hide in that turtle shell. If you have what it takes, fight head-on. If not for that, I would effortlessly crush you with my strength" Speed roared while channeled haki to his fist and used Internal destruction.
The attack didn't affect Blaize who was shielded by multiple layers of Susanoo. But what Speed didn't foresee is, after his provoking words Blaize uttered, "Sure" and dispersed the humanoid thing.
"I have presented you the opportunity. Don't tell later that I haven't given you any. Now, let's see whether you are true to your words or just all talk." Blaize gestured Speed with his hand.
He's confident because he recovered most of his physical energy and still has half his haki reserve. Speed can't do anything to him even with the Internal destruction concept.
Today, he's dood to fall!

Once again, Speed and Blaize faced head-on. Speed took the initiative and rained him with punches filled with madness.
Even with his superior Observation haki, Blaize couldn't dodge all the attacks while so struck his body. But, he didn't care Zephyr sensei's words resounded in his mind.
For the first ti, Blaize disregarded the limitations of Haki. He didn't care about the Haki reserve nor how much amount of Haki that he should channel to each strike.
He went wild and enjoyed the battle. Speed's strikes were accurate and fast. If Blaize fails to dodge or block the strikes with the right amount of Haki, he would be heavily injured.
But, in Blaize's mind, he dismissed the intent to block he wants to fight. So, without minding Speed's strikes he launched the attacks of his own.
Blood splattered!
The air around them is shaking with the color of the Supre king. Lightning sparks flew off as the space around them cracked as they clashed.
Blasts sounded while shockwaves upon shockwaves ford and scattered in all directions.
The mastery of Haki and control of physical strength that each fighter had over their respective field destroyed the grounds and surroundings leaving nothing but dust and huge craters.
None of them used their devil fruit powers, just their Haki and physical strength.
Blaize was thrilled, excited, the heat of battle thumped his heart rapidly. He could feel the true power of Haki as fist punched through the air and violently slamd into Speed's face.
While Speed's attack landed on his chest, crushing his inner organs forcing him to cough mouthful of blood. Without himself knowing, Blaize channeled his Haki inside his body and coated his inner organs.
And, Blaize found Speed's next attack was not that powerful while his attacks broke so of his opponent's bones.
After an hour of intense battle, Blaize's punch slamd into Speed's skull nearly shattering them into pieces. Unable to withstand the force of the attack, Speed was cratered into the ground.
Blood gushed from his orifices; nose, ears, eyes, and mouth. Speed struggled to stand but failed to do so as he was injured heavily and depleted his haki reserve.
It's the sa for Blaize as he panted nearly draining his physical energy and Haki reserve.
