Chapter 514: Chapter 293: As One Drinks Water

Shu Wan opened her eyes and still felt a bit confused.

Just a second ago, she had been lying on an altar covered with bizarre runes, and in the next, she found herself staring at a pristine white ceiling.

Shu Wan felt no discomfort in her body, and she easily sat up, only then noticing Fu Siyu sleeping by her bedside.

He was dressed in a suit that was slightly wrinkled, clearly indicating he hadn’t had ti to change before rushing from the office to the hospital.

It had been a while since she last saw him—Fu Siyu seed much thinner and there was a tiredness in his eyes.

Perhaps due to the exhaustion of last night, even soone as alert as him hadn’t noticed Shu Wan’s movents.

Shu Wan didn’t disturb his rest, she carefully got out of bed and walked over to the window to look down.

When she had left, it was winter, but now it was early sumr.

The hospital faced a school, and at that mont, the school bell rang, and countless students poured out of the gate.

Cars and people clogged the street, and vendors along the road hawked snacks from their carts.

Shu Wan took a deep breath, the air filled with the mix of snack scents and the disinfectant sll of the hospital.

Behind her, Fu Siyu seed to sense sothing and suddenly opened his eyes, only to find the bed empty.

He abruptly stood up but felt dizzy since he had been lying down for too long.

He pinched his brow, subconsciously wanting to find a doctor, but then he felt soone watching him.

He turned around and saw Shu Wan standing by the window, smiling at him.

For a mont, Fu Siyu thought he was dreaming.

He tentatively called out, “Shu Wan?”

Shu Wan nodded, “Fu Siyu, I’m back.”

It had been too long since Fu Siyu had heard Shu Wan’s voice, he almost couldn’t tell if it was really her.

He stood silently until Shu Wan opened her mouth, wanting to say sothing more, when suddenly Fu Siyu stepped forward and pulled her into his arms.

The warm body heat passed through the hospital gown to his chest.

He felt the warmth spreading from his heart to his limbs, even his fingertips felt burning hot.

Ti seed to be indeterminable, finally Fu Siyu let go of Shu Wan, his fingers trembling slightly as they touched her thin face, “You’ve finally co back.”

“How long have I been unconscious?”

“Three years.”

“Three years?” Shu Wan’s eyes flickered slightly, “But in another era, I was only gone for three months.”

“What exactly happened during this ti?”

Fu Siyu pulled Shu Wan to the sofa and poured her a glass of warm water, “You’re not going to leave again this ti, are you?”

“I want to ask you, during the ti I was unconscious, did anyone else get close to Fu Yang?”

“Yes,” Fu Siyu was sharp, hearing Shu Wan ask this, he imdiately thought Chu Yu was related to Shu Wan’s return, “There was soone nad Chu Yu.”

Chu Yu…Zui Yu…

Yes, it must be him.

Shu Wan looked at Fu Siyu, “Is he still here?”

“I saw him once recently, it seems he went abroad.”

Speaking of Chu Yu, Fu Siyu was also puzzled; he always felt that Chu Yu seed familiar.

He had planned to learn more about Chu Yu once he was less busy, but before he could find the ti, Chu Yu had gone abroad.

“Is that so?” Shu Wan frowned slightly, as if pondering sothing.

“Where have you been all this ti?”

Fu Siyu stared at Shu Wan, “Tell about it, both Fu Yang and I are very worried about you.”

“I indeed want to talk to you.”

So, in the ti that followed, Shu Wan explained the cause and effect of her traveling back and forth three tis to Fu Siyu.

She did not shy away from sharing her experiences in the palace.

As noon ca, the temperature in the hospital room rose slightly, Shu Wan took a sip of tea and finally cald down, “That’s how it is.”

As the words fell, Shu Wan added, “I think we still are—”

Shu Wan hadn’t finished speaking when Fu Siyu directly interrupted her, “You are my wife, that can’t change, and I’m not soone who would mind.”

Fu Siyu looked straight into Shu Wan’s eyes, “If it hadn’t been for him, I would never have t you. I told you long ago, being chosen by you is a fortune, I am very fortunate, and seek nothing more.”

Fu Siyu’s words made Shu Wan swallow back what she had left unsaid.

She slightly lowered her gaze, “After all, I should be the one apologising.”

“Every person knows best their own taste,” Fu Siyu looked at Shu Wan, “How do you know that we don’t feel very fortunate?”

Shu Wan fell silent.

“I just sent a ssage to Fu Yang, he should be back soon.”

Fu Siyu held Shu Wan’s hand a bit tighter, “Don’t overthink, I believe, on so level, he and I share the sa thoughts.”

Because of love, Fu Siyu wished for Shu Wan to be happy; as long as she was happy, everything was fine.

Speaking of Fu Yang arriving, the door of the hospital room was pushed open, and Fu Yang with silver-white hair strode in.

Compared to when Shu Wan had left, Fu Yang had grown taller, his features hadn’t changed much, just a bit more maturity settled between his brows, a little less of the youthful exuberance.

Seeing Shu Wan, the usually indifferent Fu Yang actually had teary eyes.

He walked forward two steps, then stopped, his lips moved as if he wanted to say sothing, but ultimately he remained silent.

Instead, Shu Wan, got up, walked two steps towards Fu Yang and smiled, “Fu Yang.”

Fu Yang bit his lip, but couldn’t hold back the tears in the corners of his eyes. Now taller than Shu Wan by a head, he easily hugged her, “Mom.”

He had always found that word difficult to say, but since Shu Wan fell unconscious, Fu Yang understood more than before what Shu Wan ant to him and Fu Siyu.

In this ho, it had never been Shu Wan who couldn’t leave him and Fu Siyu, but them who couldn’t leave Shu Wan.

Having not seen Shu Wan for too long, Fu Yang, now a notable figure at school, showed a rare sorrowful side, wiping away a tear, “I missed you, dad missed you too.”

“I know.”

Shu Wan gently patted Fu Yang’s back, “I’m back now.”

“Will you leave again?”

“I won’t.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

With Shu Wan’s promise, Fu Yang finally let her go and glanced at Fu Siyu sitting nearby.

Although he didn’t say it, he knew in his heart that over these three years, the one who missed Shu Wan the most was still Fu Siyu.

He wanted to stay with Shu Wan, but he held back, “I’ll go out to buy sothing to eat, what would you like?”

“Anything, I’d like sothing spicy.”

“Okay.”

Fu Yang turned and left, leaving the space to Shu Wan and Fu Siyu.

As he walked out, he took out his phone, wanting to share this good news with his best friend now.

“Brother Chu, mom is back, how is everything going for you abroad?”

However, the ssage was t with silence.
