Chapter 478: Chapter 270 That Day_2
Today was a beautiful day, with the golden sun pushing through the azure sky, showering warm rays that even pierced through the windows and spilled onto the hospital corridors.
Fu Yang stood at the doorway of the hospital room, watching the sunlight rest on Fu Siyu’s shoulders, but it felt as if it had rged with darkness, leaving no warmth to be felt.
He still couldn’t accept that Shu Wan had beco comatose, nor did he know how to persuade Fu Siyu, because even he himself couldn’t let it go.
It was the ti of the New Year when wishes were exchanged, and naturally, Shu Wan had received many.
“Happy New Year, what are you doing at ho? I’ve got your New Year’s gift ready, don’t forget mine. With your rich husband and your own profitable company, I won’t accept any cheap gifts.”
“Babe, the New Year’s cover of that magazine was such a success; the editor called to say it broke sales records. He wants to book you for the spring issue as well; what do you think?”
“Shu Wan, co to the set next Saturday, let’s go to the Vini Film Festival together.”
The phone was full of ssages, yet not a single one had a response.
On social dia, fans also expressed their wishes for Shu Wan.
[Happy New Year, hubby!! Keep up the hard work in the new year, I super love your work!!]
[Happy New Year, baby, may you be safe and healthy, happy and carefree. In the new year, we will also move forward together.]
[Ti flies, it’s a new year again. This year, we should walk side by side as well.]
Shu Wan had always enjoyed interacting with her fans; this ti, there was no response from her either.
But everyone didn’t mind, after all, it was during the New Year holiday, and furthermore, Shu Wan and Fu Siyu were in a period of passionate love, so it was normal for them to not have ti to attend to online comnts.
Until a journalist revealed, “Shu Wan seriously ill and hospitalized, has beco vegetative.”
Once this was revealed, fans were fiercely cursing the informant, feeling that spreading such rumors during the New Year was inhumane.
However, gradually, photos of Fu Yang and Fu Siyu frequently entering and exiting the hospital surfaced.
From the photos, the expressions on the father and son’s faces were both grim.
And almost a full day had passed since the reveal, with no clarification from anyone; people finally felt that sothing was amiss.
Until Wang Tian made a statent, announcing Shu Wan would temporarily cease all business activities due to health reasons, and what seed like baseless rumors were finally confird.
It caused a stir instantly.
[??? Wasn’t everything fine before the new year? How did she suddenly fall seriously ill and beco comatose? Fuck, I feel like I’m dreaming, it’s so unreal.]
[Oh my god, I don’t even want to think how heartbroken Fu Siyu and Fu Yang must be, at the ti he loves her most, she doesn’t wake up. My god.]
[I can’t accept this, it must be an early April Fool’s joke, right? Shu Wan is such a good person, how could she beco comatose?]
Countless guesses and rumors were flying, but at this mont, no one had the heart to bother with these online comnts.
Fu Siyu and Fu Yang stood vigil day and night in the hospital, Shu Wan remained unconscious, and the countless prayers for a miracle did not manifest for her.
Many days had passed, and Shu Wan’s test results still showed no change.
Looking at Fu Siyu’s solemn face, Fu Yang pursed his lips, “Dad, how long has it been since you slept?”
Fu Siyu’s eyelids fluttered, his voice hoarse, “I’m fine.”
“You need to eat sothing,” Fu Yang walked to the bedside. “I’ll watch here; you go out for so air. I promise I won’t leave for a step.”
“Okay.”
To Fu Yang’s surprise, Fu Siyu actually heeded his advice this ti.
“Then go quickly, rest assured, if anything happens, I’ll tell you right away.”
Fu Siyu took a long look at Shu Wan, tucked her hand into the covers, and then turned to leave.
He exited the hospital and gave the driver an address.
Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a small shop.
Fu Siyu entered the shop. Since it wasn’t alti, and the students were on holiday, the shop was nearly empty save for the owner, who was playing with his phone behind the counter.
Hearing footsteps, the owner looked up, and upon seeing Fu Siyu, a smile spread across his face, “You’re here? Need sothing to eat?”
As he spoke, the owner glanced unconsciously behind Fu Siyu, casually inquiring, “Your wife didn’t co today?”
The owner wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but he thought Fu Siyu stiffened, even if just for a mont.
“No.” Fu Siyu replied, then walked straight inside. “I’ll take the usual seat and have the usual set al, just like before.”
“Alright.”
The set al was simple to prepare, and it didn’t take long for the owner to bring it over, “Here’s the set al you ordered.”
While speaking, the owner glanced at Fu Siyu and then was startled, “Didn’t sleep well last night? You look extrely haggard?”
“You can go ahead with your work.”
The owner, knowing when to withdraw, realized Fu Siyu must have encountered so trouble, so he didn’t inquire further. With a quick smile at Fu Siyu, he set down the bowl and left.
Now, only Fu Siyu was left at the table, steam wafting from the bowl, quickly dispersed by the cold wind from outside.
As ti trickled by, and the al grew cold, Fu Siyu finally lifted his hand.
But he didn’t reach for the chopsticks; instead, he turned and took down a slip of paper from the wall.
When Shu Wan and Fu Siyu used to dine here, they both wrote down wishes.
The piece of paper he was holding was what he had written back then.
Shu Wan once asked about his wish, which he never revealed, and now that he wanted to tell her, the chance was gone.
Fu Siyu unfolded the slip and read the eleven words written on it, “I hope Shu Wan will always stay here.”
The wish had fallen through.
