After finishing his words, Fu Siyu glanced at the staff mber. Although Fu Siyu did not speak, the staff clearly received the ssage that he was superfluous.

"There are still people waiting for to pick them up. Since the two of you aren’t taking the car, I’ll head off first."

After speaking, the staff mber hurriedly drove off.

The amusent park had already been booked privately, and they had specifically instructed not to get close to Fu Siyu and Shu Wan. At this mont, the the park seed particularly serene.

Different music emanated from the various sections, intertwining, making the secluded path where the two were even quieter.

Light from the cartoon lampposts spilled through the branches, now devoid of leaves, and cast interwoven, mottled shadows on the ground.

Leather shoes fell upon the mottled tree shadows and lifted away, bringing a cold, hard sound of footsteps.

In the cold silence of the winter night, Shu Wan leaned on Fu Siyu’s shoulder but felt a bit hot.

She raised her hand, touched her face, and it was feverish.

Fu Siyu remained silent, as did Shu Wan, quietly observing the scenery around them.

Every so often within the park, there would be snack carts, and now the sweet fragrance of popcorn wafted by.

As soon as Shu Wan looked up, Fu Siyu had already walked over, "Grab a box."

"Okay."

When it ca ti to pay, Fu Siyu turned his head slightly, "My phone is in my pocket, you can take it out."

"Oh."

Shu Wan took the phone out of Fu Siyu’s pocket and was about to ask for the password when the phone unlocked automatically with facial recognition.

Shu Wan opened the QR code for the vendor to scan and then took the popcorn.

After they had walked so distance, Shu Wan asked, "How does your phone have my face unlock?"

"I set it up before; it’s just more convenient, isn’t it?"

But Shu Wan knew it wasn’t just about convenience. Things like phones, so private in nature, are only made accessible to those with whom one is very intimate.

"Oh."

Shu Wan responded and said nothing else.

She slowly ate the popcorn, the crunching sound echoing in Fu Siyu’s ears, piquing his interest, "I want to try so too."

"Sure."

Shu Wan subconsciously passed the box to Fu Siyu and then rembered, with his back to her, he had no spare hand to take the box.

Shu Wan had no choice but to take a few pieces and bring them to Fu Siyu’s mouth, "Here you go."

Fu Siyu bite down, careful not to touch Shu Wan, "Delicious."

"Mhm."

Even though Fu Siyu didn’t touch her, when he spoke, the warmth of his breath brushed against the tips of Shu Wan’s fingers, causing her to subconsciously draw back.

Together, the two continued walking and sharing the sa box of popcorn in silence.

As they neared the exit, fireworks suddenly erupted in the park, and Shu Wan instinctively turned her head to look.

But she forgot she was just about to feed Fu Siyu so popcorn, her hand already extended. Distracted, she tilted it slightly.

Fu Siyu, out of habit, bit down, and both of them froze at the sa mont.

Because Fu Siyu had bitten Shu Wan’s finger.

Of course, calling it a "bite" was not quite accurate. It was more of a "nibble."

Shu Wan only felt a warmth at her fingertips. Surprised, she turned her head to find that Fu Siyu had already let go of her hand. "Sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose."

Shu Wan, of course, knew that Fu Siyu hadn’t done it on purpose; she had been distracted by the fireworks. "It’s fine. We’re at the entrance now. You can put down."

"Okay."

Getting off Fu Siyu’s back, Shu Wan walked toward the entrance on her own. She put her hands in her pockets and involuntarily curled her fingers.

Seeing Shu Wan silent and not speaking, Fu Siyu thought she might have misunderstood him as doing it on purpose. He quickly stepped in front of her and looked straight into her eyes. "I really didn’t do it on purpose just now. Although I want to be closer to you, I would never use such ans."

Shu Wan didn’t quite catch what Fu Siyu was saying, except for the part about "wanting to be closer to you," which she heard very clearly.

In the night, her ears turned red. She didn’t know how to respond to Fu Siyu’s words.

In the past, even when faced with overwhelming forces, Shu Wan had never felt this flustered.

The two now stood in a backlit area where Fu Siyu couldn’t make out Shu Wan’s expression, seeing only her lowered brows and eyes.

Her silence left Fu Siyu anxious as well.

Fu Siyu, who was always successful in business negotiations, hesitated repeatedly at this mont, unsure of how to explain things to Shu Wan.

"I’m sorry. I was looking at the exit just now and didn’t pay attention, so I bit the wrong way. Don’t be mad. We have been together for so long; you should know that I’m not such a frivolous person."

Shu Wan had been quite perplexed, but hearing Fu Siyu’s rapid-fire explanations and the clear panic and nervousness in his tone imdiately put her at ease.

She looked up at Fu Siyu, whose eyes were clearly nervous. The usually composed and cool-headed Fu Siyu now seed like a restless young man.

For so reason, Shu Wan felt a sudden flutter of joy in her heart.

"I know, I’m not angry."

"Good." Seeing that Shu Wan was willing to speak, Fu Siyu felt a bit more relieved, but he still couldn’t help asking, "Are you really not mad?"

When had she ever seen Fu Siyu so lacking in confidence? Shu Wan couldn’t help but laugh a little, reaching into the popcorn box to take out two kernels and offered them to Fu Siyu’s mouth. "Have another one."

Fu Siyu glanced at the popcorn and finally confird that Shu Wan wasn’t angry.

He lowered his head to bite the popcorn, but his gaze remained fixed on Shu Wan’s face. "Tasty."

Feeling sowhat self-conscious under Fu Siyu’s stare, Shu Wan subconsciously wanted to look away, but after shifting her gaze just half-an-inch, she couldn’t resist looking back at him.

Their eyes t again, both smiling unintentionally.

Not far away, the park’s fireworks shot up into the sky again, exploding into a huge blossom, brilliant and dazzling.

One firework after another burst into the air, the bright and dimming lights shining on the two of them standing at the entrance.

"Let’s go ho."

The nights in Imperial City were very cold, and despite the heavy clothing, the chilly air was inescapable.

"Okay."

Walking through the sporadic fireworks, the two headed out of the park.

Sitting in the car on the way back, ward up, Shu Wan picked up her phone to check for any ssages.

Then she saw several calls from Wang Tian.

Shu Wan didn’t return Wang Tian’s calls but opened Weibo to take a look and sure enough, she found herself at the top of the trending searches.

It turned out that she and Fu Siyu had been photographed while at the hotel.

Seeing countless comnts accusing her of infidelity within marriage, Shu Wan pondered for a mont, then turned to Fu Siyu. "Don’t we have a marriage certificate?"

Fu Siyu was sowhat surprised. "Why do you suddenly ask this?"

After the surprise, Fu Siyu even felt a bit of nervousness, thinking to himself, Didn’t we agree not to be angry just now? Could it be that she’s bringing up the idea of divorce ahead of schedule?
